Rise

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint John Bosco

Rise!

“Because your soul has been purified of the anguish of doubts, you now have been given the power to rise to the heavenly Father and be immersed in the delightful and joyful contemplation of the Holy Trinity. (Jesus) (October 23-24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: He took the child by the hand and said to her, “Talitha koum,”

which means, “Little girl, I say to you, arise!” (Mark 5)

Prayer Meditation: Lord You so want to heal us and purify us of what is holding us back- illness, doubts, fears and anxieties, the stress of everyday life! Every day You call us to life abundant in You- to rise from the things that enemy has come to kill steal and destroy (John 10:10)! Lord take us by the hand today- say to us Rise! Lord may we come when You call!

Show and Tell

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Monday of the Fourth Week in Ordinary Time

Show and Tell

Jesus: “Do you know why I make you write about the different events in your life? Because these are reflections of My graces in your soul that you – I know it well – would never tell others. In this manner, I oblige you to write so all will see the Divine Work that I have done in your soul since your childhood” (July 24, 1965)

Today’s Readings: “Go home to your family and announce to them
all that the Lord in his pity has done for you.” (Mark 5)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, how can we ever repay You for Your Great Mercy towards us and how You have set us free from sin, misery and death! Lord You have given us supernatural life and have set us free from the chains that bound us! Each day through prayer, meditating on Your Word, and through the Sacraments guided by the Holy Spirit You have not left us orphans! Each day You are changing us into Your image from glory to glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18)! Lord help us to show and tell through our words and deeds all that You have done for us!

No Matter How Small — January 28, 2023

No Matter How Small

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Fourth Sunday in Ordinary Time

No Matter How Small

“You, little spark, no matter how small you are, were created by Me and from Me. Draw close to Me without fear.” (Jesus) (August 21, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Rather, God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise,
and God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong,
and God chose the lowly and despised of the world,
those who count for nothing,
to reduce to nothing those who are something,
so that no human being might boast before God (1 Corinthians 1)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we can feel so small and insignificant and begin to wonder who are we that You would be mindful of us (Psalm 8:4)! We are foolish and weak in our own eyes and in the eyes of the world yet You chose us to be Your Children! Our Lady has told Elizabeth that it is through the humble and little that the great outpouring of grace of the Flame of Love will shake the world! Lord help us to walk the little way of darkness as we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7).

Bending In The Wind —

Bending In The Wind

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Thomas Aquinas

Bending In The Wind

Whoever serve Me, My little one, cannot be a reed bending in the wind. She must persevere firmly at My side with an unshakeable determination. (Jesus) (February 4, 1963)

Today’s Readings: He woke up,
rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Quiet! Be still!”
The wind ceased and there was great calm.
Then he asked them, “Why are you terrified?
Do you not yet have faith?” (Mark 4)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we are so often reeds bending in the wind at the slightest puff of trouble! In the storms of life big or small we despair of Your Help even though we know You are there sleeping in our small boats! Lord give us unshakable faith and determination even when it seems we are sinking because You are always at our sides!

Sowing Seeds — January 27, 2023

Sowing Seeds

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Friday of the Third Week of Ordinary Time

Sowing Seeds

If, eventually, you ask to speak and it is granted to you, may my power be with you. Let each word be like a seed planted so those listening produce an abundant harvest. (Mary) (July 26, 1971)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to the crowds:

“This is how it is with the Kingdom of God;

it is as if a man were to scatter seed on the land

and would sleep and rise night and day

and the seed would sprout and grow,

he knows not how. (Mark 4)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord, we do not know how the seed will grow or where it will take root, that is not our job. Our job is to be faithful to planting the seeds to spread Your Kingdom here on Earth. Mary’s Flame of Love will ignite many hearts so let The Spirit speak through us when the time is right (Matthew 10) as we sow the seeds of Your Kingdom here on Earth as it is in Heaven!

Stir Into Flame — January 26, 2023

Stir Into Flame

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saints Timothy and Titus

Not For Sissies- Stir Into Flame

Suffer with courage, perseverance and sincere abandonment. All that you can do for Me on Earth is meritorious (Jesus) (July 24, 1963)

Today’s Readings:

For this reason, I remind you to stir into flame

the gift of God that you have through the imposition of my hands.

For God did not give us a spirit of cowardice

but rather of power and love and self-control. (2 Timothy 1)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord You did not give us a spirit of fear but of power, love and self- control. Stir the Flame of Love in us so that we will persevere in the work You have given us no matter how small it may seem in the natural- every sacrifice and prayer offered is for the love of You and the salvation of souls. Lord, my mother always told me that this life is not for sissies- give us courage to know and do Your will in the present moment even if we are doing it afraid!

Blinded By The Light — January 25, 2023

Blinded By The Light

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul

Blinded By The Light

As I was kneeling silently before the Lord, a great brightness shone before my spiritual eyes, but I could not see it clearly. It was like a living light which sparkled and sent out small flashing particles in every direction. These particles were smaller than a grain of dust. Nevertheless, even the smallest particle shone with a great flash. (Elizabeth) (May 2, 1962)

Today’s Readings: On his journey, as he was nearing Damascus,

a light from the sky suddenly flashed around him.

He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him,

“Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?”

He said, “Who are you, sir?”

