Joy In Heaven

Joy In Heaven

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Thirty First Week of Ordinary Time

Joy in Heaven

Our Lady allowed me to feel in my soul the wonderful union of the saints. I was filled with an indescribable joy. (Elizabeth) (November 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: ‘Rejoice with me because I have found my lost sheep.’ I tell you, in just the same way there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous people who have no need of repentance.(Luke 15)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, how much joy there is in Heaven when a sinner repents, when we repent and we seek the lost! Lord help us to practice the spiritual works of mercy daily- and if all we can do is pray, help us to remember that to pray is to do something! Praying for the living and the dead is a spiritual work of mercy anyone can do no matter the circumstances in our lives! Lord, help us to know Your reckless love for us and help us show it to others ,especially those You have given us to bring to Heaven!

Emptying Ourselves — November 4, 2024

Emptying Ourselves

Emptying Ourselves

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Thirty First Week of Ordinary Time

Emptying Ourselves

Oh, you fools! If you could only feel the immense pain your pious indifference causes to My Divine Heart. I am the Victim and it was not by pious attitudes but only by a continual acceptance of sacrifices that I brought about My redemptive work. Repent! Repent! Repent! This is what I am asking you. The voice of repentance reaches up to the throne of My heavenly Father. It is the voice holding back the arm of justice of My Father.” (Jesus) (November 8, 1964)

Today’s Readings: Brothers and sisters:
Have among yourselves the same attitude
that is also yours in Christ Jesus,
Who, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God
something to be grasped.
Rather, he emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
coming in human likeness;
and, found human in appearance,
he humbled himself,
becoming obedient to death,
even death on a cross. (Philippians 2)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You are God Alone and You came to Earth as fully man and fully God. And yet You humbled Yourself making Yourself a slave of all, humbling Yourself -fully obedient to the Will of the Father. You did not come as a religious leader nor did You look for any honors but You continually accepted sacrifices ultimately leading to You laying down Your life for us. So let us empty ourselves of any pride or vainglory because no matter how pious and good we believe we may be the fact is we are nothing and You are all! Lord Jesus, we bow down at the sound of Your Holy Name and we repent and turn to You who alone can redeem and sanctify us!

Not Great Things But Small — November 3, 2024

Not Great Things But Small

Not Great Things But Small

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Charles Borromeo

Not Great Things But Small

“Why do you prefer some passing goal? Do you not trust the value of sufferings? I give value to your sufferings and it causes me sorrow if you do not appreciate them. I would think that you are not accepting them with love. Without love, even great things have no value. (Jesus) (August 16, 1962)

Today’s Readings: O LORD, my heart is not proud, nor are my eyes haughty; I busy not myself with great things, nor with things too sublime for me. (Psalm 131)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, the daily readings have been about humility. About doing nothing out of selfishness and vainglory (Philippians 2) but putting others first. About caring about those who cannot repay us (Luke 14). This way is counter to the world. Even those of us on a spiritual path, we want to do great things! But You are not asking great things from us but small things done with great love! Lord, help us to accept our sufferings and put ourselves last in service to our neighbor, particularly our families. Help us to serve each other with Mary’s Heart as we see You in all that we meet!

With All of Our Strength — November 2, 2024

With All of Our Strength

With All Of Our Strength

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thirty First Sunday of Ordinary Time

With All of Our Strength

Therefore, renounce yourself completely with all your strength and all your will. You must serve only Me. No one else and nothing else now exist for you. Only I.” (Jesus) (September 1, 1962)

Today’s Readings: “Hear, O Israel! The LORD is our God, the LORD alone! Therefore, you shall love the LORD, your God, with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength. Take to heart these words which I enjoin on you today.” (Deuteronomy 6)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You have told us in today’s Gospel the meaning of all the commandments. Love of You and love of neighbor which flows from love of You. We love You in others made in Your likeness and image. Even when we don’t feel like it, because it is all in the will and not in our feelings. Lord, please think in our thinking, breathe in our breathing, speak in our speaking so that it is Your Love living in us and not our own poor love which is subject to our whims and moods because we are waves tossed by the wind (James 1:6) when left to our own devices.  Lord, help us to give our all- all of our heart, soul, and strength to serve only You! As for me and my house, we will serve The Lord! (Joshua 24:15)

