Now Is The Acceptable Time For Salvation

Now is the Acceptable Time for Salvation

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Ash Wednesday

Now is the Acceptable Time for Salvation

Accept faithfully the sacrifices that I ask of you for My Cause. Many ask repeatedly to share in My works, but when they must accept a sacrifice from My own hands, they are afraid of Me. (Jesus) (March 4-7, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Do not perform good deeds before men so you can be seen by them. If so, you will receive no reward from your heavenly Father. When you give an alms, do not blow a trumpet, as hypocrites do. They already have their reward. Give your alms in secret. Then, your Father, who sees in secret, will repay you. When you pray, go to your room and pray in secret. Your Father who sees in secret, will repay you. (Matthew 6)

Prayer Meditation- Now is the acceptable time the Second Reading says today, the time for salvation. It is Ash Wednesday ready or not- time to accept faithfully the sacrifices the Church asks of us. Prayer, fasting, almsgiving. It can seem overwhelming but You see our hearts. Lord, help us to seek You in silence so that we would understand the inner movements of our hearts and Your Will for us this Lent. Help us to accept the sacrifices You are asking of us- is it  chocolate or anger, wine or fear, candy or worry- or is it a little of all of these alternatives. Lord let us lay down the little pebbles of our will- living in Your Divine Will is the sanctity of sanctities  but it requires dying to whatever is in the way so we can rise again perfected in Your Love and Grace this Easter.

Let The Children Come — March 1, 2025

Let The Children Come

Let The Children Come

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Saturday of the Seventh Week of Ordinary Time

Let The Children Come

Let your soul be filled with prayers of sacrifice, even on your days of rest. Offer these days especially for the young. Even when my Most Holy Son was tired, He wanted the children to come to Him. That is why you also must never be tired. You know, it is Him who asked you to continually share in His work of Redemption.” (Mary)  (May 4, 1962)

Today’s Readings: People were bringing children to Jesus that he might touch them,
but the disciples rebuked them.
When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them,
“Let the children come to me; do not prevent them,
for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Amen, I say to you,
whoever does not accept the Kingdom of God like a child
will not enter it.”
Then he embraced the children and blessed them,
placing his hands on them. (Mark 10)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord we bless You, praise You and glorify You because You never ever turn children down- You always want the children to come to You! So different from the world that does not seem to value children and families anymore. You want all of us to come to You as little children- with trust and surrender, because if we do not we will not be able to enter the Kingdom. We are nothing, and You are all and You are Our Father who loves His children and we are all of His children! And You want us in these times to bring to You in prayer and sacrifice all of our children and young people so that they would know You, love You and serve You and life with You forever!

When God Seem Quiet — February 12, 2025

When God Seem Quiet

When God Seem Quiet

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Fifth Week of Ordinary Time

When God Seems Quiet

Since I never received an answer from the Lord, I suffered much. (Elizabeth) (August 22, 1963)

Today’s Readings: She replied and said to him, “Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children’s scraps.” Then he said to her, “For saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter.” When the woman went home, she found the child lying in bed and the demon gone. (Mark 7)

Today’s Readings: Lord there are times when we feel so desperate, like the woman in the Gospel. We ask, we plead- but we don’t seem to get an answer! Lord this can be so hard- this waiting to hear from You! But like the Canaanite woman when we persist and persevere- when we don’t hold back, when we come boldly to the Throne of Grace refusing to give up until we hear from You this increases our faith and our trust! Lord help us to be bold in our prayers- let us pray with faith and confidence knowing how You reward lively faith and that You will always answer us in Your time for our good!

Carried In Her Arms — February 11, 2025

Our Lady of Lourdes

Carried In Her Arms

After this, I was in such a state of mind that I almost did not have strength to walk. I felt that physical strength was no longer needed; only the strength of my soul carried me with the Blessed Virgin to travel the dark paved roads of Bethlehem.(August 31, 1962)

Today’s Readings: As nurslings, you shall be carried in her arms,
and fondled in her lap;
As a mother comforts her child,
so will I comfort you;
in Jerusalem you shall find your comfort. (Isaiah 66)

Prayer Meditation- Today we honor the Blessed Virgin Mary in her title as Our Lady of Lourdes. The Immaculate Conception came down from Heaven to a young girl to teach us, heal us, and restore us! There are times Lord that can be so tough- illness or caring for those who are ill. We can feel so overwhelmed. And yes we want healing but sometimes what we really need first is to be heard and to be held because the road can seem so dark. And yet Lord, Our Blessed Mother traveled many dark roads and she knows what it is like to be totally emptied of strength in the natural and yet Her Strength of Soul because of Her union with You at all times carried Her through. And She wants to carry us through, Her children, and bring us to Your Comfort and Peace which surpasses all understanding! (Philippians 4:7). Our Lady of Lourdes please intercede for us for physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual healing in Jesus Name!

