If The Soul Cannot Be Without Jesus, It Is A Sign That She Is Necessary To His Love

For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, ³⁹ nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

This morning blessed Jesus was not coming, and I was saying to myself: ‘Lord, don’t You see that I feel life missing in me? I feel such necessity of You, that if You do not come, I feel my being destroyed. Do not deny me what is absolutely necessary to me; I do not ask You for kisses, caresses, favors, but only for what is necessary.’ While I was saying this, I found myself all absorbed in Him; my whole being was dissolved in such a way that I could do nothing and see nothing but what He Himself was doing and seeing. I felt blissful, happy, all of my powers dozy – just like one who goes into the depths of the sea, which is all water, and if he looks, he sees water; if he speaks, the water prevents his speech and enters even into his
bowels; if he listens, it is the murmuring of the waters that enters into his ears. With this difference: that in the sea one’s life is in danger, and one feels neither happy nor blissful, while in God one reacquires divine life, happiness and beatitude. Then blessed Jesus told me: “My daughter, if you cannot be without Me, so much am I necessary for you, it is a sign that you are necessary to my love. In fact, the degree in which one becomes necessary to someone else, is a sign that the second is necessary to the first. Therefore, even though sometimes it seems that I am not coming, and you struggle, and I see how necessary I am for you, as this necessity grows in you, so does it grow in Me, and I say to Myself: ‘I am going to go and take this relief for my love.’ This is why, after you have struggled, I come.”

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, at times we can wonder where You are yet You are always with us, even when we do not feel You near. Let us dissolve into You like a little drop of water in the wide Ocean of Your Mercy and Your Love!

Monday of the Third Week of Lent

Too Familiar? (There is a Prophet in Israel)

“You know, the great sin of the world is to ignore My inspirations.

It is because of that and lukewarm consecrated souls

that the world is walking in darkness. They could help Me, but they

are not even aware how dangerous their tepidity is. (Jesus) (First Sunday of January 1964)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to the people in the synagogue at Nazareth:
“Amen, I say to you,
no prophet is accepted in his own native place. (Luke 4)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, it is easy to shake our heads at the town folk of Nazareth but we really should be pointing a finger back at ourselves. How many Masses attended without full attention, Sacraments received nonchalantly, and how much presumption that our parishes would always be available to us. We have had the bridegroom with us and we have given You at best often a  perfunctory genuflection when we should have been listening attentively to You at Your feet like Mary of Bethany. Lord, wake us up- may we take this time to meditate on Your Word and in prayer- let us search for You in sorrow like the Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph and may we again have the joy of finding You in Your Father’s House!

The Divine Will Perfects Love; It Modifies It, It Constrains It, And It Expands It Into Something Holier And More Perfect

So we know and believe the love God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him. ¹⁷ In this is love perfected with us, that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as he is so are we in this world. ¹⁸ There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and he who fears is not perfected in love. ¹⁹ We love, because he first loved us. ²⁰  (1 John 4:16-20)

As I was in my usual state, blessed Jesus came just in passing and told me: “My daughter, my Will perfects love; It modifies it, It shrinks it, and It expands it into something holier and more perfect. Sometimes love would want to run away and devour everything; but my Will masters love and says: ‘Slow down, don’t run away, because by running away you can hurt yourself, and by wanting to devour everything you can be mistaken.’ Love is pure insofar as it is conformed to my Will; they walk together, and they kiss each other continuously with the kiss of peace. Other times, either because of an interior state or because in its escapes it has not succeeded as it wanted, love would want to constrain Me and almost sit down sluggishly; so my Will spurs it on and says to it: ‘Come on, true lovers are not lazy – they don’t remain idle.’ When it is enclosed in my Will – only then is love safe. So, love makes one appreciate and desire something, and it is taken by follies and by excesses; while my Will tempers and calms love itself, and nourishes the loving soul with a food more solid and divine. Therefore, in love there can be many imperfections, even in holy things, while in my Will – never; everything is perfect.
My daughter, this happens especially in loving souls who have received the grace of my visits, of my kisses and caresses: they remain prey to love when I deprive them of Myself; love takes possession of them and renders them panting, fidgety, delirious, mad, restless, impatient. So, if it wasn’t for my Will that nourishes them, calms them, strengthens them, love would kill them. Though love is nothing but the firstborn child of my Will, it needs always to be corrected by my Will; and I love it as much as I love Myself.”

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, please perfect our love with Your Love- only in Your Holy and Divine Will can our love be perfect like Yours! Your Perfect Love drives out all fear and fills us with Your Peace!

Third Sunday of Lent

If We Only Knew The Gift of God

Keep this great grace you received from Me in the depth of your soul. It is a special gift of God. (Jesus) (May 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Jesus answered and said to her,
“If you knew the gift of God
and who is saying to you, ‘Give me a drink, ‘
you would have asked him
and he would have given you living water.” (John 4)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we read about the Samaritan Woman- so skeptical at first but by the end of the encounter she was a true believer. You showed her everything she ever did and yet You offered Her Your Living Water that she would never thirst again. Today, Lord, so many skeptical and stuck in poor decisions just like the Samaritan Woman. Will we open ourselves to Your Gift of Yourself or will we stay stuck where we are? Lord You thirst for us and nothing we have ever done can keep us from You- only we can keep ourselves from You. May we thirst always for the Living Water that will save our souls and the souls of all we love.

