Snatching Them Out Of The Fire

SNATCHING THEM OUT OF THE FIRE

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Justin Martyr

Snatching Them Out Of The Fire

Mary: “Satan’s wild rage is growing steadily, he wants to dominate even persevering souls. Do not let him do this. Help me!” (Mary) (May 17, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Keep yourselves in the love of God
and wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ
that leads to eternal life.
On those who waver, have mercy;
save others by snatching them out of the fire. (Jude 17)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord today it seems like the fire is all around ready to engulf all that we love. And we want to save those we love and snatch them out of the fire but how do we do that when even persevering souls can have a hard time and so few endure sound doctrine (2 Timothy 4:3). When You return Lord will You find faith on Earth?  (Luke 8:18). O Lord You have taught us through Saint Faustina that when the merciful deed and the merciful word are not possible, there is always prayer. Prayer is never “just prayer” particularly when united to Your intercession for us in Heaven through the power of the Holy Spirit! . And it is through the powerful gift of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary the face of the Earth will be renewed as faith again takes root in souls! So let us pray unceasingly and with great longing for Your Kingdom to come because the renewal of the Earth, although flooded with sufferings, will come about by the power of the intercession of the Blessed Virgin (March 27, 1963). Come Holy Spirit, let us put out the fire of hatred with the fire of Your Love!

Blessed Is She — May 30, 2024

Blessed Is She

BLESSED IS SHE

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Blessed Is She

Mary: “My little Carmelite, intensify your desire so that my Flame of Love will be put into action. Make even greater sacrifices.” It is with these very words that she spoke to me. She also repeated them on the feast of her Visitation. Mary: “Offer me greater sacrifices. Do not ask how, just improvise!” (July 30, 1962)

Today’s Readings: “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.” (Luke 1)

Prayer Meditation: Lord, we bless You, and thank You, and adore You because today is the feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Elizabeth. She brought You Lord Jesus to Elizabeth and to the child in her womb, John the Baptist, and She brings You Lord Jesus now to each one of us because we became Her Children at the foot of the Cross! Lord, I love to imagine at certain times in our family’s life that Mary has indeed moved in to help- times of illness, weddings, the birth of our grandchild during a hard week of work and now in my husband’s cancer treatment,  I have asked Her to come visit and She always comes bringing Your Peace and Joy! Lord may we let Her into our hearts and our homes, She who believed what was spoken to Her by You, so that we would live by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Let us imitate our Mother Mary in faith, hope, and charity letting Her form us so we can carry Her Flame of Love, You, Jesus Himself, to others!

I Want To See — May 29, 2024

I Want To See

I WANT TO SEE

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Eighth Week of Ordinary Time

I Want To See

“In spite of all my efforts, O Lord, I see no progress in myself.” Jesus: “Do not worry! Begin anew each day. Our Mother will help you, ask everything from her. She knows how to please Me.” (March 4-7, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to him in reply, “What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man replied to him, “Master, I want to see.”
Jesus told him, ‘Go your way; your faith has saved you.” (Mark 10)

Prayer Meditation: Lord, so many days we can feel like we are walking blindly in darkness. We see our days unfold little by little- only seeing what is in front of us. We can feel helpless as we cannot see the big picture and we see no progress in ourselves, in spite of all of our efforts to grow in holiness. And that is the problem, because it is our efforts, not Your Work that we are operating in. We read about Bartimaeus who, without fear, cries out –“Son of David, have pity on me” even as others tried to silence him. He was not afraid to answer Your direct question and tell You what he wanted from You. He wanted to see! And You heard him and healed him and told him that his faith has saved Him! Lord Jesus, help us to come boldly to You and be like Bartimaeus. Let us begin anew each day and let us ask especially through the intercession of Our Blessed Mother for what we need when we our faith  and our courage seems so small.

The Word Of The Lord Remains Forever — May 28, 2024

The Word Of The Lord Remains Forever

THE WORD OF THE LORD REMAINS FOREVER

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the Eighth Week of Ordinary Time

The Word Of The Lord Remains Forever

Jesus: “And the Word became Flesh. Penetrate and live in this sublime mystery, which signifies the Redemption of the world.” (Jesus) (October 15, 1962)

Today’s Readings: “All flesh is like grass,
and all its glory like the flower of the field;
the grass withers,
and the flower wilts;
but the word of the Lord remains forever.”
This is the word that has been proclaimed to you. (1 Peter 1)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we love You, we bless You and we adore You because we could meditate forever on You, the Word Became Flesh. All else fades but not Your Word which remains forever. Heaven and Earth will pass away but not Your Word (Matthew 24:35). Not now and not ever! But Lord are we really living in and remaining in Your Word? Are we scrolling social media or praying Your Word out loud when we awake? So easy to do with so many apps these days that have the Daily Readings and the Liturgy of the Hours, just five minutes of the right kind of scrolling can put us in the right mindset, which is Your Mind, all day! Do we go to Mass and participate in the Table of Your Word and the Table of the Eucharist, which is You, The Word ready to strengthen us and heal us! Do we at least pop in for Adoration and  hang on Your Word like Mary of Bethany? Do we repeat Your Word, the Sword of the Spirit (Ephesians 6) out loud not only in spiritual warfare but in praise and worship throughout the day. If we don’t know Bible verses do we just whisper and repeat Your Name in all circumstances? So many ways we can penetrate and live in Your Word, let us not just count them but let us multiply them as prayer without ceasing not just for ourselves but all of our brothers and sisters.  Let Your blessings fall like celestial dew on this world that You have redeemed and that You are even now sanctifying so that Your Kingdom will reign here on Earth as it is in Heaven!