Come Away With Me — February 8, 2025

Come Away With Me

Come Away With Me

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Saturday of the Fourth Week in Ordinary Time

Come Away with Me

Jesus said, “Why do you think that I am far away, in the heights above you? Really, I am standing right now next to you.” While the Lord Jesus was talking, through these waves of special feelings, my soul experienced the Blessed Virgin with her captivating love, saying to the Lord Jesus, “She is my special one, also.” (Jesus/Mary) (April 7, 1965)

Today’s Readings: He said to them, “Come away by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” (Mark 6)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, we all need to hear those words from You- come away with Me! Oh Lord how we all need to rest in Your Sacred Heart! We can feel like You are so far away and yet You are always right there next to us in every moment of our day! My Adorable Jesus, We ask you to take us in spirit before your Eucharistic Presence throughout the world. Blessed Lady, Take us and place us where we belong in the Divine Fire. Share with us your Immaculate Conception.

The Word Of The Lord Is Perfect — January 26, 2025

The Word Of The Lord Is Perfect

The Word Of The Lord Is Perfect

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Third Sunday of Ordinary Time

The Word Of The Lord Is Perfect

I am your Master and I instruct you. I prepared Myself for three years of activity by thirty years of silence. Being your Master, and united with Me, you will also find wisdom. Speak only when I give you the signal, expressing yourself only in the way you have learned from Me, or in the manner I would say it Myself. In a word, imitate Me. You will see that just a few words can produce good abundant fruits in souls.” (August 16, 1962)

Today’s Readings: He came to Nazareth, where he had grown up,
and went according to his custom
into the synagogue on the sabbath day.
He stood up to read and was handed a scroll of the prophet Isaiah.
He unrolled the scroll and found the passage where it was written:
The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
                        because he has anointed me
to bring glad tidings to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to let the oppressed go free,
and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord.(Luke 1)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord we bless You, we thank You, we love You and we adore You not only because of Your public life and ministry but for the thirty years of silence where You lived the most ordinary life. As a matter of fact, so ordinary that when You came back to Your hometown, it was hard for your neighbors to recognize You as the Word Made Flesh, right before their eyes despite the miracles performed in Capernaum. And yet there You were, speaking life and hope to all who had ears to hear- to set the captives free and we are all captives of sin and death without You. You have come to heal us and restore us- to make us whole and brand new! And what do You ask of us- to run around saying whatever comes to mind, so full our ourselves, to convince others about the truth of the Gospel in our own steam and power? No, You ask us to imitate You- to learn and to be formed by You in the school of silence so that we can hear Your Voice. Because it is Your Voice that will tell us how to love others with Your Love- imitating You, so that our few words ,guided by the Holy Spirit will produce abundant fruit in souls! Yes Lord, Your law is perfect, Your decrees are trustworthy giving wisdom even to our simple souls so may the words our mouths and the thoughts of our hearts find favor in You, O Lord! (Psalm 19)

Blinded By The Light — January 25, 2025

Blinded By The Light

Blinded By The Light

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Feast of the Conversion of Saint Paul

Blinded By The Light

As I was kneeling silently before the Lord, a great brightness shone before my spiritual eyes, but I could not see it clearly. It was like a living light which sparkled and sent out small flashing particles in every direction. These particles were smaller than a grain of dust. Nevertheless, even the smallest particle shone with a great flash. (Elizabeth) (May 2, 1962)

Today’s Readings: On his journey, as he was nearing Damascus, a light from the sky suddenly flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting me?” He said, “Who are you, sir?” The reply came, “I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting.(Acts 9)

