As I was asking the Blessed Virgin for a conversion. “A soul is costly. It takes time, sacrifices. Suffer for it. Unite your sufferings with Mine so that they may be more pleasing to the Father.” (June 8, 1938).
3 When the wine failed, the mother of Jesus said to him, “They have no wine.” 4 And Jesus said to her, “O woman, what have you to do with me? My hour has not yet come.” 5 His mother said to the servants, “Do whatever he tells you.” (John 2:3-5).
9 And let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due season we shall reap, if we do not lose heart. (Galatians 6:9).
24 Now I rejoice in my sufferings for your sake, and in my flesh I complete what is lacking in Christ’s afflictions for the sake of his body, that is, the church, (Colossians 1:24).
O Lord today as in everyday most of us are pleading for conversions most likely of family members. Many of us are doing this through the Blessed Mother and with the Rosary. We can feel like we are doing this day in and day out with absolutely no fruit. We may be tempted to give up. And yet You remind us that souls are costly- that it takes times and sacrifices so let us not grow weary in doing good! There is no magic formula, just love given for the Love that gave all for everyone, including our family members. Let us offer our sufferings for them uniting them to Yours for the sake of Your Body, the Church! We can feel like we have run out of the wine of prayer- and that You are deaf to our plight! And yet we know this is not true because the Blessed Mother and You see it all and with trust in You through Her let us always do whatever You tell us for Your Glory and the good of all souls and let us never lose heart!

I was thinking of Corpus Christi and He said: “When I have first place, the first place in every soul, then it will really be Corpus Christi.” “Don’t be afraid to enjoy me. You see this little insect darting straight into the sky? You do the same. Learn to look and you will learn to see Me, your Creator.” “Do you know what goodness is? Goodness is My mother.”(May 28, 1937).
16 The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not a participation in the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not a participation in the body of Christ? 17 Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread. (1 Corinthians 10:16-17).
The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. 2 Day to day pours forth speech, and night to night declares knowledge. 3 There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard; 4 yet their voice goes out through all the earth, and their words to the end of the world. (Psalm 19:1-4).
38 And Mary said, “Behold, I am the handmaid of the Lord; let it be to me according to your word.” And the angel departed from her. (Luke 1:38).
O Lord today is Corpus Christi- the Commemoration of Your Body and Blood. The Source and Summit of Our Faith! O Lord how You so want us to put You first place in our lives. When we receive the Sacraments You want us to receive You not only worthily but You want to live in us as a Living Host just as You describe to Saint Faustina in Diary Passage 1826. “”When I had received Jesus in Holy Communion, my heart cried out with all its might, ‘Jesus, transform me into another host! I want to be a living host for You…’ And the Lord answered me, You are a living host, pleasing to the Heavenly Father.”, You want to live in us fully united in every moment of our lives! To see You and worship You in all of Creation fully united to all that You are in Creation, Redemption, and Sanctification. A constant fusion of the human will with the Divine! After describing this complete union with You in the message to Gabrielle Bossis, You turn to Your Mother who is all goodness. The Blessed Mother lived every moment fully united to Your Most Holy and Divine Will and She is the Model for us to imitate and follow in learning how to truly put You First Place in all hearts that You would reign on Earth as it is in Heaven!

June 6—The Way of the Cross. I was offering it for France. “Remember that every event comes by the will of God. See Him in this and it will help you.” (June 6, 1940).
27 And there followed him a great multitude of the people, and of women who bewailed and lamented him. 28 But Jesus turning to them said, “Daughters of Jerusalem, do not weep for me, but weep for yourselves and for your children. (Luke 23:27-28).
11 In him, according to the purpose of him who accomplishes all things according to the counsel of his will. (Ephesians 1:11).
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? And not one of them will fall to the ground without your Father’s will. (Matthew 10:29).
O Lord, today’s message finds Gabrielle Bossis in the midst of World War II. She was offering prayers for her country. We too in these times find ourselves in a time of war and upheaval across the Globe. And we faithful pray for Your Mercy and Intervention. Even in our personal lives we may be in a time of war. Illness, grief, family strife, all kinds of stress. And yet You remind us that there is nothing that happens that is not allowed in Your Permissive Will. You tell us to see You in everything and this will help us. Even the hard stuff, the things that make us weep for ourselves and our children. The things we just can’t handle on our own. Lord we are Your little sparrows- seemingly insignificant and not worth much, but we do not fall to the ground without Your notice. You do not promise us that this life will be free of trouble, but You do promise that You will be with us in the trouble. And united with Your Cross and Your Passion all things come together for good (Romans 8:28) as we offer it all for Your Glory and the Salvation of Souls!

