Believing Heavenly Things

“You guessed right. The strong sorrow that I send you is a longing for your heavenly home. Suffer for those who have no desire for their eternal homeland.” (Jesus)(April 20, 1962)

Today’s Readings: If I tell you about earthly things and you do not believe,
how will you believe if I tell you about heavenly things?
No one has gone up to heaven
except the one who has come down from heaven, the Son of Man.
And just as Moses lifted up the serpent in the desert,
so must the Son of Man be lifted up,
so that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life.” (John 3)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, Heaven can seem so far away. Few of us, when times are good really give much thought to Heaven, and the reality of living in union with You- the truth is we all want our Heaven here. Lord in these times of crisis, many of us may be seeking answers just like Nicodemus. It is during a crisis that we realize how tenuous earthly things really are. Yet there are so many who will struggle to find their eternal homeland as they are stuck in darkness and despair. They do not know that You are knocking at the door of their hearts (Revelations 3) Lord, we know that You have been lifted up to bring all to Yourself ,if we believe and repent, and give our lives to You. We who know this feel this longing more than ever and we can turn this time of sorrow into a time of offering for the salvation of souls and especially for the dying. Let us use this time of exile as a time of repentance, reparation and preparation because we are just pilgrims passing through to our eternal lives in You!

The Divine Will, acting in the soul, forms the image of the Three Divine Persons, and constitutes her Queen of everything

Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth.” ²⁷ So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them. ²⁸ And God blessed them, and God said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth and subdue it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the air and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”  (Genesis 1:26-29)

Volume 14-April 17, 1922

Continuing in my usual state, I found myself outside of myself, and I found my sweet Jesus, my Life, my All. From Him came out innumerable suns of light that surrounded Him. I flew into the midst of that light, and throwing myself into His arms, I clasped Him very tightly, telling Him: ‘Finally I found You – now I will not leave You any more. You make me wait so long, and I remain without life, without You. But without life I cannot be, therefore now I will not leave You any more.’ And I squeezed Him more tightly for fear that He might escape; and Jesus, as though enjoying my squeezes, told
me: “My daughter, do not fear, I will not leave you either. If you cannot be without Me, neither can I be without you; and to make you certain that I do not leave you, I want to chain you with my same light.”
I remained so immersed and interwoven within the light of Jesus, that it seemed to me that I would no longer find the way to get out. How happy I felt, and how many things I comprehended in that light. I lack the words to express myself. I just remember that He said to me: “Daughter of my Will, this light that you see is nothing other than my Will, which wants to consume your will in order to give you the shape of Our image – that is, of the Three Divine Persons; in such a way that, transforming you completely into Ourselves, We will leave in you Our Volition as divine actor that matches Us in whatever We do. So, Our images will come out from Us, and Our Will, acting in you, will assume as many of them. Oh! how the purpose of Creation will be fulfilled. The echo of Our Will will be the echo of Our Will possessed by you; the exchanges will be mutual, love will be reciprocal; we will be in full harmony, the creature will disappear within her Creator, and then nothing else will be lacking to Our joy, to Our happiness, for which We issued the Creation. The ‘Let Us make man in Our image and likeness’ will have its effect; and Our Will alone, as actor in the creature, will give completion to everything, and Creation will bring Us the divine purpose, and We will receive It into Our womb as Our work, just as We issued It. And besides, if you cannot be without Me, it is the echo of my love that resounds in your heart, such that, unable to be without you, it reverberates in you; and you, shaken, seek the One who so much loves you. And I, seeing Myself sought for, feel the echo of your love in mine, and I feel drawn to send you a new current of love, so that you may seek Me more.”

Monday of the Second Week of Easter

Born of The Spirit- Water and Spirit

Jesus: “Your soul is like a spring from which the purest water gushes, a water that not only refreshes but also purifies. It refreshes Me, and through your desires, purifies the sinful souls. I am grateful to you, Elizabeth, because you quench My thirst for souls.” (Jesus) (August 19, 1964)

Today’s Readings: “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless one is born of water and Spirit he cannot enter the Kingdom of God. What is born of flesh is flesh and what is born of spirit is spirit. Do not be amazed that I told you, ‘You must be born from above.’ (John 3)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we walk with You and Nicodemus. Like Nicodemus it can be impossible to fathom Your Mercy and Grace with our own flesh and reasoning. O Lord, we who are baptized have been born again of the Water and Spirit! Lord we have this living water in us because of Your Spirit that lives within us. How many of us are even aware of Your Power that lives within us- the same Power that rose Jesus from the grave! (Romans 8:11). Lord help us each day to renew our baptismal promises and make our souls true springs from which the purest water flows!

