Our Purpose In Life

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Thirtieth Week of Ordinary Time

Our Purpose In Life

You know, do you not, that I invited you to My private

war camp? Do not be attracted by the passing comfort of this

world. The coming of My Kingdom must be your only purpose in

life. My words will reach a multitude of souls consecrated to Me.

Trust! My grace will be with you and I will help all of you in a miraculous

way.” (Jesus) (August 8, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Today’s Readings: Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like?

To what can I compare it?

It is like a mustard seed that a man took and planted in the garden.

When it was fully grown, it became a large bush

and ‘the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches.'”

Prayer Meditation- Lord Your Kingdom starts small- little seeds that grow in our hearts and souls. Some of us are blessed to have been baptized and brought up in the faith. Others have come into the Kingdom later in life. The Kingdom grows in us slowly watered by Your Grace as we grow in virtue from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18) if we do our part and allow You to change us. Lord, grow the Kingdom each day in our hearts and in our family members as we sow seeds of faith into the hearts of those we love! Let it be our only purpose in life that with Your Grace we will fight with You as Children of the King to save souls!

The God Who Sees Us —

The God Who Sees Us

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Monday of the Thirtieth Week of Ordinary Time

The God Who Sees Us

Nevertheless, I will work a miracle. I will so bless the problem which seems impossible that all will be straightened out.” (Jesus) (August 3, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Jesus was teaching in a synagogue on the sabbath. And a woman was there who for eighteen years had been crippled by a spirit; she was bent over, completely incapable of standing erect. When Jesus saw her, he called to her and said, “Woman, you are set free of your infirmity.” He laid his hands on her, and she at once stood up straight and glorified God. (Luke 13)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, so many of us may be crippled by many things. It could be an actual physical infirmity but it can also be our own pride, weakness, or sin which keeps us bent over and unable to keep our eyes on You! Lord, You see all and you want all to be free! Help us Lord- make our crooked ways straight (Isaiah 45:2) so that we can stand up with the dignity You have intended for all of Your children! Lord You are the lifter of our heads (Psalm 3:3)- help us to keep our eyes on what is above!

Be Merciful To Me A Sinner — October 22, 2022

Be Merciful To Me A Sinner

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thirtieth Sunday of Ordinary Time

Be Merciful To Me A Sinner

“How good of You to come! Truly, You do not despise me. Because I am a sinner, You double Your strength in me. What goodness, what limitless compassion You have for a repentant sinner.” For a long time, I gave thanks for His infinite mercy. (Elizabeth) (November 22, 1962)

Today’s Readings: But the tax collector stood off at a distance
and would not even raise his eyes to heaven
but beat his breast and prayed,
‘O God, be merciful to me a sinner.’
I tell you, the latter went home justified, not the former;
for whoever exalts himself will be humbled,
and the one who humbles himself will be exalted.” (Luke 18)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we hear at Mass about the Pharisee and the tax collector. The Pharisee praises himself with his laundry list of spiritual practices. Those of us who strive to follow You can easily fall into the same fault if we are not careful- Rosary, check, Fasting, check, Daily Mass, check. It means nothing without love. Lord let us come to You like the tax collector, fully aware of who we are and who You are. You are God and we are not! Let us come with all our faults and failures because what limitless compassion You have for a repentant sinner. Even spiritual pride is deadly- Lord may we always bring humble and grateful hearts to You because only You can fix what is broken in us!

Cultivating Grace — October 21, 2022

Cultivating Grace

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Saturday of the Twenty Ninth Week of Ordinary Time

Cultivating Grace

Always give Me new and abundant sacrifices. I am sowing in your soul the seed of My graces, My holy doctrine. Cultivate it in your soul by your prayers, mortifications, and a continual acceptance of sacrifices.” (Jesus) (May 18, 1963)

Today’s Readings:

He said to him in reply,
‘Sir, leave it for this year also,
and I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it;
it may bear fruit in the future.
If not you can cut it down.’” (Luke 13)

Prayer Meditation: Lord God, You sow the seed of Your Graces in our souls- You take special care s making sure we have everything we need to grow so we can bear fruit. Lord may we cultivate this Grace in our souls by prayer and sacrifice offered for the love of You and for the salvation of souls! Lord may You reap a mighty harvest of souls because we responded in love to Your Grace! May our hands gather in unity!

Every Little Prison —

Every Little Prison

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Friday of the Twenty Ninth Week of Ordinary Time

Every Little Prison

All can

work for Me, the free man and the one suffering in prison. (Jesus) (May 24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: “Why do you not judge for yourselves what is right?

If you are to go with your opponent before a magistrate,

make an effort to settle the matter on the way;

otherwise your opponent will turn you over to the judge,

and the judge hand you over to the constable,

and the constable throw you into prison.

I say to you, you will not be released

until you have paid the last penny.” (Luke 12)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today’s Gospel speaks of seeing the signs of the times. Do we see You in our everyday lives? In our circumstances, in others, in those who need our help? Do we see You in everything or are we too distracted by the noise in our heads? Lord, so much of that noise is what keeps us in chains- resentments, unforgiveness, differences with others, stress and anxiety and our own failings and weaknesses. Are we ready to be free or are we content with every little prison that keeps us bound? Lord we can all work for You, in whatever circumstance we find ourselves. Help us always to see You passing by and to recognize the time of Your Visitation in our lives! (Luke 19:44).

