May Our Feet Journey Together- A Daily Devotional inspired by the Spiritual Classic He and I

““Wherever you are, you are in Me. You are all Mine. Nothing but sin could ever separate us. You can’t possibly escape My love! It is all-encompassing. Serve it. Wait upon Me. How often I have served you in the outpouring of My tenderness! What have I not done for you, My dear little child? If you suffer, suffer with Me. All these discomforts caused by the weather—I bore them all, like you, on the open roads. Always be one with Me in everything that happens to you. How I love this attitude—being ready to merge. Isn’t that love itself? A longing for at-onement? “I garner up your faith, rewarding it with grace. And if you give yourself to grace, I respond by giving you a greater grace. And so, step by step you will soon rise to heights you never suspected. For there is no end to My gifts and it is My joy to commune with you unceasingly.”” (He and I, Gabrielle Bossis, 8/26)

Scripture Meditation- 38 For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39 nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

and if children, then heirs, heirs of God and fellow heirs with Christ, provided we suffer with him in order that we may also be glorified with him.18 I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. (Romans 8:17-18)

17 But he who is united to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. (1 Corinthians 6:17)

Prayer Reflection- My Jesus how thankful I am that nothing can every separate us and we cannot escape Your Love! Let us always be ready to be in union with You, even in our sufferings which You bore for us not only in the Passion but in all the small things of life. May our feet journey together!

Memorial of Saint Monica

God Has Visited His People

“It is to the warm solidarity of the family sanctuary that souls come back to, after having strayed far. It is there that they come to find themselves and they once more return to God.. Do not think that once a child has become an adult, he no longer needs his parents. (Jesus) (January 17, 1964)

Today’s Readings: A large crowd from the city was with her. When the Lord saw her, he was moved with pity for her and said to her, “Do not weep.” (Luke 7) (Gospel for the Memorial)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today in this beautiful Gospel, and in Your words to Elizabeth Kindelmann and to us, You remind us mothers that we have a huge responsibility to bring our families to You. We can think so many of our circumstances are too far gone- that our prayers are bouncing off the chapel walls and our little prayer corners at home where we indeed weep. Yet Lord, nothing is impossible for You and Your plan for us and our children is so much bigger than we can ask or think. You have a plan for them which is a future full of hope (Jeremiah 29:11)  O  Lord, visit Your people, visit our families and heal them and call our children back to Your Loving Care! Through the intercession of Saint Monica and Our Blessed Mother we bring You our families!

Judged Worthy

Hail Mary, my sweet Mother, I humbly implore you, keep me under your special protection. I am your unfaithful Carmelite daughter. I know I am not worthy of that title, even if I were to labor for centuries. to gain it. Come, Mother, and lead me to your Divine Son. (Elizabeth) (1961-1962)

Today’s Readings: But as we were judged worthy by God to be entrusted with the Gospel,
that is how we speak,
not as trying to please men,
but rather God, who judges our hearts. (1 Thessalonians 2:1-8)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we love You and praise You and adore You because St. Paul speaks of being judged worthy by You. How many of us like Elizabeth feel so very unworthy! And sometimes that feeling of unworthiness can keep us stuck afraid to leave our little boats and meet You on the water! It is when we keep our eyes on ourselves and not on You that we sink below the waves needing Your Steady Hand to lift us up! Because the fact is You have indeed entrusted us with the Gospel and You judge not our performance but our hearts in all that we do united to You! So let us ask Our Lady for Her protection and ask her to lead us to You in our nothingness knowing only You are worthy and we can do all things though You who strengthen us! (Philippians 4:13).

Spirit of Power

The Lord Jesus asked if I understood.

With His enlightened words, He poured out the wonderful grace of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Power, and the wonderful light of the Holy Spirit enlightened my soul. (Elizabeth) (March 24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: For our Gospel did not come to you in word alone, but also in power and in the Holy Spirit and with much conviction. (1 Thessalonians 1)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we can hear Your Word over and over again but if the Holy Spirit is not in what we are hearing, they can be just words to us. We know from our own lives- all the times we have heard the Gospel over and over again and it becomes so familiar that it just bounces off. And then in one moment The Holy Spirit opens our hearts to what You are saying and indeed Your Word pours over us with power and convicts us. Sometimes it is when we are seeking, sometimes it is just out of the blue, and a lot of times it is when we are desperate and we just have nowhere else to go and we are finally ready to listen. Lord, please help us to be docile to the promptings of the Holy Spirit so that Your Living Word speaks to us daily!

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary

It Starts with a Yes and Ends with a Crown

Yes, my little one, we will put out fire
with fire: the fire of hatred with the fire of love. (Mary) (December 6, 1964 )

Today’s Readings: Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord.
May it be done to me according to your word.” (Luke 1)

Prayer Meditation- Today we celebrate the Queenship of Mary, Our Mother. Lord, She gave Her Yes, not knowing what would lie ahead but in humble trust and faith! As the first disciple She gained the Crown and lives in Heaven with You, interceding for us, more Mother than Queen (St. Therese). Today, if we have the opportunity, let us pray all four mysteries with Mary, from Her Yes to Her Crown, and let us follow Her and imitate Her virtues as we meditate on Your Incarnation Lord knowing that we will live forever with You in following this sure path!

