Let Down Your Nets

Let Down Your Nets

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Thursday of the Twenty Second Week of Ordinary Time

Let Down Your Nets

With deep gratitude, I thanked Him that His attention extended also to our earthly needs. (Elizabeth) (February 14, 1965)

Today’s Readings: After he had finished speaking, he said to Simon, “Put out into deep water and lower your nets for a catch.” Simon said in reply, “Master, we have worked hard all night and have caught nothing, but at your command I will lower the nets.” When they had done this, they caught a great number of fish and their nets were tearing. (Luke 5)

Prayer Meditation- Lord how often we try to do it all in our own strength. We work hard and long hours and we feel we have nothing to show for it. We never think to turn to You first in our daily lives- we just keep spinning our wheels. But Lord, if we let You into our boats and listened to You and put out into the deep water, even when it does not make sense, we would know that , You are with us. You are whispering in our trials and our failures. You take the little effort we can give and You multiply it with just one touch of Your Grace and Favor! You are telling us today- do not be afraid and to have confidence in You because You always know what we need and what is best for us and You are always more than enough!

God’s Coworkers — September 4, 2024

God’s Coworkers

God’s Coworkers

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the Twenty Second Week of Ordinary Time

God’s Coworkers

Jesus said, “All of you have been called to My work of salvation, fathers and mothers, learned and ignorant, the well and the sick. All can work for Me, the free man and the one suffering in prison. What is important is the availability of the soul and the spiritual freedom which constitutes the culture of the soul.” (Jesus) (May 24, 1963)

Today’s Readings: Therefore, neither the one who plants nor the one who waters is anything, but only God, who causes the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive wages in proportion to his labor. For we are God’s co-workers; you are God’s field, God’s building. (1 Corinthians 3)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, in this time of crisis in the Church when it is so easy to get caught up in the news we forget that this is Your Church and You are still on the Throne! We are nothing but unprofitable servants in Your Kingdom! (Luke 17) and we are called to work with You to bring Your Kingdom here. You have no hands or feet but ours, that has not changed! We can all work for You, even those who are sick, in prayer, sacrifice, and in loving others especially those closest to us! Let us work with You today on Earth as it is in Heaven!

What Is There About His Word — September 3, 2024

What Is There About His Word

What Is There About His Word?

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Gregory The Great

What Is There About His Word?

As she (Mary) said: ‘Nothing comparable to this has happened ever since the Word became Flesh.’” (Jesus) (January 17, 1964)

Today’s Readings: They were all amazed and said to one another, “What is there about his word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out.” And news of him spread everywhere in the surrounding region. (Luke 4)

Prayer Meditation- Lord we stand amazed today at Your Word, what is it about Your Word spoken over us that heals us and strengthens us like nothing else! Lord, help us to bring You today what is unclean in us- only say the Word Lord and we shall be healed! Help us put on the Mind of Christ as St. Paul tells us we have through Your Spirit in today’s first reading (1 Corinthians 2)

Meditating On The Word — September 1, 2024

Meditating On The Word

Meditating On The Word

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Monday of the Twenty Second Week of Ordinary Time

Meditating On The Word

The material for my meditation these past months has been one phrase: “And the Word became Flesh.” This is an inexhaustible theme and I always meditate on it. (Elizabeth) (March 23, 1963)

Today’s Readings:

How I love your law, O LORD!
It is my meditation all the day. (Psalm 119)

Prayer Meditation: O Lord, help us to meditate on Your Word all day long- help us to love Your Law of Love. You are the Living Word made Flesh for us- Our Rescue and Our Redeemer! Help us like Elizabeth to never tire of pondering what can only be fathomed by the heart and not our human minds! May our hands gather together in unity Lord as we meditate on Your Saving Word all the day long!

