Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Until The Whole World Hears
“With this Flame full of graces that I give you from my
heart, ignite all the hearts in the entire country. Let this Flame go
from heart to heart. This is the miracle becoming the blaze whose
dazzling light will blind Satan. This is the fire of love of union
which I obtained from the heavenly Father through the merits of
the wounds of my Divine Son.” (Mary) (April 13, 1962)
Today’s Readings:
He said to them, “Go into the whole world
and proclaim the Gospel to every creature.” (Mark 16)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, You have commissioned us to go out and preach the Gospel to every creature. In this time of present darkness, You have given us even more abundant grace through the Flame of Love Devotion- may the Flame in our hearts become a fire so that every heart will be open to receiving Your Divine Mercy which is the heart of the Gospel! Come Lord Jesus!
If the soul gives to God the food of patient love, God will give her the sweet bread of grace.
Rejoice in your hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. (Romans 12:12)
Volume 6-April 14, 1904
I continue in my usual state, but always with immense bitterness in my soul because of the privation of blessed Jesus; at the most, He comes when I can take no more and after I have almost persuaded myself that He will come no more. Then, I saw Him for just a little, carrying a chalice in His hand, and He told me: “My daughter, if in addition to the food of love you give Me the bread of your patience – because patient and suffering love is a more solid, more nourishing and fortifying food, for if love is not patient, it can be said that it is empty, light love and with no substance, and therefore it can be said that the necessary materials in order to form the bread of patience are lacking – …so, if you give Me this, I will give you the sweet bread of grace.”
Prayer Meditation- Lord, how hard it can be to be patient in our suffering and yet we know that love is patient (1 Corinthians 13) and You have asked us to love You with Your Love! Lord give us the sweet bread of Your Grace every day in Your Word and in the Sacrament, make our hears like unto thine!

It Is The Lord- The God Who Makes Us Breakfast
Jesus: “Since the two of us have been so exhausted, let us eat
something hot.”
I prepared some hot soup and felt much better. While I was eating,
He praised me using few words but much feeling.
Jesus: “Is it not true that we now have both gained new strength?
I also suffer with you. Could you imagine that I would leave you
alone? No! I would never do that. Our souls are always in harmony.” (Jesus) (February 13, 1964)
Today’s Readings: Jesus said to them, “Children, have you caught anything to eat?” They answered him, “No.” So he said to them, “Cast the net over the right side of the boat and you will find something.” So they cast it, and were not able to pull it in because of the number of fish. So the disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, “It is the Lord.” (John 21)
Prayer Meditation- Lord today we read about another encounter with You, the Risen Lord. The Apostles have gone fishing because it seems they really do not know what else to do. Sometimes is hard to know where we go next Lord when we decide to follow You and have seen Your Glory. And trying to do it all our own way is just exhausting! And yet Lord, You meet us where we are as You see us out there just spinning our wheels. And you don’t criticize us but You come quickly with Your abundance and You care about every single detail of our lives, yes even down to what we will eat and what we will drink (Matthew 6). We can feel confused, lost, empty, and exhausted but we can shout with confidence “It is the Lord!” knowing that You bring life and life abundant! (John 10)

Why Are You Troubled?
I see that you are dwelling
on these thoughts, so I will answer your inner questions. Obviously,
I do not call everyone in the same manner. I expect more
from the one who has received more. But this is not the most important
thing for you. The essential is to make sacrifices on behalf
of those you want to lead along My road.” (Jesus) (March 11, 1964)
Today’s Readings: “Peace be with you.” But they were startled and terrified and thought that they were seeing a ghost. Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled? And why do questions arise in your hearts? Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones as you can see I have.”
Prayer Meditation- Lord today we see You in the upper room with the Apostles after You have risen. They have no idea what to expect and they feel all of their brokenness and weakness. What will You say- what will You do? Lord we can be startled and terrified in the presence of Your Majesty. But You are not mad us- You are not out to get us! So why are we troubled and why do we question You with such lack of trust in You- the God who bore our infirmities and nailed them to the Cross? Lord, You told St. Faustina that our sins do not wound You as much as our lack of trust does. Jesus, we trust in You and we surrender to You- let us bring all our questions to the throne of Grace!
It is not the suffering that renders the creature unhappy; she becomes unhappy when something is missing to her love.
More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not disappoint us, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.(Romans 5:3-5)
Volume 12-April 12, 1917
As I was in my usual state, my always lovable Jesus came, and since I was a little in suffering, He took me in His arms and told me: “My beloved daughter, beloved daughter of mine, rest in Me. Even more, your pains – do not keep them with yourself, but send them up to my Cross, that they may become the cortege of my pains and relieve Me, and my pains may be the cortege of yours and sustain you, burn with the same fire and be consumed together. And I will look upon your pains as my own; I will give them the same effects, the same value; and they will do the same offices which I did on the Cross, before the Father and before souls. Even more, come, you yourself, onto the Cross – how happy we will be together, even in suffering. In fact, it is not the suffering that renders the creature unhappy; on the contrary, suffering makes her victorious, glorious, rich, beautiful. But she becomes unhappy when something is missing to her love. You, united with Me on the Cross, will be completely satisfied in love; your pains will be love; your life, love – all love; and therefore you will be happy!”
Prayer Meditation- O Lord, You are always with us in our sufferings and pains and we never lose hope because Your Love is poured into our hearts! Let nothing be missing in our love- please love through us!