Prayer Meditation- Lord as I spent time in prayer with You this morning meditating on this well known and loved conversion story of Saint Paul it struck me that he was blinded by Love, Your Flame of Love! Lord, some of us may have had conversion experiences like this where suddenly the scales fall from our eyes. Many of us do not have some “I’ve seen the light” experience but our hearts are illumined by Your Light of Love little by little, maybe kneeling in prayer, spending more and more time seeking Your Face. In any event, when the Your Light hits the darkness of our lives, we are never the same! There is a movie called Full of Grace about the life of Mary after the Ascension. My favorite line is when Mary tells the Apostles whatever they do in their lives to always remember that moment when we felt Your Gaze and saw Your Face! And if we haven’t felt Your Gaze yet, Lord give us faith to ask for this Grace! Because nothing is ever the same after hearts are set on fire with the Flame of Your Love! And if we have forgotten about that moment Lord we ask You to remind us of who we are in You! Lord, like Paul let us now proceed because You have made us Your own. Forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead we press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus (Philippians 3:12-14).

He Saw Their Faith — January 17, 2025

He Saw Their Faith

He Saw Their Faith

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Anthony, Abbott

He Saw Their Faith

Jesus: “Oh, how this pleases Me! So few times have I enjoyed participating in such an intimate banquet. The souls that make reparation and faithfully follow My desires are so few. (Jesus) (October 18, 1962)

Today’s Readings: They came bringing to him a paralytic carried by four men. Unable to get near Jesus because of the crowd, they opened up the roof above him. After they had broken through, they let down the mat on which the paralytic was lying. When Jesus saw their faith, he said to him, “Child, your sins are forgiven.” (Mark 2)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we read in the Gospel about the persistence of four friends who would not take no for an answer- too crowded, no worries, let’s just open up the roof and break through! We all want friends like that and we all want to be friends like that because we know that while there may be many obstacles in the way, what our loved ones really need is You! So how are we doing with this? Because in these days it is very common to have even the closest family members away from faith- We say we want the best for our family. But do we really if we are not paying attention to their souls? Lord please help us- if we can’t do the merciful deed or say the merciful thing let us at least say the merciful prayers (Divine Mercy in My Soul) and make sacrifices so that our loved ones would respond to Your Grace! Thank You Lord for the means You are giving us in our times through the Flame of Love to blind Satan and bring everyone to safety on the Ark of Mary! So let’s raise the roof and let’s leave no one behind.

Early To Rise — January 15, 2025

Early To Rise

Early To Rise

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the First Week of Ordinary Time

Early to Rise

At the dawn prayer, while I was meditating, I saw again the penetrating glance of the Lord’s eyes. (Elizabeth) (January 14, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Rising very early before dawn, he left and went off to a deserted place, where he prayed. Simon and those who were with him pursued him and on finding him said, “Everyone is looking for you.” He told them, “Let us go on to the nearby villages that I may preach there also.(Mark 1)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, You spent Yourself every day doing good during Your Public Ministry but You never failed to rest and to take time for prayer even if it meant getting up before everybody else. Lord, we all need our deserted places where we can pray each day- it can be just a small corner of a room but we need to go there each day and meditate on Your Word and pray, even for five minutes. Lord help us to imitate You each day and take time to pray and charge our batteries in the Silence of Your Sacred Heart so that when it is time to work, we can say with You let us go on to the nearby villages!

Grace Poured Out — January 10, 2025

Grace Poured Out

Grace Poured Out

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Friday After Epiphany

Grace Poured Out

Jesus: “You see, such is the soul that recollects before My altar but which, for years, has not kept itself clean. It does not look within, it comes into My presence out of habit. It also comes before Me with a layer of dust as thick as a finger on its soul.” (Jesus) (December 22,  1963)

Today’s Readings: “Lord, if you wish, you can make me clean.” Jesus stretched out his hand, touched him, and said, “I do will it. Be made clean.” (Luke 5)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, only You can wash away our sins and make us clean- You pour out Your Grace every day in the sacraments and heal us from all of our ills. Lord, how sad it is that so many come out of habit and not love. Who do not even see the dust that has accumulated on their souls. Lord, how many times is that us? If we are honest, more times than we would like to admit. But Lord, if You wish, You can make us clean if we but bring ourselves to the throne of Grace in humility and poverty of spirit, recognizing that we are nothing and You are all!