Grace And Mercy Are With His Holy Ones — November 1, 2024

Grace And Mercy Are With His Holy Ones

Grace and Mercy Are With His Holy Ones

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

The Commemoration of All The Faithful Departed

Grace and Mercy Are With His Holy Ones

“Let all your actions be done with the purpose of helping them in union with Me, desire that these souls contemplate My face as early as possible. Offer for them the strict fast as well as prayer during a part of the night.” (Jesus) (April 10, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Those who trust in him shall understand truth,
and the faithful shall abide with him in love:
because grace and mercy are with his holy ones,
and his care is with his elect. (Wisdom 3)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we remember all the faithful departed including those who are part of the Church Suffering. Because we cannot yet enter Heaven with “baggage” on our souls. The baggage as the Church teaches is the effect of forgiven sins and remaining venial sins and faults. Do we hold onto anger, unforgiveness, negativity, over attachment to the goods of this world, selfishness? If we can’t leave it behind, it will have to be burned away in that place of Your Mercy so that we are perfected in love. Perfect love drives out fear (1 John 4:18). Lord, Your will is that we become Your kind of perfect- not what the world calls perfect. And as St. Therese has taught us You can purify us in an instant- but we have to be open to grace. How many of us just get stuck and lack the love and trust to turn to You in total childlike dependence? Lord today, let us especially examine ourselves to see where we can be perfected in love and let us pray and sacrifice for the faithful departed including our deceased family members and friends offering them the charity we lacked when they were among us. Because we are all one Church and we will abide with You in love because grace and mercy are with Your holy ones and Jesus we trust in You!

Made White In The Blood Of The Lamb — October 31, 2024

Made White In The Blood Of The Lamb

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Solemnity of All Saints

Made White in the Blood of the Lamb- All Saints Day

“Then I humbly hid Myself under a common appearance so as to be more accessible to you, so that you would not fear Me. I hid Myself in the white Host like a child wrapped up in swaddling clothes. When I enter your heart, make sure that the robe of your soul is free from any stain or tear, because no father has made greater sacrifices to acquire a suit for his child.” (Jesus) (May 1962)

Today’s Readings: “Who are these wearing white robes, and where did they come from?”
I said to him, “My lord, you are the one who knows.”
He said to me,
“These are the ones who have survived the time of great distress;
they have washed their robes
and made them white in the Blood of the Lamb.” (Revelation 7)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we honor all the Saints, all the ones who made it- the great cloud of witnesses that cheers us on from Heaven including we pray our family members who have come before. The ordinary people saved by grace who have washed their robes and made them white in Your Precious Blood. Lord, as we think of all the great saints, including our patron saints perhaps, we see their great deeds and we may feel like we may never get there. But Lord, as St. Therese has taught us and as St Faustina and the Divine Mercy devotion has shown us it has never been easier to be a saint! Because we have been given especially in these times every spiritual blessing (Ephesians 1:3). But do we desire holiness or are we content with mediocrity? Let us examine ourselves and place ourselves in the Holy Hands of Our Mother Mary who will fashion us into saints, as St. Louis Marie de Montfort says, by placing us in Her mold as she fashions us into Your Likeness. As St. John tells us today, we shall be like You because we will finally see You as You are, so let us make ourselves pure as You are pure as we hope in You with all of our hearts!

Battle Ready! — October 30, 2024

Battle Ready!

Battle Ready!

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Thirtieth Week of Ordinary Time

Battle Ready!

The Evil One has me so confused that I say the Rosary with my lips, but not as I usually do. Instead, I keep repeating, “I believe in you, O miraculous Virgin.” I only say this with my lips, but my mind and my heart refuse to accept it. I want to cry for not being able to believe. The Evil One insists that this is my interpretation. With all my strength, I resist his intrusions.  (Elizabeth) (September 7-8, 1962)

Today’s Readings:

Brothers and sisters:
Draw your strength from the Lord and from his mighty power.
Put on the armor of God so that you may be able to stand firm
against the tactics of the Devil.
For our struggle is not with flesh and blood
but with the principalities, with the powers,
with the world rulers of this present darkness,
with the evil spirits in the heavens.
Therefore, put on the armor of God,
that you may be able to resist on the evil day (Ephesians 6)

Prayer Meditation: Lord, every day is a battle! We fight not flesh and blood but the enemy of our souls! Lord may we do a daily wardrobe check- helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness, belt of truth, shoes of peace, shield of faith to fight off the darts of the enemy, and the sword of the Spirit which is Your Word spoken out loud! Train our hands for battle Lord (Psalm 144)- and may our hands hold firmly to the Holy Rosary, the weapon for our times!

