Lifted Up

Lifted Up

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Fifth Week of Lent

Lifted Up

At that same instant, He lifted up my soul from the earth while the sound of His words kept ringing in me. He added: Jesus: “It is only the soul purified of its sins that I raise to Me in this way.” (Elizabeth/Jesus) (January 13, 1966)

Today’s Readings: So, Jesus said to them,
“When you lift up the Son of Man,
then you will realize that I AM,
and that I do nothing on my own,
but I say only what the Father taught me.
The one who sent me is with me.
He has not left me alone,
because I always do what is pleasing to him.” (John 8)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, like the first reading today in Numbers, we feel that we are perishing from the snakes that bite us. Even if  we are not in physical danger, we all will perish in our sins without repentance. Lord, You are high and lifted up- the Son of Man high on the Cross that takes away the sins of the world. Help us Lord Jesus to keep our eyes above the storm around us and on You, clearly fixed on You, and lead us to everlasting life!

Sin No More —

Sin No More

Sin No More

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Monday of the Fifth Week of Lent

Sin No More

Then, as I raise you, the sin falls away instantly and you become lighter again. Gratitude is all I want in return. Tell Me just one word: Thanks.’ (Jesus) (August 7, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Then Jesus said, “Neither do I condemn you.
Go, and from now on do not sin anymore.” (John 8)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we, like the woman caught in serious sin and those who accused her, are all sinners. None of us could pass the test of being without sin. How easily we condemn others. Lord, You have raised all of us out of sin and death- do we reflect on this and do we thank You? Do we do our part and strive to stay not only out of serious sins but even venial sins, those little foxes that spoil the vine (Luke 13:32). Lord, we are all weak and full of faults but help us to sin no more and when we fall to turn to You in humble trust.

The New Thing — April 5, 2025

The New Thing

The New Thing

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Fifth Sunday of Lent

The New Thing

Meanwhile, He filled me with a new and wonderful grace. I cannot describe the grace that poured over me while He said: “What I give you now is the grace of full abandonment to Me. All during your life, it will totally control your being, and from your soul, it will radiate to others.” (Elizabeth/Jesus) (December 15, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Remember not the events of the past, the things of long ago consider not; see, I am doing something new! Now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? (Isaiah 43)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we can get so stuck- stuck in patterns, stuck in bad habits and sins, and we think that nothing will ever change. We say, that is just who I am or it is just how it is. But Lord, You have not created us to be stuck in mediocrity, just ok is not ok! And that is really what Lent is, the purification needed in the desert not because of anything we are doing but because what You have done and are doing for us and in us! Lord, let us exclaim with Isaiah, see You are doing something new! Like Saint Paul we are forgetting what is behind and straining forward to what lies ahead. And it is all Grace, it is not our doing! Let us exclaim to Our Lord as we head toward Holy Week- Jesus I abandon myself to You- You take over! Lord empty us of ourselves so that You can do the new thing You want to accomplish in us through Your Holy Will which is Love and Mercy itself!

Torn To Pieces — April 4, 2025

Torn To Pieces

Torn to Pieces

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Saturday of the Fourth Week of Lent

Torn to Pieces

I have never used this word until now, but I must write that the torture of these sufferings ripped open my heart. (Elizabeth) (June 5, 1965)

Today’s Readings: O LORD, my God, in you I take refuge; save me from all my pursuers and rescue me, Lest I become like the lion’s prey, to be torn to pieces, with no one to rescue me. (Psalm 7)

Prayer Meditation- Lord sometimes we can feel so hemmed in- like there is no escape from our troubles and problems- we feel like the lion’s prey. Like Elizabeth, we can feel abandoned and as if our heart has been torn to pieces. I know many of us praying now are dealing with illness, family strife, death of loved ones, depression, and the stresses of daily life. It seems there is no rescue and that we are torn to pieces. But Lord, it is in You that we find our refuge. And we are comforted knowing that You experienced all of this and that the rejection of those You came to save tears at Your Heart! Lord help us pray the Psalms with Your Lips and Your Heart because it is only You who are our Refuge and in You, we renew our strength like eagles (Isaiah 40).

Close To The Brokenhearted — April 3, 2025

Close To The Brokenhearted

Close To The Brokenhearted

Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Friday of the Fourth Week of Lent

Close To The Brokenhearted

That is why I stay close to you now. I do not disturb your rest. I am here with you in silence. May our hearts beat to the same rhythm. (Jesus) (January 19, 1964)

Today’s Readings:

The LORD is close to the brokenhearted; and those who are crushed in spirit he saves. Many are the troubles of the just man, but out of them all the LORD delivers him. (Psalm 34)

Prayer Meditation- O my Jesus, I know that You know every sorrow of our broken hearts- You stay close to us in silence. You have walked this suffering and you never leave us or forsake us. Lord You are as close as our next breath, even closer, please breathe in our breathing, may Your Heart beat with ours as You accompany us and deliver us in whatever troubles we may be going through.

Seeking Only God — April 2, 2025

Seeking Only God

Seeking Only God

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Fourth Week of Lent

Seeking Only God

“O God, what have You done with me? Why do I no longer value earth? My eyes see nothing. My ears do not perceive the world’s voice. My heart beats only in You and for You. My lips desire only to praise You. I want to bless You but I cannot find words worthy of You. (Elizabeth) (April 8, 1962)

Today’s Readings: “I do not accept human praise;
moreover, I know that you do not have the love of God in you.
I came in the name of my Father,
but you do not accept me;
yet if another comes in his own name,
you will accept him.
How can you believe, when you accept praise from one another
and do not seek the praise that comes from the only God? (John 5)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, how many of us have been not seeking Your Praise but the praise of others. We have cared more about human respect than what You think of us in so many ways, even those who as the Gospel says, search the Scriptures but somehow miss You! Lord, let us hear Your Voice so that we would know what is pleasing to You! Let us see nothing but You!

He Never Forgets Us — April 1, 2025

He Never Forgets Us

He Never Forgets Us

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the Fourth Week of Lent

He Never Forgets Us

“Cannot I work a miracle?” He replied. “I will so bless this impossible problem that it will be straightened out. I cannot deny my Mother anything when she uses her Flame of Love.” (Jesus) (August 3, 1962)

Today’s Readings: For the LORD comforts his people and shows mercy to his afflicted. But Zion said, “The LORD has forsaken me; my Lord has forgotten me.” Can a mother forget her infant, be without tenderness for the child of her womb? Even should she forget, I will never forget you. (Isaiah 49)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord where would we be without Your Mercy and Your Compassion. You comfort us in all afflictions. We can feel forsaken but You will never forget us! And You have given us Our Beautiful Mother who pleads for us constantly- Mother pour out The Flame of Love into our broken hearts today!

Do You Want To Be Well? —

Do You Want To Be Well?

Do You Want To Be Well?

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Fourth Week of Lent

Do You Want To Be Well?

“Because your soul has been purified of the anguish of doubts, you now have been given the power to rise to the heavenly Father and be immersed in the delightful and joyful contemplation of the Holy Trinity. (Jesus) (October 22-23, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to him, “Rise, take up your mat, and walk.”
Immediately the man became well, took up his mat, and walked. (John 5)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we read about a man who was ill for a long time. He was defeated, could not even get himself to the cure. And You asked him, as You ask us now. do we want to be well? That seems like an absurd question – of course we want to be well. And yet, after the man is cured, You tell him something else that is interesting. You tell him that he is now well and not to sin anymore. May we use this time, as we progress toward Holy Week, as a time of purification from our attachments, some of which we never knew were so strong, and let us abandon ourselves to Your Mercy and Your Never Failing Love!
