Glorious

Wednesday of the Tenth Week of Ordinary Time

One time, I asked Him to allow me to feel His glorious and majestic presence. He said: Jesus: “My little one, do not ask this for yourself. I give it to those for whom you have made a sacrifice or have offered prayers.”(Jesus) (1961-1962)

Today’s Readings: For if the ministry of condemnation was glorious,
the ministry of righteousness will abound much more in glory.
Indeed, what was endowed with glory
has come to have no glory in this respect
because of the glory that surpasses it.
For if what was going to fade was glorious,
how much more will what endures be glorious. (2 Corinthians 3)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we thank You, we praise You, and we glorify You because You are glorious! You were glorious in the old covenant and in Redemption. And how glorious it will be when Your Sanctification comes to full fruition when the Holy Spirit renews the face of the Earth as if by a New Pentecost (Pope St. John XX111)! Lord it is easy for us when we feel Your Glory and we feel Your sweet consolations in our souls. Yet You do not want us to ask for these warm fuzzies for ourselves but to pray for Your Glory to illumine the souls for whom we sacrifice and pray because we are not home yet. We all belong to each other. Oh Lord, show us Your Glory and help us to spread Your Flame of Love from heart to heart because the Kingdom is coming and You will have Your Bride spotless and blameless (2 Peter 3:14).

Memorial of Saint Anthony of Padua

Lighting The Lamps of Souls

This oil will fall on empty lamps and the Flame will be lit. It will even fall on souls that have no lamp (those without the light of true faith) and they will find the road to salvation.” (Mary) (May 30, 1965)

Today’s Readings:

You are the light of the world. A city set on a mountain cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and then put it under a bushel basket; it is set on a lampstand, where it gives light to all in the house. Just so, your light must shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your heavenly Father.” (Matthew 5)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord so many lamps are empty or flickering today- so many are without the light of faith! And yet we too, called to be light in the world, will so often hide our lamps under a bushel. We are called to be witnesses to Your Love in the world- we can’t always do it with words but we can with deeds and prayers- acts of mercy! To keep our lamps lit, we need You, otherwise, we can flicker our pretty quickly. Lord fill us with Your Light so we can be light for all families and for the world.  Lord light our lamps with the Flame of Love so it can spread like wildfire from soul to soul for Your Glory Lord!

Encouragement In Every Affliction — June 11, 2023

Encouragement In Every Affliction

6/12/23 Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Encouragement  In Every Affliction

Monday Of The Tenth Week of Ordinary Time

Jesus: “I did not say that to discourage you. I want to encourage you so that you do not seek relief by looking to the earth in your battles. Look only at Me. I want that, while snuggling yourself right against Me and surrendering to Me in your arduous struggles, you never stop looking only upwards.” (February 7, 1963)

Today’s Readings: For as Christ’s sufferings overflow to us,
so through Christ does our encouragement also overflow.
If we are afflicted,
it is for your encouragement and salvation;
if we are encouraged,
it is for your encouragement,
which enables you to endure the same sufferings that we suffer.
Our hope for you is firm,
for we know that as you share in the sufferings,
you also share in the encouragement. (2 Corinthians 1)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, we thank You and bless You today because we know that our lives are full of sufferings and afflictions. And how often these sufferings drag us down to earth and we take our eyes off of You. It can be so hard to pray in those times, it can be so easy to be discouraged. And yet Lord, You tell us in today’s Gospel  (Matthew 5) that blessed are those who mourn for they will be comforted. Lord help us to look only at You and to snuggle against Your most Sacred Heart surrendering all of our cares because You care for us (1 Peter 5:7). And let us take that encouragement from our time spent in prayer and in meditation on Your Word and at Mass and offer it to others who are suffering so that they too can share in the peace that surpasses all understanding (Philippians 4:7). The peace that only comes from You!

Fed With Manna — June 10, 2023

Fed With Manna

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Solemnity of the Body and Blood of Christ

Fed With Manna

The sweet Savior filled my soul with such an attraction for His

Sacred Body and Precious Blood that for weeks I could only meditate

on the Eucharist. It was His desire that He and I penetrate

deeply into these inexhaustibly profound words: “He who eats My

Body and drinks My Blood remains in Me and I in him.” I cannot describe what I experienced in my soul while I meditated. (Elizabeth) (Diary Page 56)

Today’s Readings: He therefore let you be afflicted with hunger,
and then fed you with manna,
a food unknown to you and your fathers,
in order to show you that not by bread alone does one live,
but by every word that comes forth from the mouth of the LORD. (Deuteronomy 8)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we praise You, we bless You and we adore You and we beg pardon for all that do not praise, bless, and adore You!! Because it  is on meditating on The Word, as Elizabeth did on today’s Gospel, John 6, that we prepare our hearts to receive You fully! Lord we are all afflicted with hunger, our hearts are restless until they rest in You (St. Augustine), but today we give You nothing but thanksgiving for not only the Holy Communions of today but for all that are to come and for all that we have received in our lives- every single one a total gift of Yourself to strengthen us for the abundant life You have meant for each one of us in You! Lord we are not worthy, but only say the Word and our souls will be healed!