Our Purpose In Life — October 28, 2024

Our Purpose In Life

Our Purpose In Life

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the Thirtieth Week of Ordinary Time

Our Purpose In Life

You know, do you not, that I invited you to My private war camp? Do not be attracted by the passing comfort of this world. The coming of My Kingdom must be your only purpose in life. My words will reach a multitude of souls consecrated to Me. Trust! My grace will be with you and I will help all of you in a miraculous way.” (Jesus) (August 8, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Today’s Readings: Jesus said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? To what can I compare it? It is like a mustard seed that a man took and planted in the garden. When it was fully grown, it became a large bush and ‘the birds of the sky dwelt in its branches.’ (Luke 13)

Prayer Meditation- Lord Your Kingdom starts small- little seeds that grow in our hearts and souls. Some of us are blessed to have been baptized and brought up in the faith. Others have come into the Kingdom later in life. The Kingdom grows in us slowly watered by Your Grace as we grow in virtue from glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18) if we do our part and allow You to change us. Lord, grow the Kingdom each day in our hearts and in our family members as we sow seeds of faith into the hearts of those we love! Let it be our only purpose in life that with Your Grace we will fight with You as Children of the King to save souls!

Chosen And Loved — October 27, 2024

Chosen And Loved

Chosen And Loved

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Feast of Saint Simon and Saint Jude

Chosen and Loved

You, My little one, must stir up the fire because you have been chosen for this. This is a great privilege. Never interrupt your desires and sacrifices because this would cause My Mother great sorrow.” (Jesus) (July 12, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Brothers and sisters:
You are no longer strangers and sojourners,
but you are fellow citizens with the holy ones
and members of the household of God,
built upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets. (Ephesians 2)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, as we celebrate the Feast of Saint Simon and Jude we meditate on what is means to be chosen for Your work of redemption. Because we are not strangers to You but members of Your household built upon the Apostolic foundation of the those who have gone before, fellow citizens with the saints. So let us stir up the fire in our hearts because we have been chosen by You to spread Your Kingdom on Earth no matter our state in life. All are called to desire this Kingdom to come into our hearts and into our families and to make loving sacrifices, as simple as a smile when we don’t feel like it or a sharp word held back out of love for You, because we are chosen and loved!

Take Courage-Jesus Calling — October 26, 2024

Take Courage-Jesus Calling

Take Courage-Jesus Is Calling

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thirtieth Sunday of Ordinary Time

Take Courage- Jesus Is Calling

Jesus: “Do you realize how many times I take you by the hand?

I lead you so that you are not timid. The abundant grace that gives you strength and courage is Myself. My clarity lights the rocky roads that you must walk. This light, which keeps you from walking blindly, reminds you that I walked a similar road. All do not walk this road in the same spirit as you do. Many are without light.” (Jesus) (July 22-23, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Take courage; get up, Jesus is calling you.”
He threw aside his cloak, sprang up, and came to Jesus.
Jesus said to him in reply, “What do you want me to do for you?”
The blind man replied to him, “Master, I want to see.”
Jesus told him, “Go your way; your faith has saved you.”  (Mark 10)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, many of us, though maybe not physically blind like Bartimaeus in today’s Gospel, are walking blindly and without light. Rocky roads does not even begin to describe what many of us may be walking through- and yet we are reminded that You walked a similar road as You are not a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses but one who has been similarly tested in every way, yet without sin. (Hebrews 4:15). So let us take courage because You are calling us more times than we even realize- You take us by the hand and give us the abundant grace we need, the strength and courage to keep walking. Let us not to be afraid to tell You that we want to see, that we want to be well and to be healed with confidence knowing that we walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7) and that You will light the road ahead a little at a time.
