May Our Feet Journey Together- Thanking God for His Heart For Us

Daily Devotional Based on the Spiritual Classic He and I

Speak in your own words; make up songs and prayer for Me as they come to your mind. Be My little companion; I am yours. I have never left you since you were born, and even before you ever came into the world, I thought of you with such tenderness. Thank your God for all that came from His heart for you, My little girl, and show your gratitude by asking Me to help you (July 16, 1942).

16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, as you teach and admonish one another in all wisdom, and as you sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs with thankfulness in your hearts to God. (Colossians 3:16).

For thou didst form my inward parts,
    thou didst knit me together in my mother’s womb.
14 I praise thee, for thou art fearful and wonderful.
    Wonderful are thy works! (Psalm 139:13-14).

17 pray constantly, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.  (1 Thessalonians 5:17-18).

O Lord we thank You that You want to hear from us in our own words, and prayers, and even songs. Yes, You even want to hear us sing songs! You have known us from before we ever came into the world, we are fearfully and wonderfully made! And You want us to be Your companion now and into Eternity. You hold each one of in Your Heart, the Heart that was pierced for us! So let us show our gratitude always by depending on You because we are nothing and You are all yet You love each one of us individually and personally.

May Our Feet Journey Together- Come To Him — July 13, 2026

May Our Feet Journey Together- Come To Him

Daily Devotional based on The Spiritual Classic He and I

Come to Me. Show Me your poor soul. Do as the sick folk in Judea did as I passed by: talk to me, beg Me. The gospel says, “He healed them all”. Quicken your faith and confidence. (July 16, 1942)

Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30).

16 That evening they brought to him many who were possessed with demons; and he cast out the spirits with a word, and healed all who were sick. 17 This was to fulfil what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah, “He took our infirmities and bore our diseases.” (Matthew 8:16-17).

 And I am sure that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ. 7 (Philippians 1:6).

O Lord, why are we so afraid to approach You at times? To really show You our poor souls as they really are? As if You don’t already know all about us anyway? Why do we just prefer to white knuckle life all alone then to call out for help? Because You call us today as You did in the gospel times. And You say come to Me- come for healing, for deliverance, for true freedom! Because You bore all of our infirmities and diseases and we can trust in You always! So let us increase our faith and confidence in You- approaching You in prayer, in Your Word, and in the Sacraments including Reconciliation, if that is what is needed, where You wait for us and You will never turn us away!

May Our Feet Journey Together- Desiring Him Alone — July 12, 2026

May Our Feet Journey Together- Desiring Him Alone

Daily Devotional Based on the Spiritual Classic He and I

Are you living for Me? Do you love Me enough to desire Me alone? Don’t look upon money as an end to itself but as a means of procuring My glory. Try to serve Me no matter what you are doing, just as I served you by every manner and means in My life on earth. Act with Me as if I were near your eyes, near your heart. And am I not? Then be near Me not only in My outward life, but seek Me also in My inward life turned toward My Father: in the perpetual offering of Myself for you all, in all that I did to make amends for you, in My moments of silence imbued with love, in My humble surrender as Man-God before God My Father. (July 10, 1947).

15 And he said to them, “Take heed, and beware of all covetousness; for a man’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.” (Luke 12:15).

23 Whatever your task, work heartily, as serving the Lord and not men, 24 knowing that from the Lord you will receive the inheritance as your reward; you are serving the Lord Christ.  (Colossians 3:23-24).

38 For I have come down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him who sent me; (John 6:38).

O Lord it is so easy to get caught up in the stress and anxiety of every day- worried about money perhaps or family problems or health and not trusting Your Providence. Because all of our circumstances are the means to procure Your Glory when united to You! You came to serve and not be served (Matthew 20:28) and You expect the same from us. To work at each task as if serving You! You ask us not only to imitate Your example but to surrender to Your Will just as You surrendered to Your Heavenly Father. You perpetually offered Yourself for all and fully united to Your Most Holy Divine Will we can do the same praying for all past, present, and future! So let us desire You alone and let You work in our working today! We love You Lord!

