Awake-Put On Christ This Advent

Awake- Put On Christ This Advent

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

First Sunday of Advent

Awake- Put On Christ This Advent

“Many souls are asleep like yours was. I also want to give to them the life-giving rays of my maternal heart, the effect of the grace of my Flame of Love.” (Mary) (May 19, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Brothers and sisters:
You know the time;
it is the hour now for you to awake from sleep.
For our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed;
the night is advanced, the day is at hand. (Romans 13)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today, this First Day of Advent, we turn our attention not to Your First Coming but to Your Second. So many of us get all caught up in the end of the world- either anxiously trying to read the signs or thinking it is some far distant event. But neither posture is what You want from us because no matter when the End is, our end will come sooner than we may think. And how many of us are just sleep walking through life- caught up in our own sins, faults, failures, hang-ups, and weaknesses or just busying ourselves to the point where we are numb to Your Voice and Your Call. Advent is the time to wake up! Let us examine ourselves and make ourselves ready to meet You- purified of all that does not belong to You. The sure way to do this is total surrender to Your Divine Providence- most of us don’t have to make up some new mortifications because life itself is mortification if offered with loving acceptance and trust to the God who yearns for us to walk in freedom for eternity. Mother Mary with Your Spouse the Holy Spirit, help us to put on Christ as Saint Paul asks us so that we would be armored in light, the light of the world!

Sadness or Euphoria —

Saturday of the Thirty Fourth Week of Ordinary Time

Sadness or Euphoria

While attending morning Holy Mass, a great anxiety took possession of my soul. An infuriating battle arose within: these arguments are nothing but counter-arguments invented by my lies with which I blind myself. (Elizabeth) (June 18, 1965)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to his disciples: “Beware that your hearts do not become drowsy from carousing and drunkenness and the anxieties of daily life, and that day catch you by surprise like a trap.(Luke 21)

Prayer Meditation- Lord it seems like life is just one big round of sadness or euphoria. We then try to self- medicate- it could be eating or drinking too much, social media, TV, you name it. And when we are not trying to run away from ourselves we are stuck in anxiety, fear, worry about the circumstances of our lives. We are trapped by our emotions and we blind ourselves with the lie that we have forever to work this all out. But Lord, You do not want us taken by surprise- You have come to set us free from the cycle of our bad habits and self- absorption- our stinking thinking not at some future point, but today! So let us respond while it is still “today” (Hebrews 3:13) to Your loving invitation to follow You completely. Let’s not let anything that would make our heart drowsy get in the way!

His Word Will Never Pass Away — November 28, 2025

His Word Will Never Pass Away

His Word Will Never Pass Away

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Friday of the Thirty Fourth Week of Ordinary Time

His Word Will Never Pass Away

And the Word became Flesh. Penetrate and live in this sublime mystery, which signifies the Redemption of the world.” Even though I meditated on these words, I am incapable of expressing them. (Jesus/Elizabeth) (October 15, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Heaven and earth will pass away,
but my words will not pass away.” (Luke 21)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, all things are passing. Only Your Word remains. You are the Word made Flesh- in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. (John 1). It is hard for us to wrap our heads around it but someday all that we will know will be gone or changed forever. We came from You and we are meant to return to You (exitus-reditus- St. Thomas Aquinas). Lord, let us today just meditate on the God who loves us so much that You became flesh just so that we would live with You forever. Let us walk with You now in trust and surrender knowing all will be well because our redemption is at hand (Luke 21).

Fashioned According To His Will — November 26, 2025

Fashioned According To His Will

Thanksgiving Day

Fashioned According to His Will

He told me to live a life pleasing to God and that His Will will become clear for me. With this advice, peace returned to my soul and I experienced a day of great joy. (Elizabeth) (January 18-19 1963)

Today’s Readings: And now, bless the God of all,
who has done wondrous things on earth;
Who fosters people’s growth from their mother’s womb,
and fashions them according to his will!
(Sirach 50)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we come to You with thanksgiving! With gratitude in our hearts, we thank You most of all for being a God who cares for us and fosters our growth from our mother’s womb and fashions us, if we cooperate, according to Your Will. To live a life pleasing to God with peace and joy we must first of all be grateful for all that You have given us. Let us count our blessings not only today but every day and surrender each day with gratitude to Your Holy Will which is Love and Mercy itself

When You Hear of Wars — November 24, 2025

When You Hear of Wars

When You Hear of Wars

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Thirty Fourth Week in Ordinary Time

When You Hear of Wars

Following the devastation of the war, I was able to survive with my children only by bartering our possessions. The closets were being emptied and almost all our belongings changed ownership. (Elizabeth) (Biography)

Today’s Readings: When you hear of wars and insurrections,
do not be terrified; for such things must happen first. (Luke 21)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we begin the readings in the Gospel that refer to the “end times” We all may like to speculate about all that but the truth is in our lives, we will have our own individual end time. We were made for eternity but we are still mortal in our earthly bodies. And we will go through trials and tribulations, “wars” if you will in this life. Lord, You assure us not to be terrified, to be not afraid when we hear bad news- to not give into anxiety and fear but to surrender in total trust to Your Loving Providence. Jesus we trust in You!

