Tuesday of the Eighth Week of Ordinary Time
We Have Given Up Everything?
Jesus: “Renounce yourself completely.” So that nothing would tie me to this world, I gave away everything to my children. Later on, I felt that I had done the right thing. Now, I had nowhere to rest my head peacefully. Our Lord kept urging me. Jesus: “Renounce yourself.” (Jesus/Elizabeth/1961-1962)
Today’s Readings: Peter began to say to Jesus,
“We have given up everything and followed you.” (Mark 10)
Prayer Meditation- O Lord this Gospel follows what happened with the Rich Young Man (Mark 10:17-27). The one who had followed Your Commandments from his youth but could not give his heart. Because our heart is where our treasure is (Matthew 6:21). Peter tells You he gave up everything to follow You. He also had not quite given it all because he ran away when it all became real. Not to throw St. Peter or the Rich Young man under the bus because on any given day can we say we have renounced ourselves completely so that nothing ties us to this world? What little string still ties us to Earth and keeps us from being all in? That keeps our walk from matching our talk? And are we even capable of any of this anyway? Lord You assured us yesterday that all things are possible for You. And today You tell us that for what we have given, You will give us a hundred times more but in Your Will and Your Time and not ours. O Jesus help us to truly surrender and give You our all reducing ourselves to our nothingness that You would fill us with what really matters- all of You!

Loving Him Who We Do Not See Except With Our Hearts
As I was kneeling silently before the Lord, a great brightness shone before my spiritual eyes, but I could not see it clearly. (Elizabeth) (May 2, 1962)
Today’s Readings: Although you have not seen him you love him; even though you do not see him now yet you believe in him, you rejoice with an indescribable and glorious joy, as you attain the goal of faith, the salvation of your souls. (1 Peter 1)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, now we see You as only through a glass darkly, not yet face to face (1 Corinthians 13). Yet, we love You and believe in You because we see You with the eyes of our hearts! Lord, help us to strive to see You with our spiritual eyes and hear what You are whispering into our souls each day!

No Longer Slaves
The Solemnity Of The Most- High Trinity
Jesus: “You, little spark, no matter how small you are, were created by Me and from Me. Draw close to Me without fear. I give you My brilliance, and by enlightening one another, you will no longer notice the lackluster of your soul. Even great saints were My small sparks. I made each one great to the degree that they tried to come close to Me. Those souls which used great effort received the brightness of My light. For Me, time does not exist. Some souls can run a long race in a short time, and I call them quickly to Myself. Others start late. Nevertheless, they make more progress than those who walk slowly and cautiously. Do you remember what I told you one time? ‘You fly like an arrow toward Heaven, but do not turn to look toward the earth lest the clamor of the world makes you dizzy.’ (Jesus) (August 21, 1962)
Today’s Readings: Brothers and sisters:
For those who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
For you did not receive a spirit of slavery to fall back into fear,
but you received a Spirit of adoption,
through whom we cry, “Abba, Father!”
The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit
that we are children of God,
and if children, then heirs,
heirs of God and joint heirs with Christ,
if only we suffer with him
so that we may also be glorified with him. (Romans 8)
Prayer Meditation- Lord, we praise You, we bless You and we adore You- Most Holy Trinity! You have created all of us for a purpose and You have an amazing plan for all of us (Jeremiah 29)- a plan with a future full of hope! You have not given us a spirit of fear but of power, love, and self- control! (2 Timothy 1). So let us draw close to You without fear as little sparks that You will set ablaze for Your Glory- no longer slaves but as Your dearly beloved children! We are joint heirs with You Lord and as we suffer in this world, we unite ourselves to Your Cross for the salvation of souls knowing that we will be glorified with You for all Eternity!

O Lord set a guard over my mouth except to praise You!

Saturday of the Seventh Week of Ordinary Time
Let The Children Come
Let your soul be filled with prayers of sacrifice, even on your days of rest. Offer these days especially for the young. Even when my Most Holy Son was tired, He wanted the children to come to Him. That is why you also must never be tired. You know, it is Him who asked you to continually share in His work of Redemption.” (May 4, 1962)
Today’s Readings: People were bringing children to Jesus that he might touch them,
but the disciples rebuked them.
When Jesus saw this he became indignant and said to them,
“Let the children come to me; do not prevent them,
for the Kingdom of God belongs to such as these.
Amen, I say to you,
whoever does not accept the Kingdom of God like a child
will not enter it.”
Then he embraced the children and blessed them,
placing his hands on them. (Mark 10)
Prayer Meditation- O Lord we bless You, praise You and glorify You because You never ever turn children down- You always want the children to come to You! So different from the world that does not seem to value children and families anymore. You want all of us to come to You as little children- with trust and surrender, because if we do not we will not be able to enter the Kingdom. We are nothing and You are all and You are Our Father who loves His children and we are all of His children! And You want us in these times to bring to You in prayer and sacrifice all of our children and young people so that they would know You, love You and serve You and life with You forever!

Lord it can be so hard to believe that yes, You do forgive and heal us if we but repent and ask! Jesus we trust in You!

Friday of the Seventh Week of Ordinary Time
Complain, Complain, Complain
“My Divine Blood waters all the particles of your body, making it strong and able to withstand this great martyrdom that you suffer continually without a word of complaint.. (Jesus) (December 12, 1964)
Today’s Readings: Do not complain, brothers and sisters, about one another, that you may not be judged. Behold, the Judge is standing before the gates. Take as an example of hardship and patience, brothers and sisters, the prophets who spoke in the name of the Lord. Indeed we call blessed those who have persevered. (James 5)
Prayer Meditation- Lord some days it seems all we do is complain! We complain about the weather, the traffic, our family, our co-workers, our circumstances- not giving a thought that we will account for every word that comes from our mouth (Matthew 12:36). Lord, we are so weak but it is Your Precious Blood that makes us strong so that we can offer all of our prayers, works, joys, and sufferings to You, including those “sandpaper” people You have sent to sanctify us, without complaint!

Lord, this is hyperbole maybe but the point is well taken. We need to detach from what causes us to sin and fall even if it is painful. A strong Word today but let us examine ourselves and see where this is needed in our lives!

Thursday of the Seventh Week of Ordinary Time
Salted with Fire “Encountering no resistance, the Flame will illumine souls with a gentle light. Those accepting the Flame of Love will be intoxicated by the abundance of graces and they will proclaim everywhere, as I said before, that such a torrent of grace has never been granted since the Word became Flesh.” (Mary) (November 7, 1963)
Today’s Readings: “Everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is good, but if salt becomes insipid, with what will you restore its flavor? Keep salt in yourselves and you will have peace with one another.”
(Mark 9)
Prayer Meditation- Lord we have all been salted with fire- The Fire of the Holy Spirit at our baptisms. And what have we done to keep this fire alive- have we separated ourselves from it by sin, have we become lukewarm and mediocre in our responses to Your Inspirations? Has our salt lost its flavor? Lord we ask today, in a special way for these times, that through the means of the power of the Immaculate Heart of Mary that You would pour Yourself, the Flame of Love, into our souls so that we will proclaim You everywhere in what we think, say, and do!