Every Act Done In The Divine Will Multiplies The Sacramental Life Of Jesus

When I had received Jesus in Holy Communion, my heart cried out with all its might, “Jesus, transform me into another host! I want to be a living host for You. You are a great and all-powerful Lord; You can grant me this favor.” And the Lord answered me, You are a living host, pleasing to the Heavenly Father. But reflect: What is a host? A sacrifice. And so…? Oh my Jesus, I understand the meaning of “host”, the meaning of sacrifice. I desire to be before Your Majesty a living host; that is, a living sacrifice that daily burns in Your honor. (Divine Mercy In My Souls, 1826)

Volume 14-March 24, 1922

My daughter, when the soul does its acts in my Will it multiplies my Life. If it does ten acts in my Will, it multiplies Me ten times; and if it does twenty, one hundred, one thousand, or even more acts in my Will, so many times does it multiply Me. It is similar to the sacramental consecration. I am multiplied into as many hosts as are consecrated. But in the case of the consecration I need the hosts to be able to multiply Myself, and I need a priest to consecrate them. Whereas in my Will I need the acts of creatures which are living hosts, not dead like the hosts before their consecration, so that my Will may consecrate and enclose Me in these acts. Thus am I multiplied in each act of a soul when it is done in my Will. Because of this my Love finds its complete release and satisfaction in souls that do my Will and live within my Volition. It is they who constantly provide the basis not just for the acts that all creatures owe Me, but also for my Sacramental Life itself. How many times does my Sacramental Life remain enclosed and shackled within a few consecrated hosts. Few are those who receive communion and often there are no priests to consecrate Me. My Sacramental Life not only fails to be multiplied as it desires, but often ceases to exist. Oh, how my Love suffers! I would like to multiply my Life every day into as many hosts as there are creatures, so that I could give Myself to them. Yet I wait in vain; my Will remains impotent. But what I have decided, shall be. That is why I am taking a different path and multiply Myself, alive, in each act done by creatures in my Will. I want these acts to bring about the multiplication of my Sacramental Life. Oh yes, only those souls who live in my Will provide all the communions creatures fail to receive, and make up for all the consecrations priests have failed to make! In them I will find everything, even the multiplication of my Sacramental Life. I repeat, your mission is very great. I could not have picked you for a higher, more noble, more sublime, more divine mission. There is nothing that I will not concentrate in you, even to the multiplication of my Life. I will perform new prodigies of Grace never performed before. Therefore, be attentive and faithful to Me. Make sure that my Will always finds life in you. Then in my own Will living in you, I will find the work of Creation whole and complete, with all the rights that are due me and with everything I desire.”

Prayer Meditation- O Lord please multiply Yourself in us today and every day that we would be living hosts, a living sacrifice burning for Your Love and Your Most Holy and Divine Will! Fiat, Jesus we trust in You!

Divine Mercy Sunday

Who In His Great Mercy

Jesus: “I choose you, My little one, to be the bearer of My Divine

Mercy. Fill yourself with the abundance of My Divine Mercy

and when you open your mouth to speak, proclaim the mercy of

My Heart burning of desire for sinners. Let your whole life be a

burning desire to take part in My work of Redemption through

prayer, sacrifice and desire.” (Jesus) (May 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,
who in his great mercy gave us a new birth to a living hope
through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead,
to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading,
kept in heaven for you
who by the power of God are safeguarded through faith,
to a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the final time. (1 Peter 1:3)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, we bless You, we praise You and we adore You on this day of Amazing Grace, the feast of Divine Mercy. A day where all can begin again if we take advantage of the graces of this day and go to confession within the timeframe given to us by the Church and receive Holy Communion and venerate Your Divine Mercy in Your image and in our lives! The quote from Elizabeth Kindelmann is amazing because You told her what You told St. Faustina and what You have been telling us from all time because Divine Mercy is the heart of the Gospel! In Your Great Mercy Lord, You have indeed given us a new birth, a living home and a heavenly inheritance in these times which are so perilous but so at the same time filled with Your Grace! Because indeed as St. Peter continues to tell us in the Epistle Reading today, we will endure various trials so that we become fire tried gold ready for Your Kingdom! We have not seen You but we love You and in Your Divine Mercy Image we know that Jesus I trust in You are not just pretty words but our reality because from time immemorial it has never been heard of nor do Heaven or earth remember that a soul trusting in Your Mercy has been disappointed (Divine Mercy in my Soul, 1730).

The mission of the Divine Will is eternal, and it is precisely the mission of Our Celestial Father.

He who is greatest among you shall be your servant;  whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted. (Matthew 23:11-12)

Furthermore, of David it was said that he was an image of Me, so much so, that all of his psalms reveal my person; of Saint Francis of Assisi, that he was a faithful copy of Me. It is said in the Holy Gospel: ‘Be perfect as your Father in Heaven is perfect’ – no less; it is also added that no one will enter the Kingdom of Heaven if he is not similar to the image of the Son of God; and many other things. About all these, no one says that they have been exalted too much, and that these are things not conforming to truths spoken by my very mouth. Only because to you I said that I wanted to compare you to the Virgin – to make you Her faithful copy, I have exalted you too much? So, comparing those to Me was not exalting them, nor did anyone raise any doubt or difficulty; but then, comparing to the Virgin – that’s too much exaltation. This means that they have not understood well the mission of the knowledge of my Will. Indeed, I repeat to you that I not only place you near Her as Her little daughter, on Her maternal lap, that She may guide you, instruct you on how you must imitate Her, to become Her faithful copy by always doing the Divine Will; so that, from Her lap, you may pass onto the lap of the Divinity. In fact, the mission of my Will is eternal, and it is precisely the mission of Our Celestial Father, who wants, commands, expects nothing else but that His Will be known and loved, that It be done on earth as It is in Heaven. So you, making this eternal mission your own and imitating the Celestial Father, must want nothing else for yourself and for all but that my Will be known, loved and fulfilled. And besides, when it is the creature who exalts herself, one should think about it; but when she remains at her place and I exalt her, all is permissible to Me – making one reach wherever I want, and the way I want. Therefore, trust Me and do not be concerned.”