“Plunge into the infinite ocean of peace, calm as a beautiful sunrise. You remember the tints in the sky at Naples just before the sun rose, when the whole firmament and the whole sea were bathed in multicolored serenity. Think what the infinite perfections of My heart must be like. Can you realize all their varied beauty? Adore without seeing it. And because you have adored in blind faith, you will be rewarded. “Put your forehead against My forehead. Enter into my thoughts.” (June 5, 1941).
The sea is his, for he made it; for his hands formed the dry land. (Psalm 95:5).
26 A new heart I will give you, and a new spirit I will put within you; and I will take out of your flesh the heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh. (Ezekiel 36:26).
11 Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. (Hebrews 11:1).
O Lord You ask us today to plunge into Your Infinite Ocean of peace! You are peace and You are endless! And if the world You created is so infinitely perfect, how much more so Your Sacred Heart? The Heart that loves us and wants to dwell in us, a new heart and a new spirit to replace our stony hearts filled with our own self love and the effects of our human will not united to Your Divine Will! We cannot on this side of Eternity see this Heart and yet though we have not seen You, we love You (1 Peter 1:8). O Lord let us today adore You in faith and trust! Let us place our foreheads against Yours and enter into Your Mind, the Mind of Christ (1 Corinthians 2:16) and let Your Spirit dwell richly in us today that we would be filled with Your Peace!

“Love Me in any and all of your doings. Where is the one who will give Me the joy of beginning his heaven on earth? Will you? Love Me unceasingly, that is all.” (June 3, 1940).
4 Let all that you do be done in love. (1 Corinthians 16:14).
Our Father who art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, On earth as it is in heaven. (Matthew 6:9-10).
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray constantly, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18.
O Lord today You remind us of how You want us to live in You. Because You truly want to live in us and act in us in everything that we do! There is not one part of our day that is unimportant to You! First of all we are to love You in all things! All our doings. We busy folks out there have a lot of doings! We have work, family, household, and social commitments. We run from one thing to the next barely giving You a thought. And yet we can do it all in love-Your Love living through us and in us to sanctify each one o those routine acts for Your Glory and to save souls! You want our Heaven, our Heaven with You, because You are Heaven to begin right here, right now! This gives You so much joy and it is how You have meant us to live from all Eternity! And finally You want us to do this all unceasingly. Scripture tells us to pray without ceasing. We cannot do that unless we are united with You and Your Love, always calling You into our little acts of the day in the present moment! You are not a God who is distant but a God who wants, well, our everything united to Him! And it can begin right now with our next breath lived for You because in You we live, and move and have our being! (Acts 17:28). Fiat!