The reply came, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.(Acts 9)

Prayer Meditation- Lord as I spent time in prayer with You this morning meditating on this well known and loved conversion story of Saint Paul it struck me that he was blinded by Love, Your Flame of Love! Lord, some of us may have had conversion experiences like this where suddenly the scales fall from our eyes. Many of us do not have some “I’ve seen the light” experience but our hearts are illumined by Your Light of Love little by little, maybe kneeling in prayer, spending more and more time seeking Your Face. In any event, when the Your Light hits the darkness of our lives, we are never the same! There is a movie called Full of Grace about the life of Mary after the Ascension. My favorite line is when Mary tells the Apostles whatever they do in their lives to always remember that moment when we felt Your Gaze and saw Your Face! And if we haven’t felt Your Gaze yet, Lord give us faith to ask for this Grace! Because nothing is ever the same after hearts are set on fire with the Flame of Your Love! And if we have forgotten about that moment Lord we ask You to remind us of who we are in You! Lord, like Paul let us now proceed because You have made us Your own. Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead we press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:12-14).

Whoever Does The Will Of God — January 24, 2023

Whoever Does The Will Of God

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Francis de Sales

Whoever Does The Will of God

For the teachings and inspirations of

the Lord Jesus (of God the Holy Spirit), the Flame of Love of the

Blessed Virgin prepares a road in our souls. If we refer to the Flame

of Love, the Lord Jesus will enlighten our intellect to know what

we must do, for example, how we can choose between two things

and which is the most perfect and represents the Will of God. (Elizabeth) (July 11, 1975)

Today’s Readings: And looking around at those seated in the circle he said,

“Here are my mother and my brothers.

For whoever does the will of God

is my brother and sister and mother.” (Mark 3)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today You tell us that those who do Your Will are those who are Your true family. Rather than a rebuke to Our Blessed Mother, You were confirming She who always did Your Will perfectly. Lord, we strive to do Your Will but we fill our days and our heads with noise that drowns You out- it is only when we get still with You that we can even hope to hear You! Let us imitate Our Mother who pondered in Her Heart always and so was able to give Her Fiat to Your Holy Will which is love and mercy itself! In the words of St. Francis de Sales, By turning your eyes on God in meditation, your whole soul will be filled with God. Begin all your prayers in the presence of God.

His Right Hand Has Won Victory — January 23, 2023

His Right Hand Has Won Victory

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Day of Prayer for Legal Protection of Unborn Children

His Right Hand Has Won Victory

Unite your thoughts with Me so our hearts can beat in unison.

Do not look to the right or the left. Look only into My eyes. That

will invite you to be recollected and help you to obtain the victory

for the success of My work of Redemption. Thank you, Elizabeth!

Your understanding love touches the deepest part of My Heart because

My Divine Heart also feels with human affection.” (Jesus) June 29, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Sing to the LORD a new song,
for he has done wondrous deeds;
His right hand has won victory for him,
his holy arm. (Psalm 98)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today, we pray for legal protection for the most vulnerable among us. It is sad and often hard to believe that we need to do this to protect life made in Your image and likeness, however, so many have been deceived into believing the lies of what Pope St. John Paul called the “culture of death” And yet this year, we can be reminded that indeed Your Right Hand has one victory because on June, 24, 2022, on the Feast Day of Your Sacred Heart, an unjust decision was overturned in favor of unborn life! And we know it has taken years and we know the fight is far from over, but today, maybe we can take even a few moments to meditate on the goodness of Your Sacred Heart and Your everlasting patience and love for us! Help us not to look or veer to the left or the right in this culture of ours but to keep our eyes and our hearts solidly fixed on You as we plead mercy for all of our brothers and sisters!

Seeing A Great Light — January 21, 2023

Seeing A Great Light

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Third Sunday in Ordinary Time

Seeing a Great Light

The greatest suffering is when my soul is in total darkness

and the awful torment of doubts weigh upon me. (Elizabeth) (Full Diary Page 105)

Today’s Readings: Land of Zebulun and land of Naphtali,
the way to the sea, beyond the Jordan,
Galilee of the Gentiles,
the people who sit in darkness have seen a great light,
on those dwelling in a land overshadowed by death
light has arisen.
 (Matthew 4)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today in the Gospel You come to Capernaum to begin Your Ministry preaching the words- repent and believe in the Gospel. You came to the people sitting in darkness to bring Your Great Light! Today Lord so many of us can feel as if we are sitting in darkness- maybe it is unconfessed sin, secrets buried inside, anxieties and fears, or simply a lack of feeling Your Presence. When that darkness hits Lord, let us examine ourselves- if it is through our fault help us to repent and begin again in the Sacrament of Confession so that You can heal us! So often the light will return at once when we do this. But what if the darkness is not something we brought on ourselves-  maybe just a dry desolate little season we are going through? Because You tell us that the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand and that is true whether we feel it or not. Lord, so often the secret in releasing our faith is in praise- let us sing with the psalmist today The LORD is my light and my salvation;
whom should I fear?
The LORD is my life’s refuge;
of whom should I be afraid? (Psalm 27) and let us come to You today in faith and trust knowing that even when we sit in darkness You are the Great Light, the Flame of Love, who has set us free and will set us free!