Were Not Our Hearts Burning Within Us
What would I not give to you? Ask! Just ask! I will make
up royally for your lunch. I offer the stream of My Heart’s love to
all who discover My hand asking for help. (He confided so much
about what concerned me.) Now I fill your heart with the feeling of My Divinity. Oh, that we might gather together as much as possible. (Jesus) (October 18, 1962)
Today’s Readings: Were not our hearts burning within us while He spoke on the way and opened the Scriptures to us? (Luke 24)
Prayer Meditation: O Lord as we walk the road with You may You come along beside us and open the Scriptures to us! Even when we don’t recognize You, You are always speaking to us and knocking on the door of our hearts (Revelation 3). But are we listening or are we stuck in whatever is in our heads- our grief, our fears, our anxieties and our own ideas about You? May You open our hearts to Your Word and may we always recognize You in the breaking of the bread! O Lord our hearts burn within us with the fire of Your Love!
Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” She thought it was the gardener and said to him, “Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you laid him, and I will take him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni,” which means Teacher.(John 20)
Volume 2-October 28, 1899
“What is my Love for you? And what is your requital for Me?” Now, while at the first words I would have wanted to flee, frightened, from His presence, at these second words – “what is my Love for you?” – I found myself sunken, bound by His Love from all sides; so, my existence was a product of His Love – if this Love ceased, I would no longer exist. It seemed to me that the beats of my heart, my intelligence, and even my breath, were a product of His Love. I was swimming in Him, and even if I wanted to flee, it seemed impossible for me to do it, because His Love surrounded me everywhere. My love, then, seemed like a little drop of water thrown into the sea, which disappears and can no longer be distinguished. How many things I comprehended – but if I wanted to tell them I would be too long. Then Jesus disappeared, and I was left all confused. I saw myself all sin, and in my interior I implored forgiveness and mercy. After a little while my only Good came back; I felt all soaked with bitterness and sorrow for my sins, and He told me: “My daughter, when a soul is convinced that she has done evil in offending Me, she already performs the office of Magdalene, who bathed my feet with her tears, anointed them with balm, and dried them with her hair. When the soul begins to look into herself at the evil she has done, she prepares a bath for my wounds. In seeing her evil, she receives bitterness and feels sorrow for it, and by this she comes to anoint my wounds with a most exquisite balm. From this knowledge, the soul would want to make a reparation, and in seeing her past ingratitude, she feels love arise within her toward a God so good, and she would want to lay down her life to attest her love; and this is the hair which, like many gold chains, binds her to my Love.”
Prayer Meditation- O Lord, we bless You, we adore You and we thank You not only for the mercy shown to sinners like Mary Magdalene- in fact sinners like me but how You reward repentance, love and faithfulness with the fullness of Your Resurrection! Let love arise in us for a God so good and bind us to Your Love!

Why Are We Weeping
“It seems to Me that you have forgotten that I already pronounced
these words when I was carrying My Cross, and the holy
women were weeping for Me more than for their own sins. Again, I
ask pious souls to repent. Repent on behalf of others as well.” (Jesus) (November 10, 1964)
Today’s Readings: Jesus said to her, “Woman, why are you weeping? Whom are you looking for?” She thought it was the gardener and said to him, “Sir, if you carried him away, tell me where you laid him, and I will take him.” Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to him in Hebrew, “Rabbouni,” (John 20)
Prayer Meditation- Lord it is easy in these times to feel a bit like Mary Magdalene. Like the Magdalene, we do not recognize You even though You have never left us and if we listen closely enough, we will be able to hear You softly call our name. Lord, today, fill us with Your Peace and Your Presence which You never deny to anyone who calls to You in faith and let us turn to You and contemplate You truly alive! Alive in our lives and in our world right now. Jesus may we use these times to grow closer to You, rid us of what does not belong to You, as we offer our prayers for the salvation of souls!
Trusting souls are the outpouring and the amusement of the love of Jesus.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own insight. (Proverbs 3:5)
Volume 11, April 10, 1912
Continuing in my usual state, blessed Jesus came for just a little, and told me: “My daughter, the souls who will shine the most, like bright gems in the crown of my mercy, are the souls who have more trust, because the more trust they have, the more they give space for the attribute of my Mercy to pour into them any grace they want. On the other hand, the soul who does not have true trust, herself closes the graces within Me, remaining always poor and unequipped, while my love remains constrained within Me, and I suffer very much. And in order not to suffer so much, and to be able to pour out my love more freely, I deal more with those souls who trust than with the others. With these I can pour out my love, I can play, I can cause loving contrasts, since there is no worry that they might take offense or become fearful; on the contrary, they become more brave and take everything in order to love Me more. Therefore, trusting souls are the outpouring and the amusement of my love, the ones who receive more graces, and the richest.”
Prayer- Jesus I trust In You, that is the prayer You taught St. Faustina and what You want most from us! Lord pour out Your Mercy on us as we learn to trust You and love You more and more each day!

Go Tell
Make public all that I tell
you now: Make the sign of the Cross five times while thinking of
My Sacred Wounds. (Jesus) (April 8, 1962)
Today’s Readings: Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went away quickly from the tomb, fearful yet overjoyed, and ran to announce the news to his disciples. And behold, Jesus met them on their way and greeted them. They approached, embraced his feet, and did him homage. Then Jesus said to them, “Do not be afraid. Go tell my brothers to go to Galilee, and there they will see me.” (Matthew 28)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, we see the Holy Women, and we can marvel at their faithfulness. Rewarded for their faith, they are fearful and overjoyed as they gaze at the empty tomb. And then there You are and You tell them not to be afraid but to go tell the Apostles what they have seen. Lord, even in hard times, we know that You are the Risen Lord who tells us not to be afraid. And you so want us to tell others about the hope that is in us (1 Peter 3:15). That You died for us so that if we repent and believe in our hearts, we can attain salvation, a free gift of Your Amazing Grace! (Romans 10:9). So, Lord, let us run like those faithful women to tell our brothers and sisters the good news of the Gospel- whether it be by word or by our loving actions toward others because He is Risen and He Lives!