Who The Temple of God Is. The Divine Will, Temple Of The Soul

Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16)

Now, you must know that the soul in grace is the Temple of God; but when the soul lives in Our Will, God makes Himself Temple of the soul, and – oh! the great difference between the creature, Temple of God and God, Temple of the soul! The first is a temple exposed to dangers, to enemies, subject to passions; many times Our Supreme Being finds Himself in these temples as in the temples of stone, unattended, not loved as He should; and the little lamp of her continuous love, which she should keep in homage to her God who dwells within her, without the pure oil is extinguished; and if – heavens forbid – she falls into grave sin, Our temple collapses and is occupied by thieves, Our enemies and hers, who profane it and make havoc of it. The second Temple – that is, God, Temple of the soul – is not exposed to dangers, the enemies cannot get close, passions lose life. In this Divine Temple of Ours, the soul is like the little Host that holds her Jesus consecrated within It, and with the perennial love that she draws, receives and feeds on, she forms the little lamp, alive, always burning, without ever becoming extinguished. This, Our Temple, occupies Its royal place, Its fulfilled Will, and It is Our glory and Our triumph. And the little Host – what does she do inside this Temple of Ours? She prays, she loves, she lives of Divine Will, she substitutes for my Humanity on earth, she takes my place of pains, she calls the whole army of Our works to form Our cortege. Creation, Redemption – she holds them as her own and she commands over them, and now she places them around Us like an army in act of prayer, of adoration, now like an army in act of loving Us and glorifying Us. But she is always at the head of them, doing whatever she wants Our works to do; and she always concludes with her refrain, so very pleasing to Us: ‘Your Will be known and loved, and may It reign and dominate in the entire world.’ So, all the yearnings, the longings, the interests, the cares, the prayers, of this little Host that lives in Our Divine Temple, are for Our Fiat to embrace all, put all the evils of creatures aside, and with Its omnipotent breath form Its place in the hearts of all, so as to make Itself life of each creature.
Can anyone ever perform an office more beautiful, more holy, more important, more useful to Heaven and to the earth, than this little Host who lives in Our Temple? Moreover, Our love, Our power, makes all the shows, all the industries, all the stratagems with one who lives in Our Will: It makes Itself small and encloses Itself in this soul in order to form Its life, and nothing is left of her but the guises to cover It; It makes Itself immense, as It is, and shapes Itself as sumptuous Temple, to keep her safe inside of It, and enjoy her company. One who does Our Will is always occupied with Us, and We are always occupied with her. Therefore, be very careful to let yourself always be found in Our Will.”

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, we are Your Temple when the Holy Spirit dwells in us but now You are teaching us that in the Divine Will You are the Temple of our souls and we become Your little Host praying and loving with Your Love and embracing all! Lord may we always be found in Your Holy and Divine Will!

Saturday of the Second Week of Lent

Alive Again

With my Flame of Love, I want to

make the home come alive again with love. I want to unite families

that are scattered. (Mary) (August 8, 1962)

Today’s Gospel: While he was still a long way off,
his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion.
He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him.
His son said to him,
‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you;
I no longer deserve to be called your son.’
But his father ordered his servants,
‘Quickly, bring the finest robe and put it on him;
put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.
Take the fattened calf and slaughter it.
Then let us celebrate with a feast,
because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again;
he was lost, and has been found.’ (Luke 15)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we meditate on Your Heart- the Heart of a Father. A Father who not only waits for us to repent but runs to us at the first sign of good will! And where is the Mother in this story- she is by Your Side, Mother and Queen interceding for us! Lord, You celebrate every lost sheep who is found- let us join our prayers to Yours Lord Jesus for all who are lost in this world that they would be alive again in You!

Universal Effects Produced By The Acts Done In The Divine Will.

He says:
“It is too light a thing that you should be my servant
    to raise up the tribes of Jacob
    and to restore the preserved of Israel;
I will give you as a light to the nations,
    that my salvation may reach to the end of the earth.” (Isaiah 49:6)