Doers Of The Word —

Doers Of The Word

Doers Of The Word

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Twenty Second Sunday in Ordinary Time

Doers of the Word

“You see that almost no one is doing anything. The Flame of Love of My Mother is not yet going forward. You, My little one, must stir up the fire because you have been chosen for this. (Jesus) (July 12, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Humbly welcome the word that has been planted in you and is able to save your souls. Be doers of the word and not hearers only, deluding yourselves. (James 1)

Prayer Meditation- Lord, today we are in crisis in Our Church and in Our World. Help us to stir into flame (2 Timothy 1:6) the Word You have planted in our hearts and to be doers of the Word! Lord, please help us not to be paralyzed by the media and anything that makes us take our eyes off of You. It is so easy to get caught up in emotions and anger in times like this but that is what the enemy wants- anything but God and even Christians fall into the trap. We must fight fire with fire, the fire of hatred with the fire of love (Flame of Love Diary December 6, 1964)  Let us be sparks of light enkindled by the Flame of Love so that souls would be enlightened because the greater the number who pray and sacrifice, the greater the power of the Flame of Love on earth will be! Thy Kingdom come, thy Will be done. Fiat!

Foolish, Weak, and Lowly — August 30, 2024

Foolish, Weak, and Lowly

O my Jesus, blessed be Your Holy Name by which I came to be blessed. I, a lowly nothing! My Lord, my adored Jesus, it is also Your infinite goodness that proclaims Your glory. How good You are to keep my soul in constant humility! (Elizabeth) (January 13, 1966)

Today’s Readings: Rather, God chose the foolish of the world to shame the wise,
and God chose the weak of the world to shame the strong,
and God chose the lowly and despised of the world,
those who count for nothing,
to reduce to nothing those who are something,
so that no human being might boast before God. (1 Corinthians 1)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, we love You, we bless You and we adore You because You choose the weak to shame the strong. In other words, in our nothingness, You choose us in Your Infinite Goodness for Your Glory and the salvation of souls. It is the little and the humble that You use as we bring our five loaves of bread and two fish, our Rosaries, our fasting, and our sacrifices for You to multiply allowing Your blessings and graces to fall on the whole world like celestial dew! O Lord, to the world we are foolish, weak and lowly but to You we are the instruments You use to spread the effects of grace of Thy Flame of Love over all humanity!

All Out Of Oil — August 29, 2024

All Out Of Oil

All Out Of Oil

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Friday of the Twenty First Week of Ordinary Time

All Out of Oil

With motherly love, I will await your arrival in Heaven. The drops of oil resulting from your sufferings will fall on the earth into the lamps that are either extinguished or barely flickering, and they will ignite my Flame of Love. (Mary) (October 9, 1962)

Today’s Readings: Then the door was locked. Afterwards the other virgins came and said, ‘Lord, Lord, open the door for us!’ But he said in reply, Amen, I say to you, I do not know you.’ Therefore, stay awake, for you know neither the day nor the hour.” (Matthew 25)

Prayer Meditation- O Lord, I know so many who are just feeling like they are all out of oil! The bad news, the media, our own sinfulness and lack of perseverance, our losing sight of You as we look around at the waves and the water all threaten to take us under. Lord, help us to look up and fix our eyes on You, even if we cannot see You except barely with the eyes of our hearts and You seem long delayed! Help us offer our sufferings for the salvation of souls like drops of oil on the lamps of the multitude of souls separated from You!

Nothing Except Christ Crucified — August 28, 2024

Nothing Except Christ Crucified

Nothing Except Christ Crucified

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of the Passion of Saint John The Baptist

Nothing Except Christ Crucified

At night, I laid down to rest. Because of my weakness and tiredness, I could hardly think. Quite unexpectedly, the Lord Jesus surprised me with His words and started to converse. Never in my life had His words penetrated so deeply within me. I listened to them with a trembling heart and devout concentration. (Elizabeth) (June 9, 1965)