May Our Feet Journey Together- Unfinished Symphony Of His Passion — July 11, 2026

May Our Feet Journey Together- Unfinished Symphony Of His Passion

Daily Devotional Based On The Spiritual Classic He And I

All this month is consecrated to My precious blood, and you think so little about it…Don’t be surprised at having to suffer for Me or at being tested and tried for My sake. These are records to be filled out for eternity. You take your place in the sacrifice for which the crown is prepared. You play your part in the unfinished symphony of My passion. Love these last sufferings. They are part of your travel wardrobe. (July 11, 1946).

You know that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your fathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, 19 but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot. (1 Peter 1:18-19).

12 Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery ordeal which comes upon you to prove you, as though something strange were happening to you. 13 But rejoice in so far as you share Christ’s sufferings, that you may also rejoice and be glad when his glory is revealed.  (1 Peter 4:12-13).

21 When Peter saw him, he said to Jesus, “Lord, what about this man?” 22 Jesus said to him, “If it is my will that he remain until I come, what is that to you? Follow me!” ( John 21:21-22).

O Lord, this is a tough lesson today but the truth is we are all heading for Eternity and because of Your Precious Blood we can spend that Eternity with You! We were bought with a price. All of us are being tested and tried- there is nothing strange about that though when it we are in it, we can feel all alone and that it is all only happening to us while everyone else is just out there having a great life! We may even ask You, like Peter about John when You told him what kind of death he would suffer, what about him? We can even say why me? But these sufferings are nothing compared to the glory which will be revealed. We take our place in Your Sufferings when we are resigned to Your Will like our travel wardrobe on the way to Heaven where our crown awaits! Fiat!

May Our Feet Journey Together- Oneness — July 10, 2026

May Our Feet Journey Together- Oneness

Daily Devotional Based on the Spiritual Classic He and I

Oneness. I come back to this thought again and again. Why do you live all alone when you can be in Me at every moment? In Me: that’s Heaven itself without the face-to-face vision and the rapture. Then practice this at-one-ment. Practice adoration and tenderness.- Act just as though you could see Me. It’s such a good practice for your faith. And faith brings hope and love. (July 10, 1943).

Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1).

20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20).

20 Being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God was coming, he answered them, “The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed;21 nor will they say, ‘Lo, here it is!’ or ‘There!’ for behold, the kingdom of God is in the midst of you.”[ (Luke 17:20-21).

O Lord it can be so hard to believe. That You really want to be united to us. To be one with us just as You and the Father are one (John 10:30). That we are never alone- that the Kingdom of God is not some far away external thing but it is really within us. And that we can begin living Heaven already right here on Earth! All of this takes faith which is the conviction of things unseen. So let us practice adoration and tenderness in faith that You are always with us increasing our hope and our love!

May Our Feet Journey Together- Begin Afresh Every Day — July 9, 2026

May Our Feet Journey Together- Begin Afresh Every Day

A Devotional Based On The Spiritual Classic He And I

Begin afresh every day as through it were the very first. You are forever at the beginning. Don’t be afraid, for I am with you, and I know. Is there anything I don’t know? All the same, I like you to tell Me where you have failed and to explain yourself to Me. It brings out your confidence in Me. (July 10, 1941)

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases,
    his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
    great is thy faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23).

“Remember not the former things,
    nor consider the things of old.
19 Behold, I am doing a new thing;
    now it springs forth, do you not perceive it?
I will make a way in the wilderness
    and rivers in the desert. (Isaiah 43:18-19)

Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. (Matthew 5:3).

O Lord I thank You that Your mercies are new every morning! That each day we can begin again- You tell us we are forever at the beginning. And it is so easy to just be stuck in the past including our regrets and our mistakes, and yes our sins, and just replay them again and again in our heads. But You tell us not to remember the former things but to see the new thing You are doing in our lives each day as You make a way for us in the wildernesses and deserts of our lives. You know everything about us and yet You want us to tell You all about it in our poverty knowing it is You who will lift us up each day as we sing praises each morning to You in complete confidence!

