Divine Mercy Sunday

If We Are The Body (ABC’s)

Jesus said, “All of you have been called to My work of salvation, fathers and mothers, learned and ignorant, the well and the sick. All can work for Me, the free man and the one suffering in prison. What is important is the availability of the soul and the spiritual freedom which constitutes the culture of the soul.” (Jesus) (May 24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Yet more than ever, believers in the Lord, great numbers of men and women, were added to them. Thus they even carried the sick out into the streets and laid them on cots and mats so that when Peter came by, at least his shadow might fall on one or another of them. A large number of people from the towns in the vicinity of Jerusalem also gathered, bringing the sick and those disturbed by unclean spirits ,and they were all cured.(Acts 5)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, sometimes we can wonder as we read the Acts of the Apostles, why does it seem that the Church is not healing and not converting? There is a Casting Crowns song, if we are the body, why aren’t His Arms reaching, why aren’t His Hands healing, why aren’t His Words teaching? The answer Lord is found in the ABC’s of Divine Mercy and we can begin today- Ask for mercy, Be merciful, Completely trust in Your Divine Mercy! Lord if even a few of us, no matter our state of life, lived the ABC’s in deeds as we are able, words, and prayer the Gospel will indeed be reaching, healing and teaching through us!

Why Are You Troubled? — April 23, 2025

Why Are You Troubled?

Why Are You Troubled?

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday in the Octave of Easter

Why Are You Troubled?

I see that you are dwelling on these thoughts, so I will answer your inner questions. Obviously, I do not call everyone in the same manner. I expect more from the one who has received more. But this is not the most important thing for you. The essential is to make sacrifices on behalf of those you want to lead along My road.” (Jesus) (March 11, 1964)

Today’s Readings: “Peace be with you.”
But they were startled and terrified
and thought that they were seeing a ghost.
Then he said to them, “Why are you troubled?
And why do questions arise in your hearts?
Look at my hands and my feet, that it is I myself.
Touch me and see, because a ghost does not have flesh and bones
as you can see I have.”

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we see You in the upper room with the Apostles after You have risen. They have no idea what to expect and they feel all of their brokenness and weakness. What will You say- what will You do? Lord we can be startled and terrified in the presence of Your Majesty. But You are not mad us- You are not out to get us! So why are we troubled and why do we question You with such lack of trust in You- the God who bore our infirmities and nailed them to the Cross? Lord, You told St. Faustina that our sins do not wound You as much as our lack of trust does. Jesus, we trust in You and we surrender to You- let us bring all our questions to the throne of Grace!

As A Shepherd Guards His Flock — April 11, 2025

As A Shepherd Guards His Flock

As A Shepherd Guards His Flock

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Saturday of the Fifth Week of Lent

As A Shepherd Guards His Flock

Prostrate yourselves at the feet of My Holy Cross and let My Precious Blood fall upon you. The drops of My Blood are a blank check in your hands; you need only to collect it. This check is valid until the end of the world. The soul that lives in God’s grace can cash it anywhere, at any time until death, even if she ignores the day. As frequently as possible, each soul must make use of this check, which is the ransom paid by My Precious Blood. (Jesus) (February 22, 1964)

Today’s Readings: The LORD shall ransom Jacob,
he shall redeem him from the hand of his conqueror.
Shouting, they shall mount the heights of Zion,
they shall come streaming to the LORD’s blessings:
The grain, the wine, and the oil,
the sheep and the oxen. (Jeremiah 31)

Prayer Meditation- Lord we read today in Jeremiah that You are the Shepherd who guards and redeems His Flock. And You ask us to journey with You every step of the way as we enter Holy Week. Because if we walk with You, we will see how every tear, every insult, every assault on Your Most Holy Person, every drop of blood You shed was for every single one of us so that so that all would be redeemed at a price we could never pay. And You just want us to worship and adore You with hearts full of thanksgiving and love because we were bought at a price (1 Corinthians 7:23), no longer slaves.

