Love for Jesus forms the transformation of the soul in Him
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; even as I have loved you, that you also love one another. (John 13:34)
Volume 9-October 1, 1910
Having received Communion I felt all transformed in blessed Jesus, and I said to myself: ‘How can one maintain this transformation with Jesus?’ And in my interior it seemed that Jesus was saying: “My daughter, if you want to be always transformed in Me – even more, to be one single thing with Me – love Me always and you will maintain your transformation with Me. In fact, love is fire, and whatever woods are thrown into the fire, small or big, green or dry, they all take the form of fire and convert into fire itself; and after these woods have been burned, one can no longer discern which wood was one and which another, neither the green one nor the dry one – one can see nothing but fire. The same when the soul never ceases to love Me. Love is fire that transmutes the soul in God; love unites, its flames invest all of the human operations and give them the form of the divine operations.”

Twenty Sixth Sunday of Ordinary Time- Memorial of St. Therese
If There Is Any Encouragement In Christ
Jesus: “I did not say that to discourage you. I want to encourage you so that you do not seek relief by looking to the earth in your battles. Look only at Me. I want that, while snuggling yourself right against Me and surrendering to Me in your arduous struggles, you never stop looking only upwards.” (Jesus) (February 7, 1963)
Today’s Readings: Brothers and sisters: If there is any encouragement in Christ, any solace in love, any participation in the Spirit, any compassion and mercy, complete my joy by being of the same mind, with the same love, united in heart, thinking one thing. (Philippians 2)
Prayer Meditation- O Lord we adore You, we worship You, and we glorify You because today is the day of the Memorial of St. Therese and even though it is a Sunday which supersedes the Memorial, Mother Church gives us the beautiful second reading about encouragement and being of the same mind as You. St. Therese has to be the most encouraging saint- she has told us that You do not look at the greatness of our actions but the love with which we do them! That love comprises all vocations, that love is everything, and that it embraces all times and all places because it is eternal! That the least act of pure love is of more value than all the other works put together! O Lord we love You in all of Your Saints! And how do we possess this love and encouragement in You Lord and complete Your joy? By not looking at the earth but only at You Lord surrendering all of our struggles with the confidence of a little child!
But standing by the cross of Jesus were his mother, and his mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary Mag′dalene. 26 When Jesus saw his mother, and the disciple whom he loved standing near, he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son!” 27 Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. (John 19:25-27)

This morning my most sweet Jesus was not coming, and I had to exercise much patience in waiting for Him; I even reached the point of trying to go out of my usual state, for I felt no more strength to continue it. He was not coming, suffering seemed to have fled from me, I felt my senses within myself – there was nothing left but to add an effort to go out. But while I was doing this, blessed Jesus came, and forming a circle with His arms, He surrounded my head. At that touch, I no longer felt myself within myself, and I saw Our Lord very indignant with the world. As I wanted to placate Him, He said to me: “Do not want to occupy yourself with Me for now, but I pray you to occupy yourself with my Mother. Console Her, for She is very afflicted because of the heavier chastisements I am about to pour upon the earth.” Who can say how afflicted I was left?

