When God Seem Quiet

When God Seem Quiet

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Fifth Week of Ordinary Time

When God Seems Quiet

Since I never received an answer from the Lord, I suffered much. (Elizabeth) (August 22, 1963)

Today’s Readings: She replied and said to him, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” Then he said to her, “For saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.” When the woman went home, she found the child lying in bed and the demon gone. (Mark 7)

Today’s Readings: Lord there are times when we feel so desperate, like the woman in the Gospel. We ask, we plead- but we don’t seem to get an answer! Lord this can be so hard- this waiting to hear from You! But like the Canaanite woman when we persist and persevere- when we don’t hold back, when we come boldly to the Throne of Grace refusing to give up until we hear from You this increases our faith and our trust! Lord help us to be bold in our prayers- let us pray with faith and confidence knowing how You reward lively faith and that You will always answer us in Your time for our good!

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the Fifth Week of Ordinary Time

Filled with Good Things

For a long time, He allowed me to feel His presence filled with goodness and majesty. As an insignificant person, really less than nothing, I felt great emotion. I could only babble: “Depart from me, O Lord, I am a great sinner.” (Elizabeth) (August 16, 1962)

Today’s Readings: All creatures look to you to give them food in due time. When you give it to them, they gather it; when you open your hand, they are filled with good things .(Psalm 104)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we thank You and praise You because You always provide for our needs if we trust in You! You fill us with good things- not only for our temporal needs but You give us exactly what our souls need on a daily basis. Lord we are so unworthy of Your many gifts- let us always be filled with a spirit of gratitude and praise because You alone have done great things and Holy is Your Name!

Our Lady of Lourdes

Carried In Her Arms

After this, I was in such a state of mind that I almost did not have strength to walk. I felt that physical strength was no longer needed; only the strength of my soul carried me with the Blessed Virgin to travel the dark paved roads of Bethlehem.(August 31, 1962)

Today’s Readings: As nurslings, you shall be carried in her arms,
and fondled in her lap;
As a mother comforts her child,
so will I comfort you;
in Jerusalem you shall find your comfort. (Isaiah 66)

Prayer Meditation- Today we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary in her title as Our Lady of Lourdes. The Immaculate Conception came down from Heaven to a young girl to teach us, heal us, and restore us! There are times Lord that can be so tough- illness or caring for those who are ill. We can feel so overwhelmed. And yes we want healing but sometimes what we really need first is to be heard and to be held because the road can seem so dark. And yet Lord, Our Blessed Mother traveled many dark roads and she knows what it is like to be totally emptied of strength in the natural and yet Her Strength of Soul because of Her union with You at all times carried Her through. And She wants to carry us through, Her children, and bring us to Your Comfort and Peace which surpasses all understanding! (Philippians 4:7). Our Lady of Lourdes please intercede for us for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing in Jesus Name!

Memorial of Saint Scholastica

A Flash of Light

The look of His eyes is like a flash of lightening which lights up everything. (Elizabeth) (January 14, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Then God said,
“Let there be light,” and there was light.
God saw how good the light was. (Genesis 1)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord You are Light itself- the Universe was created and Your Light appeared. O Lord, though we see as in a glass darkly now (1 Corinthians 13) we will someday see the Light in Your Eyes- those Eyes that see everything about us and that love us so much! Lord illuminate our hearts, minds, and souls to see You with the eyes of love here on this Earth so that we can live in Your Light always! For we are children of the light and children of the day- Your Children now, and what we will be we do not know but we will be like You and see You as You are! (1 Thessalonians 5/1 John 3:2). Lord God we hope in You and trust in You, our Father forever who brings us out of darkness into Your Marvelous Light! (1 Peter 2:9) chosen and loved by You for all eternity!

Saturday of the Fourth Week in Ordinary Time

Come Away with Me

Jesus said, “Why do you think that I am far away, in the heights above you? Really, I am standing right now next to you.” While the Lord Jesus was talking, through these waves of special feelings, my soul experienced the Blessed Virgin with her captivating love, saying to the Lord Jesus, “She is my special one, also.” (Jesus/Mary) (April 7, 1965)

Today’s Readings: He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” (Mark 6)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we all need to hear those words from You- come away with Me! Oh Lord how we all need to rest in Your Sacred Heart! We can feel like You are so far away and yet You are always right there next to us in every moment of our day! My Adorable Jesus, We ask you to take us in spirit before your Eucharistic Presence throughout the world. Blessed Lady, Take us and place us where we belong in the Divine Fire. Share with us your Immaculate Conception.

Monday of the Fourth Week in Ordinary Time

Show and Tell

Jesus: “Do you know why I make you write about the different events in your life? Because these are reflections of My graces in your soul that you – I know it well – would never tell others. In this manner, I oblige you to write so all will see the Divine Work that I have done in your soul since your childhood” (July 24, 1965)

Today’s Readings: “Go home to your family and announce to them
all that the Lord in his pity has done for you.” (Mark 5)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, how can we ever repay You for Your Great Mercy towards us and how You have set us free from sin, misery and death! Lord You have given us supernatural life and have set us free from the chains that bound us! Each day through prayer, meditating on Your Word, and through the Sacraments guided by the Holy Spirit You have not left us orphans! Each day You are changing us into Your image from glory to glory to glory (2 Corinthians 3:18)! Lord help us to show and tell through our words and deeds all that You have done for us!