“When you ask, believe that I am good enough to answer you, otherwise you will deprive Me of giving. “Be crucified with Me. To be crucified is to be stretched against your desires, against the love of self . . . in poverty, obscurity, and obedience to the Father. “Remember that the crucifixion is the prelude to the resurrection, that is, to all joys.” (June 3, 1939)
24 Hitherto you have asked nothing in my name; ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full. (John 16:24).
20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. (Galatians 2:20).
5 For if we have been united with him in a death like his, we shall certainly be united with him in a resurrection like his. (Romans 6:5).
O Lord, the first part of what You are telling Gabrielle and us does not seem to go with the rest of the message, at least at first. Because You talk about us believing that You are good enough to give us what we ask. For most of us it’s likely good health, concerns for loved ones, enough resources- in a word, Your Providence. But are we seeking Your Heart or just Your Hand? Because You then remind us that to live in You is to live crucified. You are our crucified King- the One who knew no limits in pouring out Your Love for us. And You ask us to do the same especially for others- to allow ourselves to be stretched against our desires and love of self. And we don’t have to seek it- every illness, every humiliation at work, every misunderstanding in the family will do just that. And we realize how quickly we can come to the end of ourselves and our own poverty and we realize we have a choice. To fight against it all and to be stuck in bitterness or to surrender and trust in You offering all for Your Glory and the good of all souls! Because it is in the dying that we rise to the resurrection- to all joys! And that resurrected life can begin right here and right now, not just in Heaven, if it is truly You who lives in us! So let us always believe that no matter what we are asking for or not asking for You are always good enough to give us what we need always in the present moment! Fiat!

“Write! I don’t want people to be afraid of Me anymore, but to see My heart full of love and to speak with Me as they would with a dearly beloved brother. “For some I am unknown. For others, a stranger, a severe master, or an accuser. Few people come to Me as to one of a loved family. And yet My love is there, waiting for them. So tell them to come, to enter in, to give themselves up to love just as they are. Just as they are. I’ll restore. I’ll transform them. And they will know a joy they have never known before. I alone can give that joy. If only they would come! Tell them to come. . . .” (Voice full of yearning.) (Jesus, June 1, 1939).
28 Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me; for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” (Matthew 11:28-30).
8 But God shows his love for us in that while we were yet sinners Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8).
There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set me free from the law of sin and death. (Romans 8:1-2).
O Lord here we are in the month of the Sacred Heart! Do we have any idea, can we even fathom Your Love, the Love of God! We come to You with so much baggage- we come with distrust, with our woundedness, with our fear of You! We are afraid to come to You, the Love that never gives up and never lets go! Our Father, our Brother, our Friend! And You are begging us just to enter into Your Heart where Your love awaits and You want us to come just as we are! Just as we are You will restore and transform us! We can come to You in prayer, in Your Word, and in Your Sacraments including if it has been a while the Sacrament of Reconciliation where all is restored and forgiven! Lord, Let’s tell You today from our hearts that we want to enter into Your Sacred Heart and let You do the rest!

Tonight when you went to your open window to look at the splendid sky strewn with stars whose light glinted among the flowering cherry trees, you listened to the nightingale of the island and you felt the joy of having so powerful a bridegroom. Oh, may this and many other spectacles in nature increase your confidence in Me.” (April 27, 1947)
The heavens are telling the glory of God; and the firmament proclaims his handiwork. (Psalm 19:1).
But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the air, and they will tell you; 8 or the plants of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. 9 Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? 10 In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind. (Job 12:7-10).
Bless the Lord, all works of the Lord, sing praise to him and highly exalt him for ever. 36 Bless the Lord, you heavens, sing praise to him and highly exalt him for ever. 37 Bless the Lord, you angels of the Lord, sing praise to him and highly exalt him for ever. 38 Bless the Lord, all waters above the heaven, sing praise to him and highly exalt him for ever. 39 Bless the Lord, all powers, sing praise to him and highly exalt him for ever. 40 Bless the Lord, sun and moon, sing praise to him and highly exalt him for ever. 41 Bless the Lord, stars of heaven, sing praise to him and highly exalt him for ever. (Daniel 3:35-41)
Reflection- O Lord how often do we ignore what is right in front of us- the beauty of creation! And yet You created the Earth for us- made in Your likeness and image! You hold all of creation in Your Mighty Hand! And we can have confidence that the God who even the wind and the sea obey (Mark 4) holds our every heartbeat, breath, thought, word, and deed as well our sufferings also in Your Mighty Hand! So let us sing praise placing our I love You on all of creation for Your Glory and the good of all!