Reckless Love Of God — March 29, 2025

Reckless Love Of God

Reckless Love Of God

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Fourth Sunday of Lent

Reckless Love of God

During the morning, the Blessed Virgin lamented with heart breaking grief that many souls were being lost due to the lack of understanding caused by superficiality. ‘My little one, I want that not one soul be damned. You should want this together with me. For this purpose, I place in your hands a beam of light that is the Flame of Love of my heart.’” (Mary) (September 15, 1962)

Today’s Readings: While he was still a long way off, his father caught sight of him, and was filled with compassion. He ran to his son, embraced him and kissed him. His son said to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against heaven and against you; I no longer deserve to be called your son.’ But his father ordered his servants, ‘Quickly bring the finest robe and put it on him; put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet. Take the fattened calf and slaughter it. Then let us celebrate with a feast, because this son of mine was dead, and has come to life again; (Luke 15)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, how many prodigals today, how many away from faith. How many today just live their lives on the surface, not understanding that they are meant for Eternity? Yet, Lord, You wait and when You see  make one small move toward You, here You come running  with Your Mercy and Your Grace! It is pure gift! Lord, we have all been lost one way or another at one time, help us who are “found” to pray the more fervently for those who need to know Your Reckless Love!

Teach Us To Pray — March 10, 2025

Teach Us To Pray

Teach Us To Pray

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Tuesday of the First Week of Lent

Teach Us To Pray

“One Our Father or one Hail Mary prayed in the midst of spiritual dryness is much more fruitful than exuberant prayers of someone who abounds in spiritual favors.” (Jesus) (May 2, 1962)

Today’s Readings: “Our Father, who are in heaven. Hallowed be your name. Your Kingdom come, Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day, our daily bread. Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.” (Matthew 6)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, there was a time in my life when I was anxious about many things (Luke 11) and I cried to You in frustration in my many words- I wish there was just one prayer that said it all! Then it hit me- there is! We so often take the Our Father, which most of us learned as children, for granted. But if we truly meditate on what we are praying we find that You have given us all we need to live in union with You! Lord, help us to seek Your Will in all thing and  to receive our daily bread at Mass if we can, or in spiritual communion, and in  reading Your Word. Lord forgive us for all the times we have missed it and have sinned and help us to forgive others as You always forgive us. Help us to persevere in all trials and temptations in confidence knowing You will not let us be tried beyond our strength (1 Corinthians 10). Let us pray this prayer daily with intention and we will find You have given us all that we need!

Now Is The Acceptable Time For Salvation — March 5, 2025

Now Is The Acceptable Time For Salvation

Now is the Acceptable Time for Salvation

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Ash Wednesday

Now is the Acceptable Time for Salvation

Accept faithfully the sacrifices that I ask of you for My Cause. Many ask repeatedly to share in My works, but when they must accept a sacrifice from My own hands, they are afraid of Me. (Jesus) (March 4-7, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Do not perform good deeds before men so you can be seen by them. If so, you will receive no reward from your heavenly Father. When you give an alms, do not blow a trumpet, as hypocrites do. They already have their reward. Give your alms in secret. Then, your Father, who sees in secret, will repay you. When you pray, go to your room and pray in secret. Your Father who sees in secret, will repay you. (Matthew 6)

Prayer Meditation- Now is the acceptable time the Second Reading says today, the time for salvation. It is Ash Wednesday ready or not- time to accept faithfully the sacrifices the Church asks of us. Prayer, fasting, almsgiving. It can seem overwhelming but You see our hearts. Lord, help us to seek You in silence so that we would understand the inner movements of our hearts and Your Will for us this Lent. Help us to accept the sacrifices You are asking of us- is it  chocolate or anger, wine or fear, candy or worry- or is it a little of all of these alternatives. Lord let us lay down the little pebbles of our will- living in Your Divine Will is the sanctity of sanctities  but it requires dying to whatever is in the way so we can rise again perfected in Your Love and Grace this Easter.

Let The Children Come — March 1, 2025

Let The Children Come

Let The Children Come

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Saturday of the Seventh Week of Ordinary Time

Let The Children Come

Let your soul be filled with prayers of sacrifice, even on your days of rest. Offer these days especially for the young. Even when my Most Holy Son was tired, He wanted the children to come to Him. That is why you also must never be tired. You know, it is Him who asked you to continually share in His work of Redemption.” (Mary)  (May 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: People were bringing children to Jesus that he might touch them,
but the disciples rebuked them.
When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them,
“Let the children come to me; do not prevent them,
for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Amen, I say to you,
whoever does not accept the Kingdom of God like a child
will not enter it.”
Then he embraced the children and blessed them,
placing his hands on them. (Mark 10)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we bless You, praise You and glorify You because You never ever turn children down- You always want the children to come to You! So different from the world that does not seem to value children and families anymore. You want all of us to come to You as little children- with trust and surrender, because if we do not we will not be able to enter the Kingdom. We are nothing, and You are all and You are Our Father who loves His children and we are all of His children! And You want us in these times to bring to You in prayer and sacrifice all of our children and young people so that they would know You, love You and serve You and life with You forever!

