The Fifth Day in the Octave of Christmas

Revealed by the Holy Spirit- Seeing Salvation with Our Own Eyes

By His sigh, the Lord Jesus allowed a faint light to enter my heart and it revealed the worth of my suffering. When the sigh that I felt coming from afar crossed my heart, I felt the Spirit of Power act intensely in my heart. (Elizabeth) (May 15, 1965)

Today’s Readings: Now there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon. This man was righteous and devout, awaiting the consolation of Israel, and the Holy Spirit was upon him. It had been revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he should not see death before he had seen the Christ of the Lord. (Luke 2)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, many of us have things or events we would like to see before we die. It could be our children happy and on their own, the birth of grandchildren, or retirement with time to finally travel or pursue a passion that we don’t have time for right now. Some of us call these things a “bucket list”. Yet Lord, we are not guaranteed any of these things but we are promised that no matter what life brings us You will be with us and will bring worth to even our suffering. I don’t know if Simeon would have called seeing and holding the Christ Child the answer to his personal bucket list but it was indeed a fulfilled promise made to him by the Holy Spirit! Simeon and many others in that time prayed for the time of their salvation to be fulfilled! And we too are asked to pray and to hope in Your Salvation already revealed to us- may we like Simeon see Your Promises fulfilled in us as we journey in this life toward the next!

God With Us — December 17, 2025

God With Us

God With Us

Thursday of the Third Week of Advent

God With Us

Mary: “My little one, my Flame of Love has become so incandescent that I want to spread on you not only its light, but also its warmth with all its power. My Flame of Love is so great that I can no longer keep it within me; it leaps out at you with explosive force. My love that is spreading will overcome the satanic hatred that contaminates the world so that the greatest number of souls is saved from damnation. I am confirming there has never been anything like this before. This is my greatest miracle ever I am accomplishing for all.(Mary) (October 19, 1962)

Today’s Readings:

Behold, the virgin shall be with child and bear a son,
and they shall name him Emmanuel, which means “God is with us.” (Matthew 1)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, You are with us always as You have promised and You will never leave us.  O Lord, we can be fearful of taking Mary into our homes  because we know it will be life changing because it is through the Holy Spirit that You will again be born in our homes and in our hearts if we really let You in this Christmas. And it is this “Flame of Love” of Your Heart that You want to ignite in ours so that You would truly reign on Earth as You do in Heaven! Will we truly let You be our Emmanuel, God with us, or will be just be caught up in all that we have to do this week and wonder where it all went when we gather up the torn wrapping paper and clean up the Christmas meal on Christmas night? Will we be still and know that You are God, made small and helpless for us so that we would be free? Will we take You to our holiday gatherings, the only Jesus some may ever see?  Thank You Lord for the Grace of the Flame of Love for this time and this world that is so in need of You, may we respond with our fiat that You would indeed reign in us and reign in all the Earth this Christmas!

Awake-Put On Christ This Advent

Awake- Put On Christ This Advent

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

First Sunday of Advent

Awake- Put On Christ This Advent

“Many souls are asleep like yours was. I also want to give to them the life-giving rays of my maternal heart, the effect of the grace of my Flame of Love.” (Mary) (May 19, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Brothers and sisters:
You know the time;
it is the hour now for you to awake from sleep.
For our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed;
the night is advanced, the day is at hand. (Romans 13)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today, this First Day of Advent, we turn our attention not to Your First Coming but to Your Second. So many of us get all caught up in the end of the world- either anxiously trying to read the signs or thinking it is some far distant event. But neither posture is what You want from us because no matter when the End is, our end will come sooner than we may think. And how many of us are just sleep walking through life- caught up in our own sins, faults, failures, hang-ups, and weaknesses or just busying ourselves to the point where we are numb to Your Voice and Your Call. Advent is the time to wake up! Let us examine ourselves and make ourselves ready to meet You- purified of all that does not belong to You. The sure way to do this is total surrender to Your Divine Providence- most of us don’t have to make up some new mortifications because life itself is mortification if offered with loving acceptance and trust to the God who yearns for us to walk in freedom for eternity. Mother Mary with Your Spouse the Holy Spirit, help us to put on Christ as Saint Paul asks us so that we would be armored in light, the light of the world!

