Not One Lost

‘My little one, I want that not one soul be damned. You should want this together with me. For this purpose, I place in your hands a beam of light that is the Flame of Love of my heart.’” (Mary) (January 15, 1964)

Today’s Readings: And if he finds it, amen, I say to you, he rejoices more over it than over the ninety-nine that did not stray. In just the same way, it is not the will of your heavenly Father that one of these little ones be lost.” (Matthew 18)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You came for Your little ones, We are all Your little ones- created in love in Your image. And You rejoice when we are found because it is Your Will that none of Your children be lost. It is hard in today’s world with so much division to see the “little ones” in those who appear to be opposed to the Gospel. And yet it is our duty to never give up on anyone but to unite with You in prayer and sacrifice for those who do not yet know Your Love! Lord help us want what You want and offer all to You today for love of You and conversion of sinners that none would be lost!

He Grants Peace

He Grants Peace

“As you see, I am honoring you again. At your request, I come to bless your family and the whole neighborhood. I have brought My peace. Trust! Do not give way to discouragement! (Jesus) (April 14, 1964)

Today’s Readings: He has granted peace in your borders; with the best of wheat he fills you. He sends forth his command to the earth; swiftly runs his word! (Psalm 147)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we read in the readings about the God who provides, who takes care of His Children. You brought Your people to the promised land and granted them peace in their borders and filled them with the best of wheat! Lord You came to save us and redeem us, to bless us and take care of us even in the smallest things as we see in today’s Gospel about the temple tax and the fish with the coin. Lord, let us not be discouraged but trust in You as You continue to pour Yourself out in Your Word and in the Sacraments, including daily in the Most Holy Eucharist! Lord, bring us Your Peace Lord today and every day!

Nineteenth Sunday in Ordinary Time

Evidence of Things Unseen

“Accept faithfully the sacrifices that I ask of you for My Cause. Many ask repeatedly to share in My works, but when they must accept a sacrifice from My own hands, they are afraid of Me.” (Jesus) (March 4-7, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Brothers and sisters: Faith is the realization of what is hoped for and evidence of things not seen. Because of it the ancients were well attested. (Hebrews 11)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, faith is the evidence of things unseen. We read in the second reading about how Abraham walked in faith even when he could not see what was ahead. We are also asked to walk in faith- to accept the sacrifices You are asking of us in our daily lives. Lord we are often so afraid of these crosses- illness, family trouble, financial difficulties, we just want to pray them away. And it is fine of course to pray for healing but at the same time how are we behaving in the valley? Are we walking in union with You knowing that You will walk with us through any dark night? Or do we start to lose faith and hope. In Luke’s Gospel today you tell us not to be afraid, as we are Your little flock and where our treasure is our hearts will be. Are You and the Kingdom of Heaven our treasure or are we wasting time in our own pursuits because we believe Your coming is long delayed? Lord help us to remember we are sojourners here on our way to Heaven. You are always faithful Lord, help us to be faithful in our walk each day.

Feast of the Transfiguration

Listen To Him

Because your soul has been purified of the anguish of doubts, you now have been given the power to rise to the heavenly Father and be immersed in the delightful and joyful contemplation of the Holy Trinity. (Jesus) (October 23-24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: While he was still speaking, 
a cloud came and cast a shadow over them,
and they became frightened when they entered the cloud.
Then from the cloud came a voice that said, 
“This is my chosen Son; listen to him.”
After the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone.
They fell silent and did not at that time 
tell anyone what they had seen. (Luke 9)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we meditate on the Transfiguration. Peter, John, and James see You in the Your Glory. Peter nervously tries to enter the conversation with You, the Law (Moses) and the Prophets (Elijah) but really the Apostles are scared to death and have no idea what is going on. In so many ways, when faced with Your Glory and Your Majesty, we can be the same. And yet, You call us- Our God first and foremost but also Our Friend to rise and not be afraid especially in these turbulent times. You call us to be purified of doubt and fear and to rise to You in confidence and trust! Let us raise our eyes and see no one but You alone- reign in all the Earth Jesus!

