“September 5—“ If distractions come through no fault of yours, I give you the same grace as if you had been quite attentive.”” — He and I by Gabrielle Bossis
8 Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is gracious, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things. (Philippians 4:8)
25 Let your eyes look directly forward,
and your gaze be straight before you.
26 Take heed to the path of your feet,
then all your ways will be sure.
27 Do not swerve to the right or to the left;
turn your foot away from evil. (Proverbs 4:25-27)
41 But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things; 42 one thing is needful. Mary has chosen the good portion, which shall not be taken away from her.” (Luke 10:41-42)
Prayer Reflection- O Lord we can become so easily distracted. Sometimes it is our own fault- our own worry, anxiety, and fear but a lot of times it is through no fault of our own. Lord how well You know us! How reassuring it is that You give us the same grace in prayer in distractions as if we were attentive! May we always think about whatever is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, gracious and excellent!