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, sometimes Your goodness and Your gifts can be so hard to believe. You indeed use and exalt the humble and the simple, not the wise and the learned. You have called Luisa Piccarreta and us linked to her in the Divine Will to Your true life living in us! Fiat Amen, what a gift!

Saturday in the Octave of Easter

Until The Whole World Hears

 “With this Flame full of graces that I give you from my

heart, ignite all the hearts in the entire country. Let this Flame go

from heart to heart. This is the miracle becoming the blaze whose

dazzling light will blind Satan. This is the fire of love of union

which I obtained from the heavenly Father through the merits of

the wounds of my Divine Son.” (Mary) (April 13, 1962)

Today’s Readings:

He said to them, “Go into the whole world

and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You have commissioned us to go out and preach the Gospel to every creature. In this time of present darkness, You have given us even more abundant grace through the Flame of Love Devotion- may the Flame in our hearts become a fire so that every heart will be open to receiving Your Divine Mercy which is the heart of the Gospel! Come Lord Jesus!

If the soul gives to God the food of patient love, God will give her the sweet bread of grace.

Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. (Romans 12:12)

Volume 6-April 14, 1904

I continue in my usual state, but always with immense bitterness in my soul because of the privation of blessed Jesus; at the most, He comes when I can take no more and after I have almost persuaded myself that He will come no more.
Then, I saw Him for just a little, carrying a chalice in His hand, and He told me: “My daughter, if in addition to the food of love you give Me the bread of your patience – because patient and suffering love is a more solid, more nourishing and fortifying food, for if love is not patient, it can be said that it is empty, light love and with no substance, and therefore it can be said that the necessary materials in order to form the bread of patience are lacking – …so, if you give Me this, I will give you the sweet bread of grace.”

Prayer Meditation- Lord, how hard it can be to be patient in our suffering and yet we know that love is patient (1 Corinthians 13) and You have asked us to love You with Your Love! Lord give us the sweet bread of Your Grace every day in Your Word and in the Sacrament, make our hears like unto thine!

Friday in the Octave of Easter

It Is The Lord- The God Who Makes Us Breakfast

Jesus: “Since the two of us have been so exhausted, let us eat

something hot.”

I prepared some hot soup and felt much better. While I was eating,

He praised me using few words but much feeling.

Jesus: “Is it not true that we now have both gained new strength?

I also suffer with you. Could you imagine that I would leave you

alone? No! I would never do that. Our souls are always in harmony.” (Jesus) (February 13, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to them, “Children, have you caught anything to eat?”
They answered him, “No.”
So he said to them, “Cast the net over the right side of the boat
and you will find something.”
So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in
because of the number of fish.
So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord.” (John 21)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we read about another encounter with You, the Risen Lord. The Apostles have gone fishing because it seems they really do not know what else to do. Sometimes is hard to know where we go next Lord when we decide to follow You and have seen Your Glory. And trying to do it all our own way is just exhausting! And yet Lord, You meet us where we are as You see us out there just spinning our wheels. And you don’t criticize us but You come quickly with Your abundance and You care about every single detail of our lives, yes even down to what we will eat and what we will drink (Matthew 6). We can feel confused, lost, empty, and exhausted but we can shout with confidence “It is the Lord!” knowing that You bring life and life abundant! (John 10)

Why Are You Troubled?

I see that you are dwelling

on these thoughts, so I will answer your inner questions. Obviously,

I do not call everyone in the same manner. I expect more

from the one who has received more. But this is not the most important

thing for you. The essential is to make sacrifices on behalf

of those you want to lead along My road.” (Jesus) (March 11, 1964)

Today’s Readings: “Peace be with you.”
But they were startled and terrified
and thought that they were seeing a ghost.
Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled?
And why do questions arise in your hearts?
Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself.
Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones
as you can see I have.”

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we see You in the upper room with the Apostles after You have risen. They have no idea what to expect and they feel all of their brokenness and weakness. What will You say- what will You do? Lord we can be startled and terrified in the presence of Your Majesty. But You are not mad us- You are not out to get us! So why are we troubled and why do we question You with such lack of trust in You- the God who bore our infirmities and nailed them to the Cross? Lord, You told St. Faustina that our sins do not wound You as much as our lack of trust does. Jesus, we trust in You and we surrender to You- let us bring all our questions to the throne of Grace!