Encircling Wall of Fire
The fire of charity is burning me and I want only what the Lord wants. (Elizabeth) (September 18, 1965 )
Today’s Readings: But I will be for her an encircling wall of fire, says the LORD, and I will be the glory in her midst.”
Sing and rejoice, O daughter Zion! See, I am coming to dwell among you, says the LORD. (Zechariah 2)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, You have promised that You will never leave us or forsake us, that if we keep Your Word You will make Your home with us (John 14:23). As promised, at Baptism and Confirmation You have poured out Your Spirit on us- and this Spirit lives in us, the same one that raised Jesus from the dead. (Romans 8:11). Lord, You appeared to Moses as flaming fire and for us who have received the Holy Spirit You are indeed a consuming fire! (Hebrews 12:29). Lord fan the flames of faith in us and be for us an encircling wall of fire and the glory in our midst so that we will indeed what only want You want. Consume us with the fire of Your Love!
So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God. (1 Corinthians 10:31)
Volume 11, September 29, 2012
Another day, having read in a book about a female saint who first had almost no need of food, and then needed to feed herself very often – her necessity being such that she reached the point of crying if they would not give her something – I remained concerned, thinking about my state, since once I used to take very little food and I was forced to bring it up, and now I take more and I do not bring it up. And I was saying to myself: ‘Blessed Jesus, what is this? I consider this as my lack of mortification; it is my badness that leads me to these miseries.’ And Jesus, on coming, told me: “My daughter, do you want to know why? Here I am to make you content. At the beginning, in order to make the soul completely my own, to empty her of all that is sensible and to place in her all that is celestial and divine, I detach her even from the necessity of food, in such a way that she almost does not need it. So, finding herself in this condition, she touches with her own hand that Jesus alone is enough, that nothing is necessary for her any more; and the soul rises high, she despises everything, she cares for nothing else – her life is celestial. After I have established her well, for years and years, no longer fearing that what is sensible might cause her even a shadow of an impression – because after the soul has tasted the heavenly it is almost impossible that she might appreciate dregs and dung – I give her back to ordinary life, because I want my children to take part in the things created by Me for love of them, according to my Will, not to their own. And it is only for love of these children that I am forced to feed the others. Not only this, but to see these celestial children take the necessary things with sacrifice, with detachment, and according to my Will, is for Me the most beautiful reparation for all those who use the natural things not according to my Will. How can you say that there is badness in you for this? Not at all. What’s wrong with taking, in my Will, a little more or a little less of dregs? Nothing – nothing. In my Will there can be nothing evil, but always good, even in the most insignificant things.”

Feast of Saints Michael, Gabriel, and Raphael, archangels
In The Arms Of The Angels
I woke up early that morning when I heard my guardian angel saying: “The angels and the saints are looking at you with great admiration.” The angel asked me to increase my profound adoration and praise for the Divine Majesty, “Because rare are those chosen to receive graces to that extent.” (Elizabeth) (November 17, 1962)
Today’s Readings: You will see greater things than this.” And he said to him, “Amen, amen, I say to you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man.” (John 1)
Prayer Meditation- Lord today we are reminded that we are surrounded by the Holy Angels who protect us and guide us! Lord may we increase our praise and adoration for You, Lord of Hosts because the Kingdom of Heaven is right here and right now but veiled in this world- in the world to come we will see clearly what eye has not seen for those who love You! (1 Corinthians 2:9). As You told the Apostle Nathaniel- the best is yet to come!
How there can be no imperfections in the Divine Will, and one must enter into It completely naked. One who does not do the Divine Will destroys the Divine Life within himself, and this is a crime which deserves no pity. How the Divine Will alone is rest. Scourges.
And he said, “Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return; the Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.” (Job 1:21)
Volume 23-September 28, 1927
My daughter, in my Divine Will there can be neither imperfections nor badness. My Will has the purifying virtue, and destroyer of all evils; Its light purifies, Its fire destroys even the root of evil; Its sanctity sanctifies the soul and embellishes her in a way that she must serve to make It happy and to let It take all Its delights with one who lives in It. Nor does It admit to live in my Divine Volition creatures who may bring imperfections and bitternesses within them; those would be things against Its nature, and therefore it could never admit them to live within Itself. Rather, what you say are impressions of uglinesses, of imperfections, of badnesses; and my Will uses them as footstool or as earth which It keeps under Its feet, and without even looking at them, It thinks about enjoying Its little daughter and placing on her lap Its acts, Its joys, Its riches to make her happy, so as to be able to enjoy from her happiness. My Will gives what It has, and does not admit within Itself things, even the slightest, which do not belong to It. Therefore, one who wants to live in It must enter into It completely naked, because the first thing that my Volition does is to clothe the soul with light, embellish her with divine raiments, and impress on her forehead the kiss of perennial peace, of happiness and of firmness. What is human has nothing to do within It – it has neither life nor a place, and the soul herself feels such disgust for what does not belong to my Volition, that she would lay down her life rather than take part in what does not belong to the sanctity of my Divine Will.”