We Have Given Up Everything? — May 27, 2024

We Have Given Up Everything?

WE HAVE GIVEN UP EVERYTHING?

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Eighth Week of Ordinary Time

We Have Given Up Everything?

Jesus: “Renounce yourself completely.” So that nothing would tie me to this world, I gave away everything to my children. Later on, I felt that I had done the right thing. Now, I had nowhere to rest my head peacefully. Our Lord kept urging me. Jesus: “Renounce yourself.” (Jesus/Elizabeth/1961-1962)

Today’s Readings: Peter began to say to Jesus,
“We have given up everything and followed you.” (Mark 10)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord this Gospel follows what happened with the Rich Young Man (Mark 10:17-27). The one who had followed Your Commandments from his youth but could not give his heart. Because our heart is where our treasure is (Matthew 6:21). Peter tells You he gave up everything to follow You. He also had not quite given it all because he ran away when it all became real. Not to throw St. Peter or the Rich Young man under the bus because on any given day can we say we have renounced ourselves completely so that nothing ties us to this world? What little string still ties us to Earth and keeps us from being all in? That keeps our walk from matching our talk? And are we even capable of any of this anyway? Lord You assured us yesterday that all things are possible for You. And today You tell us that for what we have given, You will give us a hundred times more but in Your Will and Your Time and not ours. O Jesus help us to truly surrender and give You our all reducing ourselves to our nothingness that You would fill us with what really matters- all of You!

Monday of the Eighth Week of Ordinary Time

Loving Him Who We Do Not See Except With Our Hearts

As I was kneeling silently before the Lord, a great brightness shone before my spiritual eyes, but I could not see it clearly. (Elizabeth) (May 2, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Although you have not seen him you love him; even though you do not see him now yet you believe in him, you rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, as you attain the goal of faith, the salvation of your souls. (1 Peter 1)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, now we see You as only through a glass darkly, not yet face to face (1 Corinthians 13). Yet, we love You and believe in You because we see You with the eyes of our hearts! Lord, help us to strive to see You with our spiritual eyes and hear what You are whispering into our souls each day!

No Longer Slaves — May 25, 2024

No Longer Slaves

NO LONGER SLAVES

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

No Longer Slaves

The Solemnity Of The Most- High Trinity

Jesus: “You, little spark, no matter how small you are, were created by Me and from Me. Draw close to Me without fear. I give you My brilliance, and by enlightening one another, you will no longer notice the lackluster of your soul. Even great saints were My small sparks. I made each one great to the degree that they tried to come close to Me. Those souls which used great effort received the brightness of My light. For Me, time does not exist. Some souls can run a long race in a short time, and I call them quickly to Myself. Others start late. Nevertheless, they make more progress than those who walk slowly and cautiously. Do you remember what I told you one time? ‘You fly like an arrow toward Heaven, but do not turn to look toward the earth lest the clamor of the world makes you dizzy.’ (Jesus)  (August 21, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Brothers and sisters:
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear,
but you received a Spirit of adoption,
through whom we cry, “Abba, Father!”
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit
that we are children of God,
and if children, then heirs,
heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ,
if only we suffer with him
so that we may also be glorified with him. (Romans 8)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we praise You, we bless You and we adore You- Most Holy Trinity! You have created all of us for a purpose and You have an amazing plan for all of us (Jeremiah 29)- a plan with a future full of hope! You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self- control! (2 Timothy 1). So let us draw close to You without fear as little sparks that You will set ablaze for Your Glory- no longer slaves but as Your dearly beloved children! We are joint heirs with You Lord and as we suffer in this world, we unite ourselves to Your Cross for the salvation of souls knowing that we will be glorified with You for all Eternity!

Let The Children Come

LET THE CHILDREN COME

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Saturday of the Seventh Week of Ordinary Time

Let The Children Come

Let your soul be filled with prayers of sacrifice, even on your days of rest. Offer these days especially for the young. Even when my Most Holy Son was tired, He wanted the children to come to Him. That is why you also must never be tired. You know, it is Him who asked you to continually share in His work of Redemption.” (May 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: People were bringing children to Jesus that he might touch them,
but the disciples rebuked them.
When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them,
“Let the children come to me; do not prevent them,
for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Amen, I say to you,
whoever does not accept the Kingdom of God like a child
will not enter it.”
Then he embraced the children and blessed them,
placing his hands on them. (Mark 10)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we bless You, praise You and glorify You because You never ever turn children down- You always want the children to come to You! So different from the world that does not seem to value children and families anymore. You want all of us to come to You as little children- with trust and surrender, because if we do not we will not be able to enter the Kingdom. We are nothing and You are all and You are Our Father who loves His children and we are all of His children! And You want us in these times to bring to You in prayer and sacrifice all of our children and young people so that they would know You, love You and serve You and life with You forever!