April 26—“Lord, Your poor little girl, Your poor image, is here before you, yearning for You with all the strength of her being.”
“Have you noticed how people talk among themselves, discussing all their personal affairs? They spend so much time this way and it does them so little good. Don’t you think that if they gave themselves to Me, their friend, I should rejoice to have My place in their thoughts and I should know how to reward their confidence munificently? Don’t you think that it would create a moment-to-moment intimacy between them and Me, and this would be a joy for them, because close to Me their lives would lose their tension. “You understand? It would be life together with Me—I carrying the heavy end of things. So again I say, speak with Me, My little ones. Speak with Me. And our hearts will merge. Isn’t this the aim of My Christians? Isn’t that why you want to die? Then begin by living this heart-oneness. Seize upon every opportunity. Find every pretext. You aren’t bold enough. For some of you it is because you are indifferent. “But My close friends, why, why don’t they call louder to Me from their heart’s depths? If only their belief were less like unbelief! If their hope were fixed upon My help . . . And if, in all simplicity, their love loved Me more. I should be there looking after everything in their day, and when night fell, their eyes would close again on My face. “You know what it is to sleep that way—within My embrace? Would you like to learn better? Remember, it’s a question of beginning over and over again. Of trying to grow. Of taking great care not to be satisfied with yourself. But ponder often on your poverty. Tell Me about it and My heart will be all eagerness to help you since you are so little, so weak. And when you call Me, be sure to give Me the most tender names. I’ll recognize the voice.”
7 Cast all your anxieties on him, for he cares about you. (1 Peter 5:7).
9 And I tell you, Ask, and it will be given you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 10 For every one who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. (Luke 11:9-10).
2 And if I have prophetic powers, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. (1 Corinthians 13:2).
Reflection- O Lord we all want to take our problems to anyone who will listen and talk to anybody but You! And yet You wait for us and You ask us to bring everything to You! To cast our cares! And not only to come but to come with confidence because You know what we need before we even ask! You so long for us to lean against Your Sacred Heart, just like St. John at the Last Supper, and to trust You with everything! But how many, even those who are Your closest friends, don’t due to indifference, distrust, or giving in to anxiety and fear. You call us to come to You in our littleness, our nothingness really, and in our weakest moments where we are the most overwhelmed. Not relying on ourselves and our version of our path to sainthood but only on You because You are always eager to help us when we humbly bring all of our concerns to You with childlike faith and trust!

A light bulb was missing in front of the Blessed Sacrament. “Lord, let my heart burn before You there in its place.” “To burn would not be enough. You must be consumed. I mean you must burn right out. This is what I did for you, for all of you. Don’t you feel the desire to do the same for Me? This is what it means to simplify everything in you to a single principle, a single élan toward your great friend. Isn’t this restful? Isn’t it your goal? And don’t you find that this changes your entire being? You can see that My call is blessing, can’t you, and that your response will bring you joy? “O answer! Answer unceasingly. Your strength will increase and you will give it to others so that it will go from soul to soul as a torch is passed from hand to hand. The living spring is your Christ. Drink at the very fountainhead, for the closer you come to the fountain-head the more your cup will run over.
28 Therefore let us be grateful for receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken, and thus let us offer to God acceptable worship, with reverence and awe; 29 for our God is a consuming fire. (Hebrews 12:28-29).
I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, (Ephesians 4:1).
They go from strength to strength; the God of gods will be seen in Zion. (Psalm 84:7).
6 And he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give water without price from the fountain of the water of life. (Revelations 21:6)
Reflection- O Lord You desire that we burn for You, to burn for the Love that consumes us like fire! We make things so complicated and yet it is our simplicity that You desire, our simple love worthy of the calling You have had on our lives since our baptism. Your call is a blessing, transforming us from glory to glory and strength to strength! You are the Living Water, the Living Flame of Love which You want passed from heart to heart, soul to soul for the salvation of souls and the good of all. Blessed Mother, You who hold in Your Immaculate Heart perfectly the Flame of Love, which is Jesus Himself, please show us how to do what Jesus asks for His Glory and the good of all!