May Our Feet Journey Together- Simple Prayer — July 8, 2026

May Our Feet Journey Together- Simple Prayer

Daily Devotional Based on the Spiritual Classic He and I

Don’t aim at saying an exact number of wordy prayers. Just love Me simply. A look of your heart. The tender smile of a friend.

“And in praying do not heap up empty phrases as the Gentiles do; for they think that they will be heard for their many words. (Matthew 6:7).

O Lord, my heart is not lifted up,
    my eyes are not raised too high;
I do not occupy myself with things
    too great and too marvelous for me.
But I have calmed and quieted my soul,
    like a child quieted at its mother’s breast;
    like a child that is quieted is my soul. (Psalm 131:1-2)

“And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you, they have their reward. But when you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you (Matthew 6:5-6).

O Lord, we just want to check off the boxes don’t we? Rosary, check, whatever Novena we are working on, check, month of the Sacred Heart or Precious Blood so let’s do the correct litany, check. And all of this is good- hardly just wordy prayers, they are prayers of the Church. But it is so easy to get the mindset of making prayer either a list to complete or said so quickly we cannot possibly be meditating on their meaning. And the Rosary in particular is meant to be a meditative prayer. And prayed from the heart as Our Lady tells us in Medugorje. Even in these very holy things we can make prayer about us and not You! Yet, You wait for us to love You simply- to just spend time with You in our little prayer corner at home or in Adoration. To even let You speak so that we can truly listen to You! So let us yes, pray all the beautiful prayers, but also spend time with You in quiet just keeping our eyes on You Jesus, with love for the Love that longs for union with us. And whether we are saying vocal prayers, spending time in meditation, or just sitting with You in the quiet may all be with purity of intention heart to Heart!

May Our Feet Journey Together- Who Is Your God? — July 7, 2026

May Our Feet Journey Together- Who Is Your God?

Daily Devotional Based on the Spiritual Classic He and I

Who is your God, you or I? Then why don’t you think of Me, more than of yourself?

“You shall have no other gods before me. (Exodus 20:3)

14 Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart
    be acceptable in thy sight,
    O Lord, my rock and my redeemer. (Psalm 19:14).

Thou dost keep him in perfect peace,
    whose mind is stayed on thee,
    because he trusts in thee. (Isaiah 26:3)

O Lord, how much time we spend thinking about ourselves. Most of us think about ourselves pretty much 24:7. And yet we say we love You and want to follow You. But the reality is from the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45). Because if we are thinking of ourselves we can be sure we are also talking about ourselves. And we wonder why we are full of fear, anxiety, and worry- maybe even anger and resentment because with You we can do nothing! (John 15:45). And without You, we really aren’t even good (Mark 10:18). Because all good gifts including goodness and kindness come from You! You are Our God, and it is by keeping our eyes and mind fixed on You that You can truly live in us and we can live in Your perfect peace, trusting in You! So let’s smash those idols we have made for ourselves and of ourselves and let us truly walk with You today Lord!

May Our Feet Journey Together- Little Annoyances — July 3, 2026

May Our Feet Journey Together- Little Annoyances

A Devotional Based on the Spiritual Classic He and I

Offer Me these little annoyances like your thorns to ease the pain of My own. (July 2, 1939)

24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, (Colossians 1:24).

18 I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us.  (Romans 8:18).

O Lord we all have little annoyances that happen to us each day. In the reading above, Gabrielle Bossis had lost her reduced fare pass for the train. If we wanted to we could find plenty to complain about in a day- waiting in line at the grocery store, technology in our life that seems to become more difficult to manage especially as we age, every day aches and pains. But what if we didn’t complain but we rejoiced, yes, rejoice because these sufferings added to Yours not only console You but they save souls! In union with You they do good for all! And the sufferings of our time on Earth, big and small. are not worth comparing with the glory that awaits us in Heaven! The reading in He and I goes on with You complimenting Gabrielle for smiling on the train at others despite the difficulties. And that is what You ask of us, nothing big, just a smile, or angry words held back, or just breathing rather than reacting. These little virtues, as St. Francis de Sales call them, increase our patience and make us most like You!
