Many People In This City

Mary: “You can only explain my Flame of Love to others by speaking about it. You have no right to be silent because of cowardice, pride, negligence or fear of sacrifice. (Mary) (Diary Page 283)

Today’s Readings: One night while Paul was in Corinth, the Lord said to him in a vision,
“Do not be afraid.
Go on speaking, and do not be silent, for I am with you.
No one will attack and harm you,
for I have many people in this city. (Acts 18)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, especially today, like St. Paul we may all feel afraid to share the Gospel. All we have to do is post something on Facebook to a general audience and watch what happens or say something at a social gathering about faith and check out the response. Our world has become secular. But is it really that or perhaps is it that there is a very loud minority that would want us silent? Because the fact of the matter is that there are many people who have faith and many others who are looking for the hope that is in us (1 Peter 3:15). Lord, I have never known anyone who has turned down prayer or an encouraging word. So let us not be afraid but go on speaking and not let human respect get in the way. How can they know unless someone teaches them ? (Acts 8:31). Blessed Mother, spread the effects of Grace of The Flame of Love over all humanity!

Solemnity of the Ascension of Our Lord

Waiting for the Power from On High

Have total confidence in Me, this is the key to My Heart. Put aside your doubts. The Holy Spirit whom you invoke frequently will take possession of your soul through Our Mother, His favorite. (March 4-7, 1962)

Today’s Readings: He answered them, “It is not for you to know the times or seasons that the Father has established by his own authority. But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, throughout Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, with the Ascension we enter now the time of waiting with great expectancy! You are in Heaven but the promised Spirit has yet to enter hearts! Many of us Lord wait with expectation- we may be waiting to hear about a doctor’s report, waiting to hear about a job or promotion, waiting for a new baby, waiting for a loved one to pass. It is not up to us to know the time or seasons . But we have been promised power when the Holy Spirit comes upon us! We have that power living in us! Lord as we spend the next ten days waiting for Pentecost let us gather with Our Mother, the Mother of the Church in the upper room in fervent and devout prayer! Come Holy Spirit, Come by the means of the power of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.

Live and Move and Have Our Being

“My little one, your profound sorrow for sins will move many to repentance, and sinners will return to Me.” (Jesus) (April 15, 1964)

Today’s Readings: He made from one the whole human race to dwell on the entire surface of the earth, and he fixed the ordered seasons and the boundaries of their regions, so that people might seek God, even perhaps grope for him and find him, though indeed he is not far from any one of us. For ‘In him we live and move and have our being,’ (Acts 17)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, it seems that the world, at least in the West has become like Athens where St. Paul was preaching. The people are “religious” but it is for idols made from human hands- it really is no different today. St. Paul preached about Your Goodness Lord and Your Providence that we would seek You in whom we live and move and have our being. We cannot take even one breath without you! Lord, let us have profound sorrow for the sins of the world and offer our loving acts of prayer and sacrifice that sinners would return to You.

Tuesday of the Sixth Week of Easter

Chain Breaker

Let Him chain me to His Sacred Feet so I would always be united to Him. Thus, I would always feel sheltered. He then asked me to renounce myself because I tend to be distracted and worldly. (Elizabeth ) (Diary Page 35)

Today’s Readings: But Paul shouted out in a loud voice, “Do no harm to yourself; we are all here.” He asked for a light and rushed in and, trembling with fear, he fell down before Paul and Silas. Then he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” And they said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus and you and your household will be saved.” (Acts 16)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we read about Paul and Silas in prison, and yet it was the guard and so often us who are in chains. The earthquake that opened the prison doors was the opportunity for the guard to come to You to be saved! So often Lord, it is the earthquakes in our lives that come out of nowhere that do just that- that cause us to tremble in fear and yet if we reach out to You, we will be set free from the chains of sin and darkness that have kept us in prison. Lord help us not to return to being worldly and distracted, to our old lives- break our chains so that we can live united to You!

Living in the Spirit- Real Time

Jesus: “And I tell you: From now on, no longer speak of yourself. The ‘I’ in you must cease completely. Let there be only Me for you. That is your real life.” (Jesus) (May 16, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Today’s Readings: Jesus said to his disciples: “When the Advocate comes whom I will send you from the Father, the Spirit of truth who proceeds from the Father, he will testify to me. And you also testify, because you have been with me from the beginning. (John 15)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You have promised that You will send the Advocate. In fact, if we are baptized and confirmed You indeed have. Lord sometimes it gets so confusing- there are the gifts and the fruits but we can so often wonder if any of this is actually working in our lives. Yet Lord, You meant for Your Spirit to guide us in our real lives, real time! Lord, send us anew Your Spirit of Truth- let Him testify to You so that we can testify that this same Spirit that rose Jesus from the grave lives in us! (Romans 8:11) Come Holy Spirit with all of Your Gifts- let Your Peace rule in our hearts (Colossians 3:15).