Memorial of Saint John Bosco

Sowing Seeds

If, eventually, you ask to speak and it is granted to you, may my power be with you. Let each word be like a seed planted so those listening produce an abundant harvest. (Mary) (July 26, 1971)

Today’s Readings: Jesus said to the crowds: “This is how it is with the Kingdom of God; it is as if a man were to scatter seed on the land and would sleep and rise night and day and the seed would sprout and grow, he knows not how. (Mark 4)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord, we do not know how the seed will grow or where it will take root, that is not our job. Our job is to be faithful to planting the seeds to spread Your Kingdom here on Earth. Mary’s Flame of Love will ignite many hearts so let The Spirit speak through us when the time is right (Matthew 10) as we sow the seeds of Your Kingdom here on Earth as it is in Heaven!

Be A Light — January 29, 2025

Be A Light

Be A Light

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Third Week in Ordinary Time

Be A Light

This drop of oil squeezed out by your sufferings, when united to My merits, will fall on those souls who still do not have a lamp. They will be astounded and will seek its cause, and they will find the road that leads to salvation.” (Jesus) (November 10, 1962)

Today’s Gospel: Jesus said to his disciples,
“Is a lamp brought in to be placed under a bushel basket
or under a bed,
and not to be placed on a lampstand?
For there is nothing hidden except to be made visible;
nothing is secret except to come to light.
Anyone who has ears to hear ought to hear. (Mark 4)

Prayer Meditation- Lord it seems like the darkness is winning. I sense discouragement all around- people are just beat down in the diabolical disorientation (Sister Lucia) that is our world today. And yet You have asked us to put our lamps on the lampstand- this is no time to retreat from being witnesses to the Gospel. There are so many souls who probably would not even know where they can find a lamp let alone how to light those lamps so that they can find their way to the narrow and  broken road that leads to You. Lord we feel crushed on all sides (2 Corinthians 4:8-10) but we cannot give into despair. Squeeze Lord every drop of oil from our sufferings united to Your merits to fall on the souls who are so lost so that they will indeed find this road that leads to salvation.

Whoever Does The Will of God — January 28, 2025

Whoever Does The Will of God

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Thomas Aquinas

Whoever Does The Will of God

For the teachings and inspirations of the Lord Jesus (of God the Holy Spirit), the Flame of Love of the Blessed Virgin prepares a road in our souls. If we refer to the Flame of Love, the Lord Jesus will enlighten our intellect to know what we must do, for example, how we can choose between two things and which is the most perfect and represents the Will of God. (Elizabeth) (July 11, 1975)

Today’s Readings: And looking around at those seated in the circle he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of God is my brother and sister and mother.” (Mark 3)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today You tell us that those who do Your Will are those who are Your true family. Rather than a rebuke to Our Blessed Mother, You were confirming She who always did Your Will perfectly. Lord, we strive to do Your Will but we fill our days and our heads with noise that drowns You out- it is only when we get still with You that we can even hope to hear You! Let us imitate Our Mother who pondered in Her Heart always and so was able to give Her Fiat to Your Holy Will which is love and mercy itself! Begin all your prayers in the presence of God.

The Word Of The Lord Is Perfect — January 26, 2025

The Word Of The Lord Is Perfect

The Word Of The Lord Is Perfect

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Third Sunday of Ordinary Time

The Word Of The Lord Is Perfect

I am your Master and I instruct you. I prepared Myself for three years of activity by thirty years of silence. Being your Master, and united with Me, you will also find wisdom. Speak only when I give you the signal, expressing yourself only in the way you have learned from Me, or in the manner I would say it Myself. In a word, imitate Me. You will see that just a few words can produce good abundant fruits in souls.” (August 16, 1962)

Today’s Readings: He came to Nazareth, where he had grown up,
and went according to his custom
into the synagogue on the sabbath day.
He stood up to read and was handed a scroll of the prophet Isaiah.
He unrolled the scroll and found the passage where it was written:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
                        because he has anointed me
to bring glad tidings to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.(Luke 1)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord we bless You, we thank You, we love You and we adore You not only because of Your public life and ministry but for the thirty years of silence where You lived the most ordinary life. As a matter of fact, so ordinary that when You came back to Your hometown, it was hard for your neighbors to recognize You as the Word Made Flesh, right before their eyes despite the miracles performed in Capernaum. And yet there You were, speaking life and hope to all who had ears to hear- to set the captives free and we are all captives of sin and death without You. You have come to heal us and restore us- to make us whole and brand new! And what do You ask of us- to run around saying whatever comes to mind, so full our ourselves, to convince others about the truth of the Gospel in our own steam and power? No, You ask us to imitate You- to learn and to be formed by You in the school of silence so that we can hear Your Voice. Because it is Your Voice that will tell us how to love others with Your Love- imitating You, so that our few words ,guided by the Holy Spirit will produce abundant fruit in souls! Yes Lord, Your law is perfect, Your decrees are trustworthy giving wisdom even to our simple souls so may the words our mouths and the thoughts of our hearts find favor in You, O Lord! (Psalm 19)