Blessed Is She — May 30, 2025

Blessed Is She

Blessed Is She

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

Blessed Is She

Mary: “My little Carmelite, intensify your desire so that my Flame of Love will be put into action. Make even greater sacrifices.” It is with these very words that she spoke to me. She also repeated them on the feast of her Visitation. Mary: “Offer me greater sacrifices. Do not ask how, just improvise!” (July 30, 1962)

Today’s Readings: “Most blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb. And how does this happen to me, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? For at the moment the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the infant in my womb leaped for joy. Blessed are you who believed that what was spoken to you by the Lord would be fulfilled.” (Luke 1)

Prayer Meditation: Lord, we bless You, and thank You, and adore You because today is the feast of the Visitation of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Elizabeth. She brought You Lord Jesus to Elizabeth and to the child in her womb, John the Baptist, and She brings You Lord Jesus now to each one of us because we became Her Children at the foot of the Cross! Lord, I love to imagine at certain times in our family’s life that Mary has indeed moved in to help- times of illness, weddings, the birth of our grandchild. during my husband’s cancer treatment, and now in widowhood.  I have asked Her to come visit and She always comes bringing Your Peace and Joy! Lord may we let Her into our hearts and our homes, She who believed what was spoken to Her by You, so that we would live by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7). Let us imitate our Mother Mary in faith, hope, and charity letting Her form us so we can carry Her Flame of Love, You, Jesus Himself, to others!

No Such Thing As Impossible — December 23, 2024

No Such Thing As Impossible

No Such Thing As Impossible

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Christmas Eve

No Such Thing As Impossible

Jesus: “You please Me a great deal at this moment. You ask why? Continue to do you your best. What did your guardian angel tell you? Increase the adoration and homage to the Holy Majesty of God. You see how by your resolve to examine your conscience every hour, your soul is refined to become more apt to immerse itself in God and worship Him. Your homage also is greatly gaining in standing with the Holy Majesty of God. This proposition on your part requires a very great peaceful contemplation. But to the one who loves, nothing is impossible. (Jesus) (September 24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Therefore. the child to be born will be called holy, the Son of God. And behold, Elizabeth, your relative, has also conceived a son in her old age, and this is the sixth month for her who was called barren; for nothing will be impossible for God.” (Luke 1)

Prayer Meditation- Lord we know with You that nothing is impossible! You are a God who keeps His Promises including the Promise of a Savior born of a Virgin come to set us free! Lord so many of us come to You with hearts that long for something- a hole that all the presents in the world cannot fill! Maybe like Elizabeth it is infertility and longing for a child or maybe it is the illness of a family member, or children away from You, or maybe it is the empty seat of the loved one who now rests in Your Arms who we miss with an ache in our hearts. Lord some of our longings can seem so impossible to fill- so many wounds of the heart but Lord help us to fix our eyes on the Manger! For unto us a child is born and he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace! Fill us Lord tonight as we adore You!

Emmanuel — December 19, 2024

Emmanuel

Emmanuel

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Friday of the Third Week of Advent

Emmanuel

At this moment, the bells began to ring for the Angelus. I wanted to begin this prayer that honors the Blessed Virgin, but she intervened. Mary: “Now, your prayer must be to pay attention to my words. Meditate on them with your mind as a sign of your veneration. (Elizabeth/Mary) (December 12, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Therefore the Lord himself will give you this sign:
the virgin shall conceive and bear a son,
and shall name him Emmanuel. (Isaiah 7)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord, what a beautiful announcement today in today’s Gospel, the Annunciation, when the Word became flesh and dwelt among us! Thank You Blessed Mother for being attentive to God’s Will and giving Your Fiat to the Incarnation. Lord, we are often given signs, and like King Ahaz in the first reading we can be purposely dense and even show false humility, not believing You would ever speak to us, when really we are just tuned out and ill disposed. How weary we must make You at times Lord when all You want to do is live among the sons of men (Revelations 21:3), Emmanuel, God with us! Lord may we listen to the Blessed Mother, especially in the beautiful words of The Angelus, and meditate on them as a sign back to You of our veneration and our love! Because You are our Emmanuel- wonderful counselor, Lord of life, Lord of all, Prince of Peace, mighty God, Holy One, Emmanuel! (Michael W. Smith/Amy Grant)

Rejoice I Say! — December 15, 2024

Rejoice I Say!

Rejoice I Say!

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Third Sunday of Advent

Rejoice I Say!

Then I spent a long time before Him. I cannot describe the joy that I felt through the words of the Lord. (Elizabeth) (September 4, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Brothers and sisters:

Rejoice in the Lord always. I shall say it again: rejoice! Your kindness should be known to all. The Lord is near. Have no anxiety at all, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, make your requests known to God. Then the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we thank You for this special Sunday in Advent. For on this Gaudete Sunday, we start to see the rose light of dawn in the darkness as we wait and long for You! Lord, this time of year especially can bring anxiety and worry for many reasons- but Lord set us free from those chains as we pray and praise You with thanksgiving! Because You are always near, whether we can feel You near or not. Let us speak these healing words over our lives today!