Thursday of the Twenty Fifth Week of Ordinary Time
Who Then Is This?
Mary: “You have no reason to fear. Although we prepared your soul, you must unceasingly feel that you are an instrument in our hands. Attribute nothing to yourself. Fear is inevitable, it is a reflection of your pride. Do you think you are capable of anything? Devote yourself fully, my little one. Recognize your nothingness. We will lead you.” (Mary) (December 1, 1962)
Today’s Readings: Herod the tetrarch heard about all that was happening, and he was greatly perplexed because some were saying, “John has been raised from the dead”; others were saying, “Elijah has appeared”; still others, “One of the ancient prophets has arisen.” But Herod said, “John I beheaded. Who then is this about whom I hear such things?” And he kept trying to see him. (Luke 5)
Prayer Meditation- Lord we praise You today because we read in the Gospel about how Herod is perplexed by who Jesus is. You see, Herod thought he was in control as he had already beheaded John the Baptist. And now there was a new prophet and he was curious. Herod represents the cynicism, corruption and worldliness so present particularly in the last century and today. Lord Jesus, when you were on the Earth You were humble and You attributed everything to the Father. And You are asking us Lord to be instruments of Your Grace in these times- not to fear as we recognize our nothingness as You lead us in Your Most Holy and Divine Will. Others may or may not say about us, who then is this, as we quietly make sacrifices and acts of reparation for the world we are in today, but let us be faithful, totally united to the Holy Trinity in all that we do for Your Glory!
The sea is his, for he made it, and his hands formed the dry land. (Psalm 95:5)
Volume 36- September 27, 1938
I am always in the sea of the Divine Will, and I make my pains and unspeakable bitternesses flow within It, so that they may be invested by Its divine strength and may turn into light for me and for all. And my sweet Jesus, visiting my little soul, all goodness told me: “My blessed daughter, the sea gives room to all the things that are immersed in it. It gives room to the fish, keeping them submerged inside its waters, giving them everything that is needed to keep them alive. The fish are the most fortunate, the richest – they lack nothing because they live always in the sea. Oh! if the fish got out of the sea, their life would end. The sea receives everything, it lends itself to all, it bathes everything and everyone and hides them all inside its waters. If the sailor wants to cross the sea and go to different regions, the water of the sea receives the ship, becomes the way, accompanies him, never leaves him alone until he reaches his destination. Everyone can find a place in the sea. Such is my Will: all can find their place in It, and with unspeakable love It makes Itself life of each one, way to guide them, light to dispel the darkness of life, strength to sustain them. It never leaves them alone; whatever they do, It wants to do it together with them. Oh! how It grieves when It sees the creatures outside of Its sea, because It sees them ugly, dirty, so dissimilar from It as to be disgusting. Therefore, the most fortunate are those who live in my Will; they are carried on the lap of Its waves, and as long as they live in It, It will take care of all that is needed for their good.”

Take Nothing For The Journey
“I grasp your hands. I will go with you. May our feet journey together.” (Jesus) (November 29, 1962)
Today’s Readings: He said to them, “Take nothing for the journey, neither walking stick, nor sack, nor food, nor money, and let no one take a second tunic.(Luke 9)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, on this journey of life we can load ourselves down with so many things- so many props, so many things we think we can’t live without. So many attachments! We all have them- money, food, need for approval, addictions, stuff! But Lord we can’t grasp Your Hands if we don’t fully let go- Lord help us to rid ourselves of whatever baggage is getting in the way of our walk with You! Because only You lead the way to the narrow road of life! (Matthew 7:14).