Volume 14-March 10, 1922

I was doing the Hours of the Passion, and according to my usual way, I was pouring myself into the Holy Will of God, offering them for the good of all; but my will, as though wanting to interfere, very often would say: ‘My Jesus, in a special way for help, for relief, for liberation, of this soul.’ And my sweet Jesus, correcting me, told me: “My daughter, everything that one does in my Will is like sun that diffuses to all; and as one prays in my Will, offering my Blood, my pains, my wounds, these convert into as many rays of light which diffuse to all. They descend rapidly into the deepest prison of Purgatory and convert their pains and darkness into light. Therefore, it can be the same for everyone; and if there may be a difference, it can never be on the part of the one who gives, but of those who receive, according to the dispositions of each one. It happens as to the sun, which gives light to all equally; it hits and warms one point of the earth just as any other. But who profits from this? Those who work. Which land produces fruit? That in which seeds have been sown. Any other, in spite of the light of the sun, remains infertile. Therefore, distinctions do not exist in my Will; of It own, It runs, It diffuses, and wants to give Itself to all – whoever wants, can take of It.”
I remained afflicted on hearing this, and Jesus added: “Ah! You would like to act like the sun, if it wanted to concentrate its light and its heat more strongly at one point, to be able to warm it and illuminate it so
much, as to convert that point into the sun itself; while it continues its regular course over all other things.”

Prayer Meditation- O Lord it is unbelievable and awe inspiring that in Your Will we pray and repair for all, past present and future. At the same time we wonder, what about our loved ones and others we are praying for specifically? But You have made us in the Divine Will like little suns that are a light to the nations and to all so that all who are disposed will benefit! What an awesome God You are Lord- we love You, bless You and adore You! Fiat!

Friday of the Second Week of Lent

Collecting The Produce

Your oil bearing seeds can only mature and produce abundant

fruit in the rays of the Divine Sun. Try to serve Me even better. (Jesus) (October 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Hear another parable.
There was a landowner who planted a vineyard,
put a hedge around it,
dug a wine press in it, and built a tower.
Then he leased it to tenants and went on a journey.
When vintage time drew near,
he sent his servants to the tenants to obtain his produce. (Matthew 21)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You have given each of us a vineyard, You have given us all that we need to produce good fruit in our souls. And You have every right to collect our produce at any time at a time unknown to us. But will we be ready or are we fighting Your Grace as if You have no right to the vineyard of our souls. Lord, we do not own our vineyards, they belong to You! Lord, our fruit can only mature in the rays of Your Divine Sun in our lives. Lord, help us to serve You and to be ready when You call, building our lives on the Cornerstone of Your Love!

Jesus Speaks About Humility And About Correspondence To Grace

 But he gives more grace; therefore it says, “God opposes the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” (James 4:6)

Volume 4-March 9, 1903

Continuing in my usual state, I could hear blessed Jesus praying in my interior, saying: “Holy Father, glorify your Name; confound the proud and hide Yourself from them, and manifest Yourself to the humble, because only one who is humble recognizes You as his Creator, and recognizes himself as your creature.” Having said this, He no longer let Himself be heard, though I comprehended the power of humility before God. It seemed to me that God has no restraint in entrusting the most precious treasures to the humble; on the contrary, everything is open for them, nothing is under lock and key. All the opposite for the proud; even more, it seems that He puts a twine around their feet to confound them at each step.
Then, a little later, He made Himself seen again, and told me: “My daughter, one can know whether a body is alive from its continuous internal heat. It can also be warmed through some external heat, but since this heat does not come from true life, the body quickly cools down again. The same with the soul: it can be known whether she is alive to grace, whether her internal life is alive in operating, in loving Me, if she feels the strength of my very life within hers. If then it is because of some external cause that she warms up, does some good and then cools down again, returning to vices and committing the usual weaknesses, there is great certainty that she is dead to grace, or is at the final extremes of life. In this way one can know whether it is truly I who go to the soul: if she feels my grace in her interior, and all of her good is founded within her interior. If then it is all external and she perceives nothing good in her interior, it can be the work of the devil.” While saying this, He disappeared; but after a little while He came back and added: “My daughter, how terrible it can be for those souls who have been much fecundated by my grace, but have not corresponded to it. The Jewish nation was the favorite one, the most fecundated, and yet, the most sterile; and the whole of my Person could not obtain that fruit which Paul obtained in other nations, less fecundated, but more corresponding. In fact, lack of correspondence to grace blinds the soul, it makes her deceive herself, and disposes her
to obstinacy, even in the face of any miracle.”

Prayer Meditation- O Lord may we be humble so that You would entrust Your treasures and Your Grace to us! May we be truly alive to Your Grace- may we not miss the time of Your Visitation to us in these times but may we give our fiat always to Your Kingdom now and forever!

Thursday of the Second Week of Lent

Only His Love Remains

Why do you prefer some passing goal? Do you not trust the value of sufferings? I give value to your sufferings and it causes Me sorrow if you do not appreciate them. (Jesus) (August 16, 1962)

Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD,

whose hope is the LORD.

He is like a tree planted beside the waters

that stretches out its roots to the stream:

It fears not the heat when it comes,

its leaves stay green;

In the year of drought it shows no distress,

but still bears fruit. (Jeremiah 17)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord, we put our faith is so many passing things- work, health, family, our country. And yet all things will pass- only Your Love remains. We are pilgrims and one way or another, we will suffer loss, pain, and grief in this world. However, united with Your Love we are like the tree planted beside the still waters of Your Grace and we will not fear.
