Abounding in Kindness
Sometimes I collapsed from tiredness. However, the great sufferings brought forth Jesus’ kindness. Sometimes, I suffer overwhelming spiritual sorrows and can hardly stay on my feet. (Elizabeth) (January 14, 1963)
Today’s Readings: For you, O Lord, are good and forgiving, abounding in kindness to all who call upon you. Hearken, O LORD, to my prayer and attend to the sound of my pleading. (Psalm 86)
Prayer Meditation- Lord some days we are just not feeling it- we just can’t go any further. Overstressed, overworked, maybe just angry and dealing with resentment like Jonah in the first reading today. Maybe we are just plain tired. Lord we know in any difficulty and trial that if we call Your Name, You are with us as You are abounding in kindness to all who call on You! Hearken Lord to the sound of our cries- may they become prayers of petition and praise as they rise to You!

Tuesday of the Twenty Seventh Week of Ordinary Time- Saint Faustina
Anxious and Worried
“I, your Master, will care for you. I will free you from every worry. I only want to be everything to you so that nothing ties you to the earth.” (Jesus) (April 20, 1964)
Today’s Readings: The Lord said to her in reply, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and worried about many things. There is need of only one thing. Mary has chosen the better part and it will not be taken from her.” (Luke 10)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, so many of us give into anxiety and worry. It seems that our lives these days just lend themselves to echoing Martha’s complaint of being overwhelmed and overworked. Lord, this happens most often when we lose our focus on You and what matters most but instead spend our days chasing what at the end of the day matters least. Lord we have need of only one thing- that You would be our everything so that You will free us from every worry and fear and all thoughts that are not of You! Lord may our thoughts be as one- banish anxiety, panic, fear, worry and stress today in our lives! As you told St. Faustina- My child, know that the greatest obstacles to holiness are discouragement and an exaggerated anxiety. These will deprive you of the ability to practice virtue. All temptations united together ought not disturb your interior peace, not even momentarily. Sensitiveness and discouragement are the fruits of self-love. Have confidence, My child. Do not lose heart in coming for pardon, for I am always ready to forgive you. As often as you beg for it, you glorify My mercy. (Diary, 1488)

Who Is Our Neighbor
Many people in your neighborhood have known you for years. You have fought your great battles before their eyes. (Mary) (November 19, 1962)
Today’s Readings: Which of these three, in your opinion, was neighbor to the robbers’ victim?” He answered, “The one who treated him with mercy.” Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.” (Luke 10)
Prayer Meditation- Lord who is our neighbor? And why is it that these days we don’t really seem to know our neighbors. Our neighbor is the single mother down the street struggling to raise kids alone, the affluent couple at Church whose child has just died of an overdose, the people at work who express opinions we don’t agree with but inside they are hurting and broken because they don’t know You Lord, the homeless beggar on our streets who has been failed by every system put into place to stop poverty but which cannot mend the human heart! Lord we can all bring You to them- sometimes in big ways, sometimes in small, sometimes just with a smile! Lord open our eyes to the brokenhearted! Let us start by doing what is necessary, then what is possible and suddenly we will be doing the impossible, make us instruments of Your Peace! (St. Francis)

Twenty Seventh Sunday of Ordinary Time
Guarding Our Hearts and Minds
With all my strength, I tried to safeguard my spiritual balance, which was already greatly reduced. (Elizabeth) (January 1, 1965)
Brothers and sisters:
Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, we try so hard to maintain our balance and peace but in this stressful world that we live in we cannot do this on our own. In fact without You we can do nothing! (John 15). Lord, help us to rid ourselves of senseless anxiety and bring everything to You in prayer with thanksgiving! Because in You we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us (Philippians 4:13). Help us always guard our hearts and minds in You Lord- think in our thinking today!
The Opening Of The House of the Divine Will in Corato
Then he said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother!” And from that hour the disciple took her to his own home. (John 19:27)
Volume 25-October 7, 1928
Then, the evening came of this day consecrated to the Queen of the Rosary, Queen of victories and of triumphs. And this is another beautiful sign that, just as the Sovereign Lady conquered Her Creator, and bejeweling Him with Her chains of love, She drew Him from Heaven to earth, to make Him form the Kingdom of Redemption, so will the sweet and powerful beads of Her Rosary make Her victorious and triumphant again before the Divinity, conquering the Kingdom of the Divine Fiat, to make It come into the midst of creatures.

Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary
Patient Persevering Love Never Gives Up
Your sacrifices unceasingly rise up to Me and I shower My abundant graces upon you and upon all who dedicate themselves for the glory of My Holy Name. Patient, persevering love never blunders. (Jesus) (March 6, 1964)
Today’s Readings: At that very moment he rejoiced in the Holy Spirit and said, “I give you praise, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, for although you have hidden these things from the wise and the learned you have revealed them to the childlike. Yes, Father, such has been your gracious will. (Luke 10)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we hear of how your disciples were sent out in Your Name and were able to deliver others in Your Name! Lord, there is power in the Name of Jesus and You send abundant graces upon all who call upon Your Holy Name in faith and trust! And yet You love to give these graces to the humble and the childlike. Today we celebrate an historic victory though the power of the Most Holy Rosary! Christendom was saved by prayer and perseverance through the intercession of Our Lady. Each day Your Children invoke Your Name and the Holy Name of Mary in the Hail Mary as we meditate on those mysteries which are still alive to us today. We can be with Mary at the Annunciation, at Your Birth, and at the foot of the Cross. We can follow You in Your childhood, public ministry, and console You at Calvary. We can rise with You in Your Resurrection and rise to Heaven with the Blessed Mother at Her Assumption. We can receive the outpouring of the Holy Spirit because You are outside of time! And we can do this all not for ourselves but for Your Glory and the good of all pleasing mercy, salvation, and sanctification of all souls because patient and persevering love never blunders and never says enough! So let us meditate with expectant faith and trust on all four mysteries- Joyful, Luminous, Sorrowful, and Glorious spreading the effect of grace of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary because the Kingdom is coming!
How The Divine Will is Primary Heartbeat of the Soul and of All Created Things
Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid. (John 14:27)
Volume 17-October 6, 1924
I was fusing all of myself in the Holy Divine Volition, and my sweet Jesus, moving in my interior, told me: “My daughter, how beautiful it is to see a soul fuse herself in my Will! As she fuses herself in It, the created heartbeat takes its place and life in the uncreated heartbeat, and forms a single one, and it runs and beats together with the uncreated heartbeat. This is the greatest happiness for the human heart: to palpitate in the eternal heartbeat of its Creator. My Will puts it in flight, and the human heartbeat flings itself into the center of its Creator.” Then I said to Him: ‘Tell me, my Love, how many times does your Volition go around within all creatures?’ And Jesus: “My daughter, in each heartbeat of creature my Will forms Its complete round in all Creation; and just as the heartbeat in the creature is continuous, and if the heartbeat ceases life ceases, in the same way, my Will, more than heartbeat, in order to give divine life to creatures, goes around and forms the heartbeat of my Will in each heart. See, then, how my Will is present in each creature: as primary heartbeat, because hers is secondary; even more, if she feels her heartbeat, it is by virtue of the heartbeat of my Will. Even more, this Will of Mine forms in her two heartbeats: one for the human heart, as life of the body, and one for the soul, as heartbeat and life of the soul. But do you want to know what this heartbeat of my Will does in the creature? If she thinks, my Will runs and circulates like blood in the veins of the soul, and gives her the divine thought, that she may put aside the human thought and give place to the thought of my Will. If she speaks, the word of my Will wants Its place. If she operates, if she walks, if she loves, my Will wants the place of her work, of her step, of her love. The love and the jealousy of my Will in the creature is so great that, while It palpitates, if the creature wants to think, It makes Itself thought; if she wants to look, It makes Itself eye; if she wants to speak, It makes Itself word; if she wants to operate, It makes Itself work; if she wants to walk, It makes Itself foot; if she wants to love, It makes Itself fire. In sum, It runs and goes around within each act of the creature in order to take Its primary place, which is due to It. But to Our greatest sorrow, the creature denies It this place of honor, and gives the place to her own human will; and my Will is forced to remain in the creature as if It had no thought, no eye, no word, no hands, no feet, without being able to carry out the life of my Will in the center of the soul of the creature. What sorrow! What highest ingratitude!

You Can Go Your Own Way
“I am your way and your life. Everything passes away, only your work for souls remains.” (Jesus) (January 18, 1964)
Today’s Readings: For we did not heed the voice of the Lord, our God, in all the words of the prophets whom he sent us, but each one of us went off after the devices of his own wicked heart, served other gods, and did evil in the sight of the Lord, our God.” (Baruch 1)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, we see two paths laid out for us today. In the readings, we see the path that leads to destruction. People stubborn of heart who did not heed the voice of the Lord causing You in the Gospel to cry “Woe”. Or we can take the path of repentance and like the psalm of today sing help us, O God our savior because of the glory of Your Name; deliver us and pardon our sins for Your Name’s sake (Psalm 79). Let us run back into Your Loving Arms because You are our Way and our Life! Lord we are Your children and You meant for us to depend on You in every aspect of our lives and not on ourselves. You are our Way and our Life- everything else passes.
Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is not greater than his master; nor is he who is sent greater than he who sent him. (John 13:16)
Volume 7- October 5, 1906
Continuing in my usual state, I found myself outside of myself together with baby Jesus. This time it seemed He felt like playing. He would press Himself against my breast and in my arms, and while looking at me with great love, now He would clasp me, now He would push me and almost knock against me with His little head, now He would kiss me so strongly that it seemed He wanted to enclose me and identify me with Himself. While He would do this, I would feel great pain – so much so, as to feel faint. But even though He would see me suffer like that He would not pay attention to me; on the contrary, if He would see from my face that I was suffering, since I would not dare to tell Him anything, He would do it harder, and would make me suffer more. Now, after He well gave vent to Himself, He told me: “My daughter, I am your master, and I can do with you whatever I want. Know that, since you are mine, you are no longer the master of yourself; and if you arbitrate something, even just one thought, one desire, one heartbeat, know that you are making a theft from Me.”

The Joy of the Lord is Our Strength
On the road, I said to Jesus, “You are the apple of my eyes.” He allowed me to feel the exultant joy of His Heart, and said, “You have not said this to Me for a long time. I never tire of hearing it. One cannot grow tired of love. Do you find yourself bored if I say the same thing often?” (Elizabeth/Jesus) (July 9, 1063 )
Today’s Readings: Do not be saddened this day, for rejoicing in the LORD must be your strength!” (Nehemiah 8)
Prayer Meditation: Lord in the first reading, after the Israelites return to the new temple, they are overwhelmed by hearing Your Word. So overwhelmed because they realize what they had been missing. And they are instructed to rejoice in You because that will be their strength. In the Gospel we see You sending out the disciples to spread the Gospel which is Your Kingdom and they are sent out with little to no extra baggage. We can all get weighed down and saddened by our baggage and our past and what we may have lost. But Lord, Your Word, Your Joy is our strength and will make us ready for anything that stands in front of us. Lord, let us never tire of hearing Your Word but let it rejoice our hearts and refresh our souls (Psalm 19)