Rooted and Grounded In Love — October 19, 2022

Rooted and Grounded In Love

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Twenty Ninth Week of Ordinary Time

Rooted and Grounded in Love

From this point forward, you will fight an uninterrupted struggle against the

demands of the body pulling strongly towards the earth and the inner desires of your soul

longing for heaven. It is by resisting them constantly and by confronting them that you will

remain in possession of the Spirit of Love.” (Jesus) (October 23-24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: I kneel before the Father,

from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named,

that he may grant you in accord with the riches of his glory

to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in the inner self,

and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith;

that you, rooted and grounded in love,

may have strength to comprehend with all the holy ones

what is the breadth and length and height and depth,

and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge,

so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. (Ephesians 3)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, life on earth is a warfare, (Job 7), we are constantly pulled to Earth in our weakness even as our souls long for You! Lord, today let us pray with St. Paul that we be strengthened by Your Spirit in our inner selves. Root us and ground us in Your Love which surpasses all knowledge! Lord in today’s Gospel (Luke 12), You tell us You have come to set the Earth on Fire! Lord in these times, Come Holy Spirit! Come by the means of the Power of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

Much Is Expected — October 18, 2022

Much Is Expected

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Sants John de Brebeuf and Isaac Jogues

Much is Expected

“Reach beyond your limits. Look at the Three Wise Men,

who made superhuman sacrifice. They left behind their limitations. First and foremost, this is

what is expected of the clergy and others consecrated to God and all the believers. (Jesus) (January 1, 1981)

Today’s Readings: Much will be required of the person entrusted with much,

and still more will be demanded of the person entrusted with more.” (Luke 12)

Prayer Meditation- Sometimes Lord this Gospel scares me, especially when I meditate on the many Graces I have been given in my life. You expect all of us to respond and cooperate with Your Graces and Inspirations! These days can seem dark but never have we had so much Grace pouring out from Heaven through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and Your Divine Mercy! Lord, help us not to look at our limitations but trust In You that You will make Your Strength perfect in our weakness (2 Corinthians 12:9). Lord help us never to lose the desire for holiness and union with You!

The Laborers Are Few — October 17, 2022

The Laborers Are Few

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Feast of Saint Luke, the Evangelist

The Laborers are Few

The souls that make reparation and faithfully follow My desires are so few.”(Jesus) (October 18, 1962)

Today’s Readings: He said to them,
“The harvest is abundant but the laborers are few;
so ask the master of the harvest
to send out laborers for his harvest. (Luke 10)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we celebrate St. Luke. St. Luke’s Gospel ,of the four, is the Gospel of Your Mercy and Love and desire for healing for the lost and the broken. In the Gospel today we see the sending of the 72- today Lord You send us out today in this broken world, just a few laborers in an ever growing harvest of souls in need of Your Grace. Lord, help us to be the ones who make reparation and faithfully follow Your desires for the salvation of souls! Let us be merciful in our words and deeds and never discount the power of prayer and intercession to bring in the harvest of souls for You!

Good Works Prepared In Advance — October 16, 2022

Good Works Prepared In Advance

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Ignatius of Antioch

Good Works Prepared In Advance

Write what I say: Any person, in any place, who will read this Divine

Emanation with which I honored you yesterday, will also (nobody is excluded) share in the

outpouring of My graces that I will pour out over the souls by virtue of your merits united to

mine, as a payment in advance for the drops of oil flowing from your sufferings.” (Jesus) (January 20, 1964)

Today’s Readings: For by grace you have been saved through faith,

and this is not from you; it is the gift of God;

it is not from works, so no one may boast.

For we are his handiwork, created in Christ Jesus for good works

that God has prepared in advance,

that we should live in them. (Ephesians 2)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we are saved by Grace and not anything we are doing which is a great relief! Faith is a gift! You have asked us though to cooperate with Your Grace to do the good works that have been prepared for us in advance. At times of our life, that may be exterior activity and serving the Church. At other times, and really at all times, it is prayer and also acceptance of sufferings that can bear the most fruit. Lord, help us to be docile to what You asking of us through the sacrament of the present moment offering all for love of You and salvation of souls!

Convenient or Inconvenient — October 15, 2022

Convenient or Inconvenient

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Twenty Ninth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Convenient or Inconvenient

Speech is a gift of God, and one day, we must give an account of our words. Through words, souls communicate with one another. Also through words, people get to know us.
Therefore, we have no right to wrap ourselves in silence. We also must remember that we are responsible for every spoken word. Therefore, we should walk and live in God’s presence, pondering each word that we say. Our Father gave the gift of speech and you must make use of your gift. Do not be afraid to speak!” (Jesus) (July 26, 1971)

Today’s Readings: I charge you in the presence of God and of Christ Jesus,
who will judge the living and the dead,
and by his appearing and his kingly power:
proclaim the word;
be persistent whether it is convenient or inconvenient;
convince, reprimand, encourage through all patience and teaching. (2 Timothy 3)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord we will give an account of our words- how have we used our gift of speech? Do we proclaim Your Word whether it is convenient or inconvenient? Are we afraid it may cost to speak about our faith? Lord we can only discern when it is right to speak by walking and living in Your presence and pondering what we say. Then in union with You we can trust that You will be with us when we speak Your Word of encouragement or even reprimand so let us not be afraid to speak the Truth in love!