Memorial of Saint Pius X

Many Are Invited But Few Are Chosen

Jesus: “You know, do you not, that I invited you to My private war camp? Do not be attracted by the passing comfort of this world. The coming of My Kingdom must be your only purpose in life. My words will reach a multitude of souls consecrated to Me. Trust! My grace will be with you and I will help all of you in a miraculous way.” (Jesus) (August 8, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Then the king said to his servants, ‘The feast is ready,
but those who were invited were not worthy to come.
Go out, therefore, into the main roads
and invite to the feast whomever you find.’
The servants went out into the streets
and gathered all they found, bad and good alike,
and the hall was filled with guests.
But when the king came in to meet the guests
he saw a man there not dressed in a wedding garment.
He said to him, ‘My friend, how is it
that you came in here without a wedding garment?’
But he was reduced to silence.
Then the king said to his attendants, ‘Bind his hands and feet,
and cast him into the darkness outside,
where there will be wailing and grinding of teeth.’
Many are invited, but few are chosen.” (Matthew 22)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, many are invited but few are chosen. Not because You do not want to choose them, You choose everyone, but because so few have readied themselves for what You are asking of us. We can be so poorly dressed- not dressed for the Kingdom but dressed for the passing comforts of this world. Our garments and our baggage drag us down. Lord, You have given us the perfect wedding garment- the garment of our baptism which we keep clean by the sacramental life including confession and frequent reception of the Eucharist, prayer, and living on the food of Your Word every day. You have invited us all to Your private war camp in these times- so let’s suit up and ready ourselves because we are the chosen little army You are gathering to reach a multitude of souls!

It’s Five O’ Clock Somewhere

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Bernard

It’s Five O’ Clock Somewhere

Jesus: “My little Carmelite, your continual sacrifices give witness to your continual fidelity to Me and to My work of Salvation. These make you walk on the path of martyrdom. Do not fear, our feet journey together, and even though you grieve, let us continue walking together. I am giving you abundant graces, My little one, because My Heart overflows with love and prompts Me to be lavish. I fill each of your efforts with graces that are a thousand times greater. Would that many souls loved Me as you do. What great joy I would experience if I could give to many souls the abundant graces which I give to you.” (Jesus) (October 2, 1962)

Today’s Readings:

Going out about five o’clock, he found others standing around, and said to them, ‘Why do you stand here idle all day?’ They answered, ‘Because no one has hired us.’ He said to them, ‘You too go into my vineyard.’ (Matthew 20)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord, You want no one to be lost- even the five o’clock laborers, the ones who are late to Your table. O Lord let us make our efforts to bring those five o’clock souls to You- who have we not invited? Let us not pick and choose who should come! And if like me Lord, we are the “late” ones who are paid the same let us be confidant in your abundant graces and may we love You for those who do not. May our continual sacrifices of praise, prayer, and thanksgiving bring souls to You!

It Is I Who Sent You — August 18, 2025

It Is I Who Sent You

It is I Who Send You

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Twentieth Week of Ordinary Time

It is I Who Send You

This is why I asked Him, “Am I capable of doing this?” Jesus responded, “You must only will it; leave the rest up to Me.” (Elizabeth/Jesus) (1961-1962)

Today’s Readings: The LORD turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you have and save Israel from the power of Midian. It is I who send you.” (Judges 6)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we read about Gideon who was greeted by the angel as a champion. Truth be told Gideon felt far from being a champion and yet that is the message You wanted to convey to him. Because Lord, You do not call the qualified, You qualify the called. Lord when we feel that call, we can feel so helpless, we ask are we capable of this? And yet You ask of us only our nothingness because Your strength is made perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 8-12). It is You who fight our battles- let us only will what You will and leave the rest up to You!

The Heart of God

The Heart of God

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Monday of the Twentieth Week of Ordinary Time

The Heart of God

“I broke forth in tears. This increased my sorrow for sins. Who would not cry in the presence of such goodness and kindness? In the silence, He remained next to me and then left. “Rest in peace. I am going to look for hearts.” (Jesus/Elizabeth) (September 1, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Many times did he rescue them, but they embittered him with their counsels. Yet he had regard for their affliction when he heard their cry. (Psalm 106)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today in the Readings we see Your Heart. Because despite our falling away again and again and again You never give up on us. We go after all kinds of things instead of the One Thing that can fill that great big hole in our hearts! Yet when we cry in our affliction, You hear us and You always give us a way out and a way forward. You do not turn Your back ever on those who turn back to You. I like to think the Rich Young Man in today’s Gospel who could not let go of the one thing that kept him enslaved remembered that day that You looked on him with love not with regret at the end of his life but with thanksgiving because that was the day he knew he had to give you everything and he eventually responded generously to Your call on his life. Lord let that be the choice we make as we let go of the one thing that keeps us from You!

He Is A Consuming Fire — August 16, 2025

He Is A Consuming Fire

He Is A Consuming Fire

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Twentieth Sunday in Ordinary Time

He Is A Consuming Fire

While saying this, Jesus quenched in my heart the thirst for souls and He poured the fire of His burning charity over me in the greatest measure. (Elizabeth) (July 20, 1965)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to his disciples: “I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing! (Luke 12)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You are a Consuming Fire, the Flame of Love! You have come to set the world on fire- the fire of the Holy Spirit. The fire that burns away and purifies all that is not of You! We can do this narrow road the hard way or the easy way- the easy way is to surrender to You so that You can change us from glory to glory! (2 Corinthians 3:18). Lord, we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses as the Second Reading from Hebrews 12 tells us so let us run our race and put aside all that is in the way of Your Grace. Further in that chapter is the theme of these daily meditations- therefore we who are receiving the unshakable Kingdom should have gratitude with which we should offer worship pleasing to God in reverence and awe. For Our God is a consuming fire! Gratitude and surrender Lord, burn the rest of our baggage away!