A Widow’s Mite

As a result, I concluded that my abject poverty made that project vanish altogether from my mind. Despite that, my desire to become a religious missionary was continually growing deep in my soul. There was no way I could suspect that God had other plans for me. (Elizabeth) (Biography)

Today’s Readings: He said, “I tell you truly,
this poor widow put in more than all the rest;
for those others have all made offerings from their surplus wealth,
but she, from her poverty, has offered her whole livelihood.” (Luke 21)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we read today about the poor widow who gave all that she had as compared to those who just give what they may have had left over. This can certainly apply to our material giving and need to tithe but this also applies to our spiritual giving. How many Catholics and Christians think going to Church on Sunday is all that they have to do? How many these days think even that is too much?  Lord, create in us generous hearts that we would want to offer all that we are- to give You our hearts and not just our leftover time. Even us busy people can live totally for You if we keep our minds and hearts lifted to You and offer each moment of our day for Your Glory and to save souls!

Sing and Rejoice O Daughter Zion — November 21, 2025

Sing and Rejoice O Daughter Zion

Sing and Rejoice O Daughter Zion

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of the Presentation of Mary

Sing and Rejoice O Daughter Zion

Human words cannot express what I have prepared for all of you. I await your arrival with a rich gift. My Heart will rejoice at your arrival. (Jesus) (October 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Sing and rejoice, O daughter Zion!
See, I am coming to dwell among you, says the LORD.
Many nations shall join themselves to the LORD on that day,
and they shall be his people,
and he will dwell among you,
and you shall know that the LORD of hosts has sent me to you. (Zechariah 2)

Prayer Meditation- Today we celebrate the presentation of Our Lady in the Temple! Our Lady by tradition lived in the Temple from the age of three years old and she entered the Temple with joy united to Your Holy and Divine Will! Our Lady can indeed sing and rejoice because with Her prayers in the Temple she yearned and longed for the coming Messiah, having no idea She would be the Mother of God! And with Our Blessed Mother we can long and pray for the coming of Your Kingdom through the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Let us present ourselves today to You in prayer and thanksgiving because human words cannot express what You have prepared for those who love You! (1 Corinthians 2:9).

If You Only Knew What Makes For Peace- Recognizing The Time Of Our Visitation — November 19, 2025

If You Only Knew What Makes For Peace- Recognizing The Time Of Our Visitation

If You Only Knew What Makes For Peace- Recognizing The Time Of Our Visitation

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

If You Only Knew What Makes For Peace- Recognizing The Time Of Our Visitation

During the Forty Hours Devotion, I went to the Máriaremete Sanctuary to prepare my soul for the nocturnal adoration. The crowd’s fervor had a wonderful effect on my soul. After an hour, my soul recovered its peace after the interior disturbances in the morning. I rejoiced to see a large crowd offering reparation and adoration. The Lord Jesus said: Jesus: “I have pity on the crowd.” (Elizabeth/Jesus) (June 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: As Jesus drew near Jerusalem,
he saw the city and wept over it, saying,
“If this day you only knew what makes for peace–
but now it is hidden from your eyes. (Luke 19)

Prayer Meditation- In the reading from the spiritual diary of Elizabeth Kindelmann, we read how it took some time for her to settle down at Adoration and recover her peace after an interior disturbance earlier in the day. We can all relate- how many interior and exterior disturbances do we all experience that disturb our peace? And we may think that allowing these disturbances is not even close to the rejection of Our Lord by His people who knew Him not (John1) but is it really that far apart? Because if we knew what makes for peace we would not allow these disturbances to enter our soul- Our Lord tells us, do not let our hearts be troubled in John 14 but to trust in Him! The key word is let, as in not letting ourselves be troubled, because no matter our circumstances You see us, have pity on us, and even weep over us and with us when we are weeping. So let us not allow disturbances to hide from the eyes of our hearts Your Presence in our lives even if we may not always feel it.

Taken Away —

Taken Away

Taken Away

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the Thirty Third Week in Ordinary Time

Taken Away

Time is short, little sister, and never returns. What you do not accept at a given moment will never again become available to you, because I think that you would not receive it willingly. (Jesus) (July 24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: And to those standing by he said,
‘Take the gold coin from him
and give it to the servant who has ten.’
But they said to him,
‘Sir, he has ten gold coins.’
He replied, ‘I tell you,
to everyone who has, more will be given,
but from the one who has not,
even what he has will be taken away. (Luke 19)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, this parable terrifies me not just a little bit. How many times do we bury Your Grace and Your Blessings which can come to us in many forms, even sufferings, instead of turning them into the pure gold that saves our souls and the souls of others. Lord, You have given us all sufficient grace for the seasons of life we are in. And You have given to each of us a task that is uniquely ours to accomplish- time is short and it never returns. Lord may we receive willingly what You are offering us in every moment be it joy or pain- let us not be the ones who do not have the faith to persevere, but let us be the ones receive every blessing You have to give us at every moment of our lives!

Jesus of Nazareth is Passing By — November 17, 2025

Jesus of Nazareth is Passing By

Jesus of Nazareth is Passing By

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Elizabeth of Hungary

Jesus of Nazareth is Passing By

“In spite of your great infidelity, I call to you with love. You no longer come with confidence. I redeemed you from eternal death. Now, you do not want to live with Me. You are content with the passing things of the earth.” (Jesus) (October 11, 1962)

Today’s Readings: They told him,
“Jesus of Nazareth is passing by.”
He shouted, “Jesus, Son of David, have pity on me!” (Luke 18)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, in today’s Gospel we read that You are passing by. In fact, You are always among us, You are indeed always “passing by”. Lord what is our response? Do we cry out. Lord Jesus, have mercy on me with bold and confident trust fully understanding our own helplessness? Or do we remain content with the passing things of this world? Yes, Jesus, have mercy on me a sinner- I want what You want for me today and every day!