Take Courage

“My little one, take courage and gaze at Me. May our eyes look at each other and our glances melt in one another.”  (Jesus) (January 14, 1963)

Today’s Readings: At once Jesus spoke to them, “Take courage, it is I; do not be afraid.” Peter said to him in reply, “Lord, if it is you, command me to come to you on the water.” He said, “Come.” (Matthew 14)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You call us out upon the waters, the great unknown where feet may fail! We want to come out to walk with You, but we so often can’t keep our eyes above the waves. Lord help us not to doubt, why do we have so little faith? Call us Lord like You called Peter and command us to come to You- may our glances melt in one another as we keep our eyes fixed on You, the only one who walks with us through the storms of our life.  You will never let us sink when we look down if we but call Your Name! Lord, may our humble prayer be Your Command!

Bringing What We Have

“You are the smallest, the most ignorant and the least meritorious soul that I ever found so as to bring these graces. In spite of that, through your littleness and humility, I want to send forth my messages.” (Mary) (January 14, 1963)

Today’s Readings: But they said to him,

“Five loaves and two fish are all we have here.” Then he said, “Bring them here to me,” (Matthew 14)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we so want to do Your Work but we have so little to give.- just a couple loaves of bread and a couple fishes. Our smallness, ignorance, and our lack of ability to do anything on our own can feel so limiting. How can we feed the thousands who need You, or even those close to us who are far from You! Yet Lord You choose the weak of the world to confound the strong (1 Corinthians 1:27). You use us, broken earthly vessels, to be conduits of Grace as You multiply the little we have – You fill the wicker baskets to overflowing when we rely and trust in You! Lord help us to know that at each moment of our day You are with us- multiplying the little we have to give for Your Glory today for the salvation of souls.

Vanity, Vanity, all is Vanity!

Along the way, I met people who remembered me as a model young mother. That worried me because I felt that the evil One was tempting me with vanity. I implored: “Dear heavenly Mother, I do not want to ever be unfaithful to you. Do not abandon me, hold me tight. I do not trust myself. My steps are so unsteady (Elizabeth) (1961-1962)

Today’s Readings: For what profit comes to man from all the toil and anxiety of heart with which he has labored under the sun? All his days sorrow and grief are his occupation; even at night his mind is not at rest. This also is vanity. (Ecclesiastes 1)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today’s readings of the Mass remind us of the shortness of our days. The Psalm asks You to teach us the number of our days (Psalm 90). The Gospel reminds us that we are to build up treasure in Heaven, not on Earth. (Luke 12). It is so easy to get caught up in the vanities of life here on Earth but we are but sojourners here on our way to Heaven. Lord through the Immaculate Heart of Mary help us to offer each day to You, not our will but Yours be done, and guide our unsteady steps to Heaven so that we don’t get stuck in things that just don’t matter!

Glory Cloud- How Lovely Is Your Dwelling Place!

Each morning, present to Me the offering of your sacrifices; place it at the door of My tabernacle, it will ignite at the fire of My love. During the day, let not the flame of your sacrifices fade away. See to it that the love of many victim souls rise up to Me, and through My intercession, obtain the mercy of the heavenly Father.” (Jesus) (May 1962)

Today’s Readings: In the daytime the cloud of the LORD was seen over the Dwelling;
whereas at night, fire was seen in the cloud
by the whole house of Israel
in all the stages of their journey. (Exodus 40)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we bless You, we adore You and we praise You because the Israelites saw Your Glory in the Dwelling of the meeting tent. The Cloud guided them by day and the fire, the fire of Your Love was with them at night. And today we can worship Your Glory in every tabernacle in the world even unto the end of time! And unlike the Israelites we can approach You and worship You without fear! (Luke 1) in every Catholic Church. Each morning Lord let us offer You our sacrifices at the door of Your tabernacle and we can do so not only for ourselves but for everyone past, present, and future because the fire of Your Love will burn ever more brightly as we unite our little acts of love to the Love that will never let us go! How lovely is Your Dwelling Place, O Lord Mighty God! (Psalm 84)