Come Holy Spirit

Jesus: “Now, you must endure the suffering and darkness which My disciples experienced after My death. But as I sent the Holy Spirit upon them, I will also send Him upon all those for whom you must suffer. Now, in the middle of the sufferings, you comprehend what you did not understand before. This miracle is the repeated coming of the Holy Spirit that many await, and the light of His grace will spread and penetrate the whole earth” (Jesus) (May 15, 1965)

Today’s Readings: “I have told you this while I am with you. The Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and remind you of all that I told you. (John 14)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we read how You spent time with the Apostles, getting them ready not only for what was to come soon, Your Death, but also the coming of The Holy Spirit! You promised that The Holy Spirit would come and remind them of all You told them. You make that same promise to us too- but are we asking for the Holy Spirit to come into our hearts? Are we asking for His Gifts given to us at Baptism and Confirmation? Are we manifesting His Fruits? Lord particularly in these times, we can feel like we are walking in darkness. But we are never alone and You are always with us! Lord, help us to offer our daily suffering and darkness in union with You for the salvation of many souls! Come Holy Spirit! Come by the means of the Power of the Flame of Love of the Immaculate Heart of Mary!

Blessed Are Those Who Hear The Word

“My Mother, why do you not work miracles like you did at Fatima so people may believe in you?”

Mary: “The greater the miracles, my little one, the fewer those who believed in me. I asked for the First Saturdays and they never heeded my request. I am your gentle and understanding Mother. United with you, I will save you. (Elizabeth/Mary) (April 13, 1962)

Today’s Readings: He replied, “Rather, blessed are those
who hear the word of God and observe it.” (Luke 11)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we praise You, we bless You and we adore You for this beautiful feast day of Our Lady of Fatima. She came to warn us, Her Children and Yours, and to lovingly instruct us in Heaven’s Peace Plan for this hurting world. She asked us for First Saturday devotions in reparation for our sins and offenses against Her Immaculate Heart. She asked us to pray the Rosary for peace and she warned us about the errors that were to come into the world through our own destructive human wills and ideologies because apart from You we can do nothing (John 15). And we did not listen. Yet She is our gentle and understanding Mother who so wants to unite with us still to save us by bringing us safely to You and Your Divine Mercy! Lord, help us to spread the Flame of Love of Her Immaculate Heart to save souls and bring down Your Kingdom because Her Immaculate Heart will triumph, it is a guarantee! Fiat!

Friday of the Fifth Week of Easter

I Chose You

This is why I chose you to be the instrument of our heavenly messages, so that the world will see how prevailing is the Divine Will that wants to be manifested only through the weak. (Jesus) (February 17, 1964)

Today’s Readings: It was not you who chose me, but I who chose you
and appointed you to go and bear fruit that will remain,
so that whatever you ask the Father in my name he may give you.
This I command you: love one another. (John 15)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You chose us! If we spend some time to really meditate on this it can’t help but blow us away. You chose us- not because of anything wonderful about us or our achievements or our status in this world. You choose the weak to confound the strong, not the other way around. (1 Corinthians 1:27). And the amazing thing is that we can fall and we can fail and we can totally blow it and we can still rest in the blessed assurance that You have not taken back Your choice. We are weak and we are no surprise to You! Lord to be messengers in this age of darkness- to bring the Kingdom of Your Divine Will on Earth is something given to the little ones. Those who come to You like St. Therese like a little child. So let us come to You as children- repent of anything that has gotten in the way of our total dependence on You, Abba Father, because the Kingdom has been hidden from those who are wise in this world and revealed to the little ones. (Matthew 11:25).

Thursday of the Fifth Week of Easter

Remain In Him

I am your way and your life. Everything passes away, only your work for souls remains.” (Jesus) (January 18, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to his disciples: “As the Father loves me, so I also love you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love.(John 15)

Prayer Meditation: Lord, it seems like it should be so easy- just remain in Your Love! But how many things pull us so many directions- temptations, fears, anxieties, troubles all around. And then there we are trying to white knuckle it all by ourselves! Lord You told Saint Faustina that the cause of our falls is that we rely on ourselves and not on You! So how do we remain in You, the only Love that lasts? Help us Lord to remain faithful to prayer, meditating on Your Word, and the Sacraments as often as we can even Spiritual Communions! Without You we can do nothing- let’s not even try it ourselves today- only Your Love remains, all else passes!

Staying Connected

Did you forget that I wanted you to renounce all distracting literature? Let your life be one of contemplation, prayer and sacrifice. (Jesus) (September 2, 1963)

Today’s Gospel: Today’s Readings:

Jesus said to his disciples: “I am the true vine, and my Father is the vine grower. He takes away every branch in me that does not bear fruit, and everyone that does he prunes so that it bears more fruit. (John 15)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord, there is so much in our world that distracts us from Your Voice and Your Will. Our time on Earth is short and distractions are just wasted time! Help us to stay connected to You, the One True Vine by prayer and by offering every moment to You! Let us not just take up space but may we truly bear fruit (Galatians 5)! May we stay connected to You as we unplug from the world.