There is Always A Test — June 9, 2023

There is Always A Test

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

There Is Always A Test

Saturday of the Ninth Week of Ordinary Time

To receive great graces, your soul must be prepared by greater sufferings. This is the only way to increase grace in your soul. Now, following your victory, I press you to my heart. When I speak to you, you will take up my Cause with greater fervor. This test was an opportunity to gain merits for others. (Mary) (May 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: “I will now tell you the whole truth;
I will conceal nothing at all from you.
I have already said to you,
‘A king’s secret it is prudent to keep,
but the works of God are to be made known with due honor.’
I can now tell you that when you, Tobit, and Sarah prayed,
it was I who presented and read the record of your prayer
before the Glory of the Lord;
and I did the same thing when you used to bury the dead.
When you did not hesitate to get up
and leave your dinner in order to go and bury the dead,
I was sent to put you to the test.
At the same time, however,
God commissioned me to heal you and your daughter-in-law Sarah.
I am Raphael, one of the seven angels
who enter and serve before the Glory of the Lord.” (Tobit 12)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we bless You, we praise You and we adore You because we see how in the first reading that Tobit was put to the test. And we all have tests- challenges in our lives that test our faith, and our hope, and our love. And You watch us to see what we will do in these tests that You allow in our lives. Will we stay in faith or will we give in to worry, fear, even discouragement. You told us something interesting through the Gospel of John- let not our hearts be troubled (John 14). Which means that it is we who allow the trouble to get into our hearts disturbing our peace. Sometimes we pass these tests and sometimes we fail miserably. But we also know that You are the God with healing in Your Hands, in fact Raphael the Archangel was commissioned to heal Tobit and Sarah in the midst of the test. Lord, help us to pass these tests and not only pass them but may they be used for Your Glory and the salvation of souls! And when we fail, we know that Your Mercy and Healing will flow into our repentant hearts- strengthening us for the next test to come!

Grains of Dust

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Friday of the Ninth Week of Ordinary Time

Grains of Dust

O my Jesus, blessed be Your Holy Name by which I came to be

blessed. I, a lowly nothing! My Lord, my adored Jesus, it is also

Your infinite goodness that proclaims Your glory. How good You

are to keep my soul in constant humility!

My Lord, Your glory showed itself even more for having

praised me. I am annihilated. Like a grain of dust, I fall at Your feet.” (January 13, 1966)

Today’s Readings: The LORD gives sight to the blind.
The LORD raises up those who are bowed down;
    the LORD loves the just.
The LORD protects strangers. (Psalm 146)

Prayer Meditation- Lord ,we bless You, praise You and adore You because in the first reading of today, we read not only a happy ending for Tobit and Sarah with sight restored and marriage but we see Your faithfulness. We see how You give sight to the blind, raise up those who are bowed down, and protect the stranger and all of us are strangers in this world because You are our true home! We are lowly nothings, grains of dust, and yet You see us, You hear us, and You restore us in due time. Lord may we always trust Your perfect timing. If what are  praying for is delayed let us wait with trust because You are never late (Habakkuk 2:3). Jesus, we trust in You!

Not Far From The Kingdom — June 7, 2023

Not Far From The Kingdom

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Ninth Week of Ordinary Time

Not Far From The Kingdom

Jesus: “Take part unceasingly in My work of Redemption. Do

not ask how. Fervently desire the coming of My Kingdom for yourself

and for all the souls. When you rest at night, examine your day.

What have you done for My Kingdom to arrive?” (April 20, 1962)

Today’s Readings: You are right in saying,
He is One and there is no other than he.
And to love him with all your heart,
    with all your understanding,
    with all your strength,

and to love your neighbor as yourself
is worth more than all burnt offerings and sacrifices.”
And when Jesus saw that he answered with understanding,
he said to him, “You are not far from the Kingdom of God.” (Mark 12)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we bless You, adore You and thank You because You have asked us to desire Your Kingdom so that Your Kingdom would reign in our hearts on earth as it is in Heaven. And as You see us progress in our understanding of who we are and our nothingness and who You are through study of the Word, the Sacraments, and in prayer and study, we open ourselves to Your all- consuming Love. You sweetly whisper to us that we indeed are not far from the Kingdom of God. Lord, You ask us to take part unceasingly in Your Work of Redemption through prayer and sacrifice and to desire fervently the Kingdom for ourselves and for all souls. What a graced time we are indeed living in- so let us not keep our eyes on the passing things of this world (1 John 2:17) because whoever does the Will of God lives forever! Maranatha, come Lord Jesus into all hearts through the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