Loving Our Enemies — February 22, 2025

Loving Our Enemies

Loving Our Enemies

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Seventh Sunday in Ordinary Time

Loving Our Enemies

Many people in your neighborhood have known you for years. You have fought your great battles before their eyes. Many admire you and even your enemies speak of you with respect. I am pleased to hear that. (Mary) (November 19, 1962)

Today’s Readings: But rather, love your enemies and do good to them,
and lend expecting nothing back;
then your reward will be great
and you will be children of the Most High,
for he himself is kind to the ungrateful and the wicked.
Be merciful, just as your Father is merciful. (Luke 6)

Prayer Meditation- Today we have one of those hard teachings Lord, one that always sounds good in theory until it applies to a situation in our life. And our enemies are typically not surrounding armies as in the first reading today (1 Samuel 26) with King Saul and David where David showed mercy and respect but they are our family, our friends,  and our co-workers. The people we love the most and we feel should love us! Why did he say that, why did she do that, how could they- these are all the questions and little wounds we deal with every day. And yet You ask us to love and to do good- to not expect anything back because You Yourself show us mercy every day in our ingratitude and our sins. And You ask us to be merciful just as You are merciful. And all of this is hard, a great battle,  but our reward will be great because we are Your Children. So let us not put our trust in people (Psalm 118:8) but put our trust in You as You show us how to love all in our path with Your perfect Love.

I Don’t Want To Gain The Whole World And Lose My Soul — February 20, 2025

I Don’t Want To Gain The Whole World And Lose My Soul

I Don’t Want To Gain The Whole World And Lose My Soul

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Friday of the Sixth Week of Ordinary Time

I Don’t Want To Gain The Whole World And Lose My Soul

Many times I was walking around with teary eyes. My love for the Lord Jesus filled my eyes with tears of repentance. I did not want to turn my eyes towards the world ever again. I sought only silence so I could continually hear the Lord’s voice, because from that day on, He was the One speaking to me. (Elizabeth) (1961-1962)

Today’s Readings: Jesus summoned the crowd with his disciples and said to them,
“Whoever wishes to come after me must deny himself,
take up his cross, and follow me.
For whoever wishes to save his life will lose it,
but whoever loses his life for my sake
and that of the Gospel will save it.
What profit is there for one to gain the whole world
and forfeit his life?
What could one give in exchange for his life? (Mark 8)

Prayer Meditation-O Lord, how we all want to hold onto the things of this world. To save our lives- to live out our best lives right here and right now because we think that what we have here on this Earth and all we are striving for is all that there is. We want it all and Heaven too! But that is not what You have asked of us- You have asked us not to save our lives, but to lose them for Your sake- not to gain the whole world but to save our souls and have the true and abundant life You want us to have in You (John 10).  For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father but is of the world (1 John 2:16). But if we repent, which really just means turn around, and keep our eyes on You and not the world, and really seek Your Voice we will hear You speaking this real life into our souls! Lord, Lent is coming- it is not about chocolate or caffeine or too much wine, though if we are slaves to any of this it would be wise to fast from it, but it really is about us holding on to the little pebble of our wills for dear life when what You really want to give us is Your Divine Life reigning in us! So let us examine ourselves- what would it take for us to say on Easter Sunday, it is no longer I who lives but Christ who lives in me? (Galatians 2)? Let us ask You today in prayer to show us that little narrow path forward this Lent that You have for us as we take up our crosses and follow You, the God who loves us and has given everything for us!

Confessing Our Faults — February 14, 2025

Confessing Our Faults

Confessing Our Faults

Confessing Our Faults

“Many, many times, I experienced the repentance that the Lord’s mercy brought forth in my soul. I want to repent for my sins like no one ever has repented until now.” She would pray, “I want to love You like no converted sinner has ever loved You until now.” (Elizabeth) (Compendium Page 62)

Today’s Readings: Then I acknowledged my sin to you, my guilt I covered not. I said, “I confess my faults to the LORD,” and you took away the guilt of my sin. (Psalm 32)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord You have washed us in Your Blood and You offer Yourself to us every day in Your Word and Your Sacraments. O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of Mercy for us we trust in You! Lord help us not to hold anything back from You today because we owe You our lives- let us return love for the Love You have poured into our hearts!