Today’s Readings: When I came to you, brothers and sisters,
proclaiming the mystery of God,
I did not come with sublimity of words or of wisdom.
For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you
except Jesus Christ, and him crucified.
I came to you in weakness and fear and much trembling,
and my message and my proclamation
were not with persuasive words of wisdom,
but with a demonstration of spirit and power,
so that your faith might rest not on human wisdom
but on the power of God. (1 Corinthians 2:1-5)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today we honor and remember the Passion of Saint John the Baptist. He had stood up for Your Commandments and was imprisoned. We can only imagine his fatigue, suffering and maybe even confusion in prison. Because Lord it is when we are weak we are strong (2 Corinthians 2:10) because You are strong in us. We all have our times of weakness and tiredness in our lives and in our service to You- times when we are really united to You, our crucified Lord, in our suffering. There is no victory without the Cross, however united to You we are assured that in faith no matter how weak and lost we may seem, we are operating not in our own human wisdom but in Your power and for Your Glory! Saint John the Baptist please pray for us because unless a grain of wheat falls into the Earth and dies, it remains alone; but if it does, it bears much fruit (John 12:24)

Jesus Is Coming-Look Busy! — August 27, 2024

Jesus Is Coming-Look Busy!

Jesus Is Coming-Look Busy!

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Wednesday of the Twenty First Week of Ordinary Time

Jesus is Coming- Look Busy!

Do not fear. I will be with you in this great work. But, be careful, because the Evil One is active. Only unceasing labor can remove this negligence in doing good. (Jesus) (May 1962)

Today’s Readings: On the contrary, in toil and drudgery, night and day we worked,
so as not to burden any of you.
Not that we do not have the right.
Rather, we wanted to present ourselves as a model for you,
so that you might imitate us.
In fact, when we were with you, we instructed you that
if anyone was unwilling to work, neither should that one eat. (2 Thessalonians 3)

Prayer Meditation- Lord at the time that St. Paul wrote his letter to the Thessalonians everyone expected Your Return in Glory to be any day and some to the point where they stopped working and just waited for You to come! And yet St. Paul set the example by working hard to earn his keep even while preaching the Gospel. Today, there are many prophetic rumblings and many of us are wondering about these times which are dire indeed and could well be the times prophesied about in the Bible. And yet, Lord it is not Your Will that You would have us standing around looking at the sky or worried and anxious about what may be coming when You could ask us for our own life today. What is Your Will for us- it is our correspondence to Your Grace and surrender to Your Will in the everyday hum drum life that we all get to live. To find us watchful but busy and faithful to our vocations- the faithful and wise steward whom You have set over our households (Luke 12). Lord every day is a gift- let us give it back to You each day having spent it in Your Divine Will and not in endless speculation and fear.

God Has Visited His People — August 26, 2024

God Has Visited His People

Today’s Consuming Fire Meditation- – A Daily Dose of the Flame of Love Diary Served Up with Today’s Scriptures

Memorial of Saint Monica

God Has Visited His People

“It is to the warm solidarity of the family sanctuary that souls come back to, after having strayed far. It is there that they come to find themselves and they once more return to God.. Do not think that once a child has become an adult, he no longer needs his parents. (Jesus) (January 17, 1964)

Today’s Readings: A large crowd from the city was with her. When the Lord saw her, he was moved with pity for her and said to her, “Do not weep.” (Luke 7) (Gospel for the Memorial)

Prayer Meditation- Lord today in this beautiful Gospel, and in Your words to Elizabeth Kindelmann and to us, You remind us mothers that we have a huge responsibility to bring our families to You. We can think so many of our circumstances are too far gone- that our prayers are bouncing off the chapel walls and our little prayer corners at home where we indeed weep. Yet Lord, nothing is impossible for You and Your plan for us and our children is so much bigger than we can ask or think. You have a plan for them which is a future full of hope (Jeremiah 29:11)  O  Lord, visit Your people, visit our families and heal them and call our children back to Your Loving Care! Through the intercession of Saint Monica and Our Blessed Mother we bring You our families!