Their Prayers Were Heard

Their Prayers Were Heard

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the Ninth Week of Ordinary Time

Their Prayers Were Heard

When I returned home, I couldn’t recall how I came across the little Psalter of the Blessed Virgin Mary. I opened it and began to pray. In the past, these prayers always rose from my heart towards God, now it seemed to be an empty whisper. I reached for my old book of meditation, but my efforts were in vain… A dark, frigid and mute silence surrounded me from all sides. I burst into tears: “God no longer wants to have anything to do with me.” (Elizabeth 1961-1962)

Today’s Readings: At that very time,
the prayer of these two suppliants
was heard in the glorious presence of Almighty God.
So Raphael was sent to heal them both:
to remove the cataracts from Tobit’s eyes,
so that he might again see God’s sunlight;
and to marry Raguel’s daughter Sarah to Tobit’s son Tobiah,
and then drive the wicked demon Asmodeus from her. (Tobit 3)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we see today two hurting people in the first reading of the Mass. Tobit, blinded in the course of doing good and Sarah, tormented by a demon when all she wants is a husband and a family. Lord today we also see hurting people all around us- even in our own families and in certain seasons they may be us. Like Tobit, we are doing all the right things but the wrong things keep happening. We try to pray, but it can feel dry and useless. But Lord, this is not where this ends, even if the valley seems very deep right now with an uphill climb that seems unsurmountable. Because You are a God who hears our prayers and You already have dispensed your angels with Your orders and Your healing. We are never alone because as we read in today’s Gospel, You are the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, the God of the living! And we are alive in You! So let us keep coming to You, even when we have no idea where You are, trusting that You are working all things for our good (Romans 8:28) and that You are the God who listens and the God who acts in Your perfect timing and Your Perfect Will!

Do Not Fear The Evil Report

Jesus: “Have no fear, My little Carmelite. My Sacred Heart will be your permanent refuge. Don’t you feel it is so, and consequently, feel instantly relaxed? The compassion of love is forever enduring among those who love one another. (Jesus) (May 2, 1962)

Today’s Readings: An evil report he shall not fear;
his heart is firm, trusting in the LORD.
His heart is steadfast; he shall not fear
till he looks down upon his foes. (Psalm 112)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord it is so easy to believe the evil report and to fear! It is so easy to believe the worst and to fear the worst- to live in a constant state of anxiety. The news media counts on us doing just that. And we live on high alert and adrenaline so stressed out. This is not Your Will for us. You told us in Your Word not to be anxious about anything but with prayer, and here is the key, thanksgiving,  present our requests (Philippians 4:6-7). To keep our hearts firm trusting in You, making Your Sacred Heart our permanent refuge. Because if we do so, the peace that transcends all understanding will guard our hearts and minds in You! Your Love is forever enduring! So Lord let us praise You, worship You, and thank You always as we rest in Your Sacred Heart, never fearing any evil report but trusting firmly in You with a steadfast heart!

Time To Collect — June 4, 2023

Time To Collect

6/5/23 Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Boniface

Time To Collect

Jesus: “I always tell you not to worry that you can give Me only little things. I say again, always remain little. Do you know what we are going to do? You will give Me the little pieces of a mosaic which you collect throughout the day. I will arrange these pieces according to their color and shape. When all is finished, you will marvel to see the work of art that I created. But I cannot be an artist unless you gather the pieces. Without you, I cannot bring about My work of art.” (Jesus) (April 10, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Jesus began to speak to the chief priests, the scribes,
and the elders in parables.
“A man planted a vineyard, put a hedge around it,
dug a wine press, and built a tower.
Then he leased it to tenant farmers and left on a journey.
At the proper time he sent a servant to the tenants
to obtain from them some of the produce of the vineyard. (Mark 12)

Prayer Meditation- Lord we love You and bless You and adore You because You have given us everything we need to be all that You have meant for us to be! You have given us all the gifts and talents we need for the purpose You have intended only for us as we are all unique, yet made in Your likeness and image. And we should not worry because even if we can only do little things, if they are done with great love, You will collect the pieces and make of all we that we do a work of art in union with You! But sadly so many of us are not offering our gifts and talents (Matthew 25:14-20) but we are hiding them and wasting them or even acting in opposition to You because we do not appreciate what we have been given and we believe that all that we own and are is due to our own efforts. Filled with  self -love we do not acknowledge The God who loves us and Who has created us for Your Purpose and perfect plan for us! Lord You will come someday at the proper time which is the end of our lives and You will ask to collect the produce- the fruits of all that You have given us, and You will want to know what we have done with all of those gifts and talents. And what will we have to show for all that You have given us with so much love? May we come with the little pieces of the mosaic of our lives lived in love and in union with You and may we marvel Lord when we see the work of art You have made of our lives in Heaven!
